@base83 Congrats. When did your eligibility start? Late April applicant are getting PPR. We've hardly heard from March and early April applicants. Maybe another office is now handling new applications. |

Oreoluwamipo: Indians get ppr faster than us lol
Most Indians go through SDS route. I doubt most Nigerian applicants would meet the requirements. 1 year tution fee 10k CAD GIC arrangement And in most cases, a bank statement is required 1 Like |

Cceemmaa: I wish to thank everyone for your kind words and advice. However,I have done some research on some schools and courses I can take up,considering my work experiences as a state counsel in the department of commercial law in a ministry during nysc, legal practitioner in a law firm and presently a legal advisor in a company that's into buying and selling. Furthermore, I have a registered business that I run online. Here are the courses I found that may be related to my experiences and also for visa purposes. 1. Analytics for business decisionmaking 2. Certificate in Business intelligence and analysis 3 International business management 4. Advanced law enforcement and investigation 5. Human resources management 6. Business law(expesnive) 7. Business management 8 Justice studies 9 Natural resources and environmental law inspection and management Thanks. I would be waiting for responses. If you can't make this decision yourself with all the research you've done, you will find it difficult to write a convincing SOP. Whatever program you choose, make sure there's progression in your level of education. |

gbadeolu1: Hello house, I'm happy it ended in praise!!!!
JUST GOT PASSPORT REQUEST NOW!!! BUT...
1. My resumption date was May 10, but got approval on 27th. Should I apply to defer my resumption till Fall?
2. As the study permit approval was long belayed, I had decided to take an opportunity in the US. Now, I'm in a school in the US. What do you suggest I do? Also, can I have my passport stamped in the US instead of posting to Nigeria?
3. Deferring my resumption till Fall will mean I will be losing the funding I got, which was to start this May. Does it worth it to proceed?
Some of my questions may be best answered by me but your contributions may enlighten me.
Thanks .1. All school activities are still basically done online so I see no reason you should defer. Reach out to the school authorities explaining the situation and estimated time of arrival to Canada. 2. I think you'd have to send passport to Nigeria through courier. I'm not sure. 3. You're in the best position to answer this but try as much as possible to resume for the may intake. Congratulations 1 Like |

Not only you oooooooooo. My application is 4 Months old since i submitted. Till today the have not request for medicals and i'm waiting for them to request for it.. If you get medical request today, and you're yet to book an appointment, just add another estimated 2 months to your PPR. That's the reality. There's a reason people do upfront medicals. 2 Likes |

madamg: Yes ooo. Is it funny?
It is naa, considering there are still some applicants from last year awaiting decision. I don't what it is, but it would take something special for a Nigerian applicant to get a medical request within a month. NB: Go and do upfront medicals to avoid another delay in the process. |

Hello everyone here. I suppose am the newest member and I was motivated to join the group after seeing Lianna' s testimony. I have been reading most posts since thread 18 and really a great selfless job you all do here especially the gurus.
Please Lianna how do we connect cos your application is timeline is really amazing.
I applied since Feb 5 and NSE came March 11 and they acknowledged March 15. No update since then, even though I saw what may be referred as ghost update last week.
School is University Canada West and MBA as well.
Guess, I should go and do upfront medical since I have been waiting.
Just to add, it's a family application; my wife and Daughter included and am self funded.
I have a very decent job with more than 12 years experience and now a senior manager. My POF is up to $CAD 140k and I have gotten study leave from my employer. As per other ties, we own our own home worth N25m with numerous landed properties. Also had my Master from UK in 2008. Decent travel history, covering Italy, UK, Switzerland, Us and Dubai.
All things been equal my application is water tight, but in the end, it's all about God's favors.
I have written to IRCC Nairobi and Lagos 2 times now and they replied saying application is under active review.
Would appreciate anyone's words of further guidance and direction while I continue to pray. Program starts October.
Lianna2020 pls do u mind I drop my no or email if appropriate.
Many thanks and good luck and God's favors to us all in Jesus Name Amen !!! All you can do now is to order for your GCMS note to have a better understanding of your application status. Decision might be made before it gets to you tho. Gurus here do not encourage applying with ones family. Application for family is done after approval for main applicant. Your profile seems promising tho, so hope for the best. 2 Likes |

chinwenikky: Good evening, I have been going through most of the responses to questions about study permit and I appreciate all the help that are pouring in on this platform. I have a question: I have a -one-year letter of acceptance to Conestoga College to study PGC in Food processing. After this, I intend to continue and study for a Master's degree in Food Science. What should I write as my proposed length of study? I am going to study PGC because I have an HND in Food Technology, hence cannot go in for a direct Masters in Food Science. Thank you. 1 year. You can mention your intention to further your studies in your SOP. 1 Like |

Hassan19: Good evening everyone, please I need your help on this. Am I supposed to apply for a work permit to participate in a co-oo program? It’s not mandatory on my offer letter. I don’t know the meaning sef, can someone please explain and give some advise on it. I'm ignoring the bolded part because you can easily get an answer using Google. It should be your first source for any information. My advice is that you click yes. Make a reference to it in your LOE that studying in Canada or your selected institute gives the opportunity to graduate with workplace experience through the co-op system. You won't get that while studying in Nigeria. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Any other person can only vet and provide guidance. I find the process of reading someone else's LOE exhausting, however with the payment of a small fee, I will have an obligation. 1 Like |

Y'all should stop using third parties to make payment for your application. The process of creating a virtual dolllar card using the barter app is simple. Although the rate is on the high side, you avoid certain situations such as chargeback on payment. Our nationality is already associated with fraud and we keep giving them a reason for it to remain that way. 11 Likes |

Ayodeji786: Yes I know. I undergone all that before in 2019. Lol but it’s evidence that decision has been made.
During my time, I got medical passes and BVL at same time. And approval follow afterwards.
@justwise is a witness to I and Blessing situation.
All the best to other applicants still waiting.
Do you think the speed is because applicant is a second timer? The processIng time is very remarkable. September intake?. |

Ayodeji786: I submitted all NSE requirements when applying for my friend from Canada in May 1st. Her application seems really fast.
Application submitted: May 1st Review of Eligibility: May 14th Medical Passed: May 19th BVL: May 19th.
She is a second time applicants because she use agents in her first application after which I see the agent scammed her and the parents.
BEWARE OF AGENTS PLEASE!!!! It's quite fast but BVL doesn't mean approval. All the best. 1 Like |

RoyalDukeDon: The refusal might not be from financial aspect though ,it could be some other reasons. That's literally the only reason for 1st refusal. Did you actually see the part I highlighted at the bottom? "Not enough finance proof (only payed GIC and tuition)"For better context, he paid 2 semesters tution fee and GIC and yet he was refused because financial proof wasn't enough. |

peruxie: Guys I was sent this today...how can I tackle the 3rd part as there is no way I can pay the full tuition and accommodation when I am not guaranteed an approval. Also, my salary account is always empty as the statement is being asked for. I guess you're going to be granted study permit if you provide all that has been requested. Do the GIC arrangement as suggested above. We are all rooting for you. 2 Likes |

Okay thanks But to elaborate…. 1) Is it more compact than the normal one in terms of transaction history/detail ?
2) Also is the certificate given to you the same as copies of what was sent to embassy because some banks can give you a copy (according to the mybankstatement website) ?
1. It's probably the same in regards to transaction details 2. The bank provide the certificate to the applicant and not the embassy. The applicant is required to upload the provided certificate. Bank only provide statement of account to the embassy which requires a password which is included in the certificate applicants are required to upload. |

Johanneiyoha: Hello Gurus in the house Are documents needed to be notarized for applying Canada study permit online. If yes, what are the documents that need to be notarized? Notarisation of documents is not a requirement. People do notarize affidavit of support tho, and that's ok. Notarisation of every document won't improve your application. All that's important is for an applicant to meet eligibility requirements. |
