Gionee announced its new lineup of A series smartphones - A1 and A1 Plus - at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 today. The brand new products carry on Gionee’s product DNA, a long-life battery, while also focusing on enhanced photo quality for selfies.

William Lu, President of Gionee, said at the launch event: “We have noticed that more and more people are regarding selfies as an expression of themselves and they tend to share their photos through various social channels whenever and wherever they are. As a consumer-oriented smartphone manufacturer, we hope to set up the evolution of the selfie experience and provide the best portfolio at the best price.”

Super Selfie
The A-series will remain Gionee’s core product line in overseas market and continue to focus on selfie performance. Featuring a 20MP selfie camera and powerful 13MP+5MP rear dual cameras, the A1 Plus allows users to take bright, beautiful and natural-looking selfies and photos in any light.

To ensure an excellent selfie experience, a customized selfie flash is used to spread light onto faces more evenly and softly. The soft lighting effect is able to enhance facial complexions, giving users a natural glow and rosiness. Gionee’s independent facial enhancement algorithm automatically detects a user’s face and applies custom beauty settings.
Other key features have also been developed to guarantee a high quality selfie, for example, Gionee’s facial recognition system and advanced algorithms have gone into the bokeh-selfie mode, which allows users to blur backgrounds with an artistic bokeh while still allowing their faces to stand out. Users can enjoy studio-quality depth and background bokeh effects.

Super Battery
As Gionee’s legacy, both the A1 and A1 Plus feature long life batteries and seamless user experiences. An integrated solution of the software and hardware was developed to guarantee that the device always has power.

The A1 Plus sports a 4550 mAh battery, while the A1 has 4010 mAh, providing enough power to get users through the day and beyond, even though video streaming, graphic-intensive gaming or GPS navigation.

Gionee provides 18W ultrafast charge and dual charging chips within the A series so that users can enjoy a faster, safer and worry-free charging experience. Many who are saying gionee battery is crap haven't even used a gionee phone.Majority of them are tecno agents.Yea, we know their monikers by how hard they try to oversell tecno phones and put other brands down. All i can say is this...Stop the hate!Appreciate a good thing and advice your favorite brand to step up their game. For someone who has used 3 gionee phones back to back - gionee p5w, s plus and now m6. I can authoritatively say gionee had gotten the superb battery life of their phones on lockdown!Finally, we all prefer some brands to others, it's plain dumb to come online and hijack every thread about a brand you don't like with false claims, all in a bid to spoil their name.I have news for you, a lamp set on a hill must always shine!The gionee doesn't make noise or overhype their products, yet they sell internationally. Make some of una get small sense, the phone will sell regardless of the crappp you spew on any gionee thread.To set the record straight, i am not a gionee agent. I am just a user that has used a lot of phones, from even apple and samsung and came to the conclusion that gionee phones are affordable, durable, sleek and blessed with very good battery life.

What a horror story .I was in their shop to buy a bb torch some years back but they did not have it in stock,reading your story now ,I realize I was lucky not to buy from them. What a bunch of crooks selling expensive phones without warranty.I'm surprised you involved the police in a civil matter though. Pls don't let the matter die like that,involve the relevant agencies. More people need to start complaining about wrongs in Nigeria
