In the second republic most of the NPP(nigerian peoples party) senators like tony anyanwu basil okwu and the others often went against the Partys position on certain national issues recently I watched an old press conference given by the then governor of the old anambra state jim nwobodo where he attacked the npp senators for supporting one presidential bill according nwobodo the old anambra state stands to lose finacially(about N20 million montly then) if the bill was passed I believe the pdp spokesman was wrong to have criticised the senators once you are elected to the parliament you owe an obligation to the nation, electorate and not party 2 Likes |

Nigerian must take it upon themselves to protect these new pipelines we musnt rely on security agencies to safeguard the pipeline. We must bear in mind that most of these things we regard as government property are our property if there is for example a case of pipeline vandalism the people that will bear the loss are the people and not the government there may be unavailability of products leading to high prices of petroleum products there may be pipeline explosions leading to loss of lives and properties government on the other hand will be less affected when they like they may decide to fix the pipeline or not (the pipeline suppplyng petroleum products to enugu and aba depots of the nnpc are yet to be fixed after more than 10 years) some victims of pipeline explosions are yet to receive compensations from government let us Nigerians make it a duty to protect government property as for me if I catch any vandal I don't care your condition you won't like what I will do to you 1 Like |

[quote author=obasiken post=41310655]I was part of a team that introduced some foriegn investors to a governor in the south east. They wanted to start a palm plantation and refine the palm oil to meet europe standard before exporting it. This plantation will employ 2000 people for a start and return about 1.5b per month to the state government. All they needed was land. The governor asked us how long before ROI (return on investmvent). We told him 6 years cos palm tree takes time to grow. The governor told us he cannot be investing for his successor to come and reap. obasiken@yahoo.com That's ochendo t.a for you and me but if you and the team of investors had told him that you intend to set up a newspaper company aimed at attacking his political foes like ouk (orji kalu) he would have given you all the support including the funds you need to set up the company as this will benefit him 1 Like |

In the 6th line of my post what I meant to say was how can I consider myself with my mental faculties if I rented a house despite how badly it has been used by the last occupants 1 Like |

After seven months of no recorded success in office it beats my imagination that someone who is well respected en masse can still be telling us that jonathan should be blamed. How can I consider myself sound with my mental faculties despite how badly it has been used and still failed to implement the repair or remedy the property from continuous damage. If today $1 equals N280 which wasn't so in may 29, petrol now sells for N170 which wasn't so in may, Nigerian issued master card and visa can no longer issue transactions at ATMs overseas which wasn't the case in may and all you do is to blame jonathan who left office since may 29th then you are not hopelessly helpless but scientifically untrainable 1 Like |

Both the minster and the governor are equal the minister has more access to the national cake than the senator a minister can decide not to reply to any summons by the senate however a senator may decide not to appropriate any money to the ministers ministry during budget approval you can help me by expanding this arguement I need to learn more 1 Like |
