For those of you having issues with all sorts of international transactions. I was able to use barter virtual card by flutterwave to pay tuition fee.

What's wrong with you people asking for WhatsApp group? What discussion do you want to have that can't be discussed here?. A platform like this is easily discovered by other intending applicants. A WhatsApp or telegram group is totally unnecessary except for people traveling in group.

Good evening honourable members in the house. I want to know if I can apply for study visa like by this month for fall (September) intake? Can I also apply without landed property or building from my sponsor? Your advice is needed, please. Thanks.
landed property is not necessarily a requirement.

@mullingtee Do as he has said
Uzomachukwu:

Your 'deliberate' omission of your undergraduate education details amounts to a misrepresentation of information. Even if your transcript and cert were not ready at the time of your visa application, you ought to have mentioned it in both your SOP and CV that you've a law degree from so-and-so university, and that you've completed law school in Nigeria.

Moreover, going from a university degree (in Cyprus) to a post-Baccalaure diploma (in Canada) will require you to present a very strong SOP to justify your choice of study, lest the visa officer assumes you're an economic migrant masquerading as a student. As such the 1-page SOP might indeed be very insufficient.

If you get the strong feeling, as I do, that your application might be rejected, you could choose to withdraw it and reapply ASAP with appropriate documentation.

Application can be rejected before processing begins
Yes, probably very early on during the application process. In this case NSE request had already been made. I don't believe Visa officers just cancel an application without given any reason. His agent is shady.

@Sleekcee your agent is not being straight with you. Application is never cancelled. It's either you get visa or you don't. Visit your agent and insist on seeing your application dashboard.

What I mean is this; as the programme is for two semesters alone and they have signified on the possibility of taking the whole course online, is it possible that Visa officers rejects my application based on the fact that I can take the course online since it's just for 8 months (approximately one year)?
That I can't answer

Hello good people.
So I got the anticipated mail from Centennial Africa admission team today. Something bugs me;

Please note that program delivery is Hybrid and/or Online. In class delivery will resume once government guidelines allow on campus delivery.

Program Code – 2890 Program Name - Insurance Management

Intake – Fall 2021, Sep 07, 2021

Student number: xxxxxx

Tuition Fee - Approximately $17206.36 CAD for one academic year ( Two Semesters )* 1 Canadian semester = 4 months*
Due Date of Deposit – Payable now (there is no guarantee on availability of space)

What does the bolded really mean? Will it affect my study permit request?
Thank you.
. Depending on government protocols, program s going to be held online or in class or combination of both.

The money was transferred to the person who changed it, and $5000 cash was received from him.
I still don't see any issue. Just make a reference to the transaction in your sop, but you'd have to submit both naira and dollar statement of account as prove.

Good day guys. Please I have a question.

Is it legal to state that you converted naira to dollar at the black market (Bureau d' change) in your SOP? My sponsor withdrew above #2million in december from one bank account and bought $5,000 USD cash and deposited into another account (domicilliary) on the same day. The balance is a bit above $8000 US. I'm trying to explain the reason for the lump sum.

Or do you think there is no need to explain this in the SOP?

Thank you.
What concerns them with black market? Just a withdrawal was made from a savings/current account to fund domiciliary account.

Canada is way too strict!

I will just go with the close family friend then.
One more question please, will a one year MBA/MSC affect my chances of getting Visa?

What are the chances of getting a positive study visa extension when I switch to a health related course(BSc) on getting to Canada?

I appreciate all your responses.
First of all I'm just also just an applicant. Personally I doubt course duration affects outcome of visa application. I'm not sure about your second question.

Thank you.
I have been getting a lot of negative feedbacks in terms of sponsorship.
Here is what I plan to do so I can comfortably use my mom as my sponsor together with the money I have.

My mom has a small scale business which she has consistently ran for more than 25 years. Unfortunately, it isn't registered. I want to start the process of registering her business, get tax clearance cert on it and getting papers for her landed property in the villa.

Do you think I can do all these and still meet up for the September intake?

Situation is dicey.

As long as you can package yourself and provide convincing evidence. You're good to go. The rest is by grace.

Hello People, I applied for a master's in 3 Canadian universities now and currently waiting for their favorable considerations of my applications but I'm disturbed if my current age could be a barrier. I'm 42 going to 43 now and not sure if I could scale this visa people hurdle. please, from the experience gathered so far, could anyone throw more light as regard age in this race. thank you.

Your age definitely makes it harder, I can't say impossible because I'm no expert in the field.

Good morning and many thanks to everyone helping out here. I got my offer letter yesterday from Centennial College. Please is there any WhatsApp group for Centennial students?

My school resumption date is May 2022, when is the best time to apply for visa?

I await your kind feedback

Thank you.

I also applied to Centennial College but I am looking at September intake. How long did it take to get an offer? And by the way did you mean 2021?

Even me I did not have up to 30k cad in my account but I had sufficient funds for my study but if you google NSE requirements it says 30k cad and its based on that we mention the amount here. There is no harm having more than required but if you do not please still submit. Highest your application will be processed via the normal route. Like they say no two applications are the same

Well said

There she is. See what she wrote regarding NSE.
Inioluwa1:

NOTE: When I got the NSE Request for a Mybankstatement Cert, I initially sent series of webforms and mails that I don’t want to do because I was seeing $CAD 30,000 minimum when we barely had half! I was led to submit it with a balance of 3.6M Naira (having already paid $CAD 8,500 deposit) because upon reading the letter again, it said “Proof of Financial Support A mybankStatement certificate showing sufficient funds for your studies for at least 6 months and 12 months of banking history”, which mean (to my new understanding) half of the requirement for a year’s sufficient funds… English can be hard.
Let me not bore you. I hope and trust I have been able to restore someone’s faith here. Don’t be moved by what you see (even on this forum, I saw people with over ten times of what my mother has and even being fully-funded and what not, not getting approved, I’m not despising anyone - God forbid, just keep the faith and DO YOUR HOMEWORK well, God cannot be mocked.), your joy is key – don’t lose it, keep busy and don’t stay idle - depression sets in faster then, a delay can never be a denial.
I’ll be resuming September 2021. Let me stop here, it has ended in praise!

Did you meet the financial conditions for the MBS? 30k cad being in the account for a 6 months minimum period? I heard that when this aspect is not met IELTS result alone cannot guarantee faster processing as they will have to run more checks. I do not know how true it is though but I suspect this is why some applications are taking longer to finalize. We can only just hope for the best in the end

where did y'all get this NSE fund requirement of 30k cad being in an account for 6 months. One person that got her permit stated the NSE required “Proof of Financial Support A mybankStatement certificate showing sufficient funds for your studies for at least 6 months and 12 months of banking history”. The 30k cad is misleading.

If you have sent your statement of account with your application, there is no need again.
Furthermore, it will be process through normal route after NSE request deadline. Ok.
