Food / Re: What I Bought With 9,000 Naira In Russia In 2025 by Sicklebear28: 2:31am On Jan 06 |
free2ryhme:
I see you're sharing your experiences with food prices in Russia and how you’re making the most of student discounts. But I can’t help but notice the comparison to Naira prices. While I get the temptation to convert everything into Naira for familiarity, it’s important to remember that the Russian economy doesn’t operate in Naira, and their prices are set in rubles based on their own local market conditions.
Converting foreign prices into Naira might give a sense of how expensive things are, but it can also create a skewed perspective. The reality is, what you’re spending in Russia is relevant to your local context there. It’s all about adjusting to the economic environment you’re in. For example, food prices and overall living expenses in Russia might be more affordable for some when you consider the ruble’s value and the cost of living in relation to local income.
While it’s common for people to compare costs between currencies, especially in a place with economic challenges like Nigeria, sometimes the habit of constantly converting prices into Naira can reflect a deeper sense of scarcity or poverty mentality. It’s not necessarily about being wrong, but more about adjusting the mindset and recognizing that in other countries, the cost of living is based on different economic realities. You’re in Russia, so think of your expenses in rubles and adjust accordingly!
Also, it’s great that your church pastor is supporting you with food staples. That kind of community support is priceless, especially when you're living abroad.
You are in pain The Great agbadorian. Your God brought T-pain. Allow the young student of Russia to inform us the living standard of Russia which your dead god refuse to give Nigerians. Nonsense everywhere |

I don't know the size of my farm. I've never measured it. However, it's not by the size of farm. It is by how well you take care of your Beans farm. The major factors that affect the output of your Beans farm include: how you keep your beans farm from weeds, the time you plant your Beans (beans doesn't like too much rain), application of insecticide etc
When you do it right, you will have a bountiful harvest in a small piece of land.

Xpol: I'm bringing this here not because of the money I lost but I want to prevent more victims.
Okoroemeka is a disguised scammer. Don't buy seeds from him especially if your place is far.
Currently he's having some damaged pepper seeds, when you order for pepper seeds he'll deliberately send the damaged seeds and when you complained, he will tell you to just nurse it and let's see if some will germinate, of which he knew it will never germinate. He will promise to send you a replacement if it doesn't germinate, then later turn around and accuse you of being the one who damage the seeds.
I stopped doing business especially online transactions with fellow Nigerians long time coz it always lead to regret but I just want to try this guy because of what he has been posting in this agric session. Okoroemeka redeem your image. Either you send another good seed or return his money. You are one of those I hope to do business with but this one is a red pointer. Be sincere in your business and earn people trust 2 Likes |

I think she should just stay in her lane and drop her political career in Lagos because that thing is too dirty in her state. Congratulations to the movie goddess! Funke started acting in the mid 90s . "I need to know" was a teen drama series. She features with Hausa girl called Hauwa and Igbo girl which I can't remember her name. Thanks for clarifying.
I understand your concerns about viability, especially as a family man.
Well, as a fellow family man, I've found that transparency helps a lot.
As long as everyone in family knows how much they can expect every month, it helps make planning and spending easier.
Just remember to ALWAYS live within your means, and I think you'll do well.
Take your time to prayerfully consider the other factors in the offer that are important to you.
Wishing you all the best as you make your decision Thanks for your response. I have taken the offer not just the money but health insurance and the pension involved |
