SSS ARRAIGNS KEVIN, KIDNAP KINGPIN IN COURT
Information reaching me has it that the man who gave the federal government 60 days ultimatum to grant him amnesty or he will embark on massive attacks on oil installation in the Niger Delta was today paraded in court. Kevin was arrested by operatives of the SSS in a Port Harcourt hotel in company of some girls. He was today arraigned at the magistrate court Zone 2 Abuja along with two other gang members. Kevin is said to have masterminded the kidnap of Human Right Activist, Mike Ozokheme and several other high profile victims.
No reason was given at to why he was arraigned in a Magistrate Court and not a High Court.

That's what I'm saying. There aren't many small Nigerian restaurants in the U.S. either. I don't blame our people to much sha, because here in Southern California, one has to pony up close to $10,000 to set up a decent restaurant, due to the taxes, utility bills and supplies.

i didnt know its that cheap to set up a restaurant in California. if you have the market and the managerial proficiency, i think $10,000 is a small amount to start a good business. but maybe its because am in Nigeria and not in the US, and such amount may appear small. But please get in touch with me, if u are serious and lets talk business.

abubaka101: RIM has been sold to investors, so expect a more revitalized Blackberry.
my guy am sorry but you seem totally out of touch with your much beloved phone maker. To start with, the company RIM changed its name to Blackberry on the 30th of October, 2013;
secondly, even though several firms have expressed interest in Blackberry, none has actually cystalised.
blackberry had to under right $1 billion to retailers, following the flop of its latest phones which failed to garner enough interest.
the most recently launched phones Z30 was dead on arrival;
finally, the expected launch of the BBM for android and IOS was suspended due to technical issues with the server, further dampening investors interest. the option being considered now is the breakdown of the firm into its various components.
Take heed bros, you've been schooled!

Politics / Revealed: Why G7 Govs Can’t Leave Pdp, Apc Rejects New Pdp Members’ Conditions by silica(m): 6:36pm On Oct 14, 2013
Fresh facts have emerged on why the New Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has chosen to stay back within the main PDP, despite the refusal of President Goodluck Jonathan to yield to any of their seven demands.

Credible insiders confirmed to Sunday Tribune that the G7 governors stayed back in the PDP when negotiations on their joining the opposition coalition became deadlocked, due to the conditions they presented.

It was gathered that few weeks ago, one of the G7 governors from the North-Western zone approached the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on behalf of his colleagues and submitted request of the Kawu Baraje-led faction to join the opposition so as to defeat the main PDP in 2015.

The leadership of APC was said to have welcomed the idea and went ahead to propose that the G7 meet the eleven governors of the APC. The meeting was held in Abuja and Nasarawa State, according to our source, but it was the last between the two groups.

The source confided in our reporter that: “The G7 governors’ main condition was that the APC structures in Rivers, Kwara, Niger, Sokoto, Kano, Adamawa and Jigawa be handed over to them, if they were to join the opposition. This was what they called the first condition upon which they would publicly declare for the APC.

“The APC team at the meeting rejected the condition as the APC itself is made up of three parties just trying to fuse together. They were told they can only join as ordinary members and without preconditions.”

It was learnt that many APC leaders, especially those from the North-West, kicked against the idea on the grounds that most members of the G7 from the zone are political rivals to leaders of the APC in their respective states.

According to our source, the APC in Sokoto, led by former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa, rejected any possibility of the party structure being handed over to Governor Aliyu Wamakko, his old rival in Sokoto politics.

The same situation was said to have played out in Kano State where former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau was said to have rejected such condition on the ground that the opposition in the state is well grounded even without Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Sunday Tribune was told that the national leadership of the APC also believed the G7, if admitted, might create another round of political rancor within the new party. According to an APC chief from Kano State, “we actually rejected the New PDP when they wanted to join us.

“They want to take over what they don’t know how we built. We in Kano said we don’t want Kwankwaso. Bafarawa people also said they don’t want Wamakko. Since the last talk, the G7 has not approached us again.
Politics / Gov. Akpabio Barred From Aso Rock Villa By President Goodluck Jonathan by silica(m): 6:43am On Oct 14, 2013
Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, the Akwa Ibom State governor may have been barred from the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, over what insiders refer to as his “poor comportment and misbehaviour” inside the seat of the Nigerian federal government.

During a recent visit to the Aso Rock Villa, the governor of the oil-rich state and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum was, during a recent visit to the Aso Rock Villa, said to have distributed large sums of dollars to security men and presidential aides who were on duty inside the Villa, which got to the ears of the President.

Governor Akpabio’s seemingly corrupt influences may have prompted the decision of President Goodluck Jonathan, to bar him from the villa.

Akpabio is said to be in the corrupt habit of sharing thousands of dollars to staff of the presidential villa during his visits.

So much so that staff of the villa always looks forward to his visit and sometimes, hang around the premises even when they would have completed their shift in anticipation of Akpabio’s dollar rain!

Akpabio recently paid another unscheduled visit to Aso Rock unaware of the President’s stance over his reckless behavior.

He was therefore expecting the usual red carpet reception from the staff, but to his shock was denied entry and had to turn back with his entourage in shame.

Acting on “orders from above” the security details refused to open the gate for him and asked him instead to go back to avoid further embarrassment.

It was rude shock when the governor attempted to speak with the Nigerian First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan over the issue.

The First Lady, in her characteristic bluntness told Akpabio who has made Abuja his second home to go back to Uyo and exercise his mandate of governing Akwa Ibom state instead of turning himself into a nuisance in Abuja.

Godswill Akpabio has lately acquired the reputation of an “unserious governor” who is always giving away hefty sums of state resources for flimsy reasons.

The governor’s sponsorship of singer Tuface Idibia’s marriage to Annie Macauley, an indigene of Akwa Ibom state in faraway Dubai also earned him the nickname of “Donatus”.

Akpabio’s gift of N50 million to Nollywood among several other donations, in the recent past, seems not to have gone down well with some indigenes of the state who are wallowing in poverty over unpaid salary.

Akpabio has also been accused by the residents of Uyo of abandoning Akwa Ibom state, a state he fought so hard to govern especially during his campaign for re-election for Abuja, where he is said to be operating from.

“Our Governor now lives in Abuja and does not seem to care about whatever happens here. He only parachutes in to commission projects or declare open seminars and workshops and thereafter goes back to Abuja”, said a senior party official who would not want his name in print.

Akpabio’s very frequent visits to the Presidential villa and his unruly behaviour were said to be giving President Goodluck Jonathan some serious concerns, and may have informed Jonathan’s decision to restrict his visit to the Villa. Akpabio, a PDP poster boy is for now at some crossroads over the turn of events.

5 Must Haves for BlackBerry Phone Owners in Preparation for Death of Canadian Phone Maker
By Vittorio Hernandez | October 13, 2013 7:02 PM EST
Whether BlackBerry officials admit it or not, the handwriting is on the wall for the Canadian phone maker which once ruled the mobile phone

Amid reports of almost $1 billion write off due to new models that nobody wants to buy, interested buyers of the company once called Research in Motion, announcement of lay offs by the thousands and poaching by Apple of soon-to-be unemployed BlackBerry staff, where does this leave owners of BlackBerry smartphones?

PC World's Tony Bradley describes the Waterloo, Ontario-based manufacturer as on life support and forecast that 12 months from now, there would be a huge RIP sign on the company.
For companies that rely on BlackBerry for mobile communication and productivity, don't drop yet your gadgets like hot potatoes, Mr Bradley advises.

He instead recommends five things that BlackBerry phone owners must do to prepare for the inevitable demise of the company, and soon, its services.

New mobile platform - To help assess what new platform and model to switch to (Android, iOS, Windows), pinpoint the BlackBerry features and benefits that are important to your business or personally then compare which among the 3 available OS comes closest to providing what BlackBerry can no longer provide soon.
Management of your mobile device - With the BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES), companies had direct control over their mobile ecosystem and tools to provide, protect and manage BlackBerry gadgets. All that, however, will soon end. Switching to iOS or Android could extend the familiar BES environment via the BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, which is not possible if you opt for a Windows phone. But it's only a short-term transition because you ultimately have to be weaned from the BlackBerry ecosystem and learn to embrace the alternatives.
BBM app to maintain security, reliability and familiarity of current system - BlackBerry is offering the app to ease the transition from BBM to iOS or Android, although the apps are still on hold due to a botched launch.
Data protection - Assess your chosen mobile platform choice to replace your BlackBerry, both on the device and during transfer across the airwaves. One lament of BlackBerry users soon to bury their device is that while the other smartphones could function as good or even better than BlackBerry, it could not match encryption and data security offered by the Canadian company.
Additional apps - Check the apps you use on your BlackBerry device and compare with what's available in your next option. Then search for proper alternative apps.
Expect more speculations as the technology world waits for what would happen to BlackBerry, the company. What company would buy the floundering tech firm would determine what's next for BlackBerry phone owners.

But don't count on your device being a collector's item since there are millions of Q10 and Z10 units sitting in BlackBerry warehouses and retail outlets waiting for someone to have pity and buy them.

This is when those champions of the innocent should. Speak up against the senseless killing of fellow Nigerians.
If they don't condemn this killing, then they are nothing but Boko haram sponsors and sympathisers.
Let the outpouring of condemnation begin.

I find this story rather hilarious.
Has NYA ever condemned the killings by the Boko Haram idiotas? No
Have they ever commended the efforts of the security agencies in tackling terrorism? No
There bunch of muntulas should run back to d cave.
I think what NYA should have called for is the sacking of spokes persons in Nigeria from Labaran Maku,
Frank MBA,
all commissioners of education,
PROs of all organizations.
All of us expressing our God given and Constitution guaranteed freedom of expression opinions should be sacked.
Must everything in Nigeria be about religion and ethnicity?
That's probably why we are where we are.
Get a life all of you

Romance / 12 Honest Reasons Why Some Women Are Still Single by silica(m): 4:31pm On Jun 11, 2013
12 Honest Reasons Why Some Women Are Still Single - Warning, Very Brutally Honest

by Afro legend

1. Cause You Act Like A B**CH!!! – Yeah I said it, and what! Now I’m not trying to use that term in a general and disrespectful way. I am using it in a very specific and factual way. You have so many women that walk around with this nasty, stuck up attitude and they have the nerve to wonder why they struggle with finding the right man. Some of them have the audacity to cover it up by proclaiming to be a “diva”, too “classy”, or that they are just speaking their mind. In reality you just act like a b**ch. Some people might say, well I see plenty of women like that married or in relationships. Don’t be fooled, she wasn’t completely showing that side in the beginning, why? Because she is a smart b**ch : ). Either way, being a negative person isn’t going to help you find love. Most of the men may still go after you for séx, but if you learn to fix that attitude then you will start to attract the right kind of man in your life.

2. You Blame Men For Everything – That is why your ass is still single. You refuse to make yourself accountable for your actions. Everything is a man’s fault, and according to you, once they “act right” then you will have no problem falling in line. First off, I agree that men have contributed so much to the issues in relationships and women in general. We as men do have a responsibility to step up and do better. The thing is, if you aren’t willing to “step up” as well, then we will continue to have an issue, and you will continue to find yourself by yourself. At the end of the day, you control how you handle things. If you are not prepared to look in the mirror then you will never realize the flaws you have and that need improvement. So next time you want to put it all on men, check yourself, and accept that you have a choice to do better and truly be one of the “good women” out there.

3. You Think Your Looks Will Carry You Through Life – Ok so you’re beautiful and have a nice body, great! Problem is, if a man talks to you and finds out that there is nothing else to you then why would he bother wanting to make you his woman. He will still want séx (séx is always an option for men) but that’s it. Men may be more superficial than women, but most of us still want a woman who has some kind of personality. Make yourself a more well-rounded fun individual and more men will want to make you their own.

4. You Are A Gold Digger – ok maybe you aren’t exactly on that level, but you have made how much he makes your top priority. You are so caught up in dollar signs that you overlook the things that are truly important to having and maintaining a relationship. Realize that most men are not rich, so right there you immediately make it harder for yourself to find the right guy. Even if a guy has money, if he sees that’s what you are mainly about he won’t take you seriously. I’m not saying date broke men, but I am saying that money should not be your main motivator. Have better priorities and you will find yourself in better relationships.

5. You Don’t Keep Yourself Up – not that you have to get your nails and hair done every 2 weeks (though some of us do like that) but you can’t always look raggedy either. I mean damn, some of you ladies just put no real effort into how you look. Not everyone has the same style, but good hygiene and health should be a goal for all. Most of us want our woman to look good. As I stated earlier we men are a bit more superficial than women, so to grab and keep our attention you need to be mindful of how you present yourself. You know where you can improve your look, so get started on it if you want to increase your chances of going from being one of the single “good women” to one of the taken “good women”.

6. Your Séx Is Weak! – I personally believe it is best to wait but the reality is that most of us have or will engage in séx before we are married. As a woman if you chose to do that, then understand that your “skills” or lack thereof will impact a man’s willingness to make you his woman. Unfortunately a lot of women think they are good but really the experience was nothing to talk about. Women are quick to talk about a man’s performance while neglecting the fact that they could use a lot of improvement as well. It doesn’t take as much to please most men séxually, so be more open to ways you can improve if you choose to take that route.

7. You’ve been Hurt – many single women reading this remain single or in dead-end relationships because you have been hurt in your past. This hurt can be from a previous relationship, previous situation with a man, or séxual abuse. Some of the first six reasons I listed are just manifestations of that same hurt you are holding on to. You now operate with walls up to protect you, but it is those same walls that continue to block the blessings you deserve to receive. I understand how difficult it can be to move on from these things, but if you are ever to move in the right direction as well as into a new healthy relationship, you must begin with forgiveness. Start the process of letting the pain go and watch how things improve.

8. You keep entertaining the “wrong guy” – you know he isn’t the one for you yet you continue to entertain this man and his nonsense. He isn’t even giving you a full commitment but yet you are giving him all the benefits of a real relationship. How do you expect to ever find the “right guy” when you ALLOW yourself to continuously deal with the “wrong guy”? You want a relationship, but you let this (single or taken) man continue to take from you without having to fully give you what you desire in return. You can continue to sell yourself short, but do not complain or be surprised when you find yourself still single and more emotionally damaged than you were before.

9. Your too busy enjoying the “Single Life” – you’re just having too much fun living it up. Maybe you like to come and go as you please. Maybe you enjoy the free meals, outings, and for some, the bills that get paid from your “guy friends”. If those are your reasons, I get it, but just make sure that you aren’t using that as a front. Many women claim to love the “single life” but in a heartbeat they would trade it in for a genuine relationship. Yes, you should enjoy yourself while you’re single, but that does not mean you have to act like you enjoy being single. I hope you understand the difference. If your attitude or words say “I love being single” then understand that this will impact a man’s willingness to come at you with something more serious. Have fun, but be true to yourself and what you really desire.

10. You lack “positive energy”– this is different from #1 on the list “acting like a b**ch”. Some of you may not be negative or mean, but you still don’t give off any positive energy. If you were a light bulb, you would be a flickering light at best. Some of this is due to lack of self-esteem, unresolved issues that have sapped your strength, or just taking on too much to the point where you are beat down and worn out. Whatever the reason is, that inability to “shine bright” makes it hard for a man to be drawn to you. Whether we show it or not, we have enough issues as it is. So if you don’t seem like a source of enjoyment, or just come off as a big bag of issues. We won’t be so willing to be with you. We all have things we need to deal with, but make sure you exude some confidence and positive vibes to increase your chances of finding the right guy.

11. You haven’t met “that guy” – shout out to the ladies that don’t settle. Shout out to the ladies that understand that if he isn’t the right guy for you, then forcing a relationship is pointless. I applaud you and I hope more women would take that path. The reality is, just because you meet a “good guy” that doesn’t mean he is the “right guy”. Continue to be patient, but make sure that the reason you haven’t met him isn’t due to unfair requirements you have set. If “that guy” is defined by his job, car, income bracket, and things of that nature then good luck with that. Those things make finding him harder, and personally I think you should focus on finding a man you connect with. Without that connection, “that guy” will easily become “that ex” in due time.

12. You Are Waiting On GOD – there are many women who say they are just going to trust GOD and let him bring them a man. That is great, but there is a slight problem with that. Many of those same women take an approach of not doing anything to facilitate the process. They wait on GOD to deliver a man as if they are waiting on a shipment from FedEx. You still have to recognize what it is you are or are not doing correctly. If you choose to trust GOD to bring you a man, how about finding out what GOD needs you to do to get that man. Because if you are not the woman you need to be then you may find yourself waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Not because GOD can’t do his part, but because you haven’t truly tapped into doing your part.

Saatah Nubari: Nigerians need to shut up and be patient with Jonathan

I have tried to keep mute on happenings both past and present, and I have also tried to pretend that the ratio of intellectuals to credulous people in Nigeria is actually high. But seriously, let’s be realistic. Our ability to be stupid somehow outweighs our ability to be sensible. In a country where when the leaders speak fire, the average Nigerian speaks petrol, let’s just shut up! It might save the situation.

THE APC SHOULD SHUT UP!

Nigerians will always have something to say. The average Nigerian is an economist, political analyst, human right activist, saint, power generation expert, developmental guru and much more. We all happen to understand every single facet of life at the comfort of our bedrooms that I sometimes wonder why we can’t change our immediate surrounding with our so called “expertise”.

The APC will have 50% of my distributed “shut up” today. This political party always has something bad to say to Nigerians and the government. I’m yet to see a press release from this party that is rather positive. The APC always claim elections are rigged, but you wonder how they won the ruling PDP in some states. When they win an election, it is free and fair, if they lose an election, it was rigged. Apart from Lagos state, I have really not seen anything spectacular in the other APC led states. Let’s not forget that Lagos State was once the capital of this country and as such was quite developed before the APC came into power. In Edo state for example, the labour leader turned governor is still unable to stop workers from going on strike. One would have expected him to give in to their demands, but it just doesn’t work like that and he is realizing it now.

Known for criticizing the ruling PDP, this party actually has more PDP members than PDP itself. With their former flag bearers either being former PDP members or former PDP employees, you can’t help but wonder.

The APC should concentrate on their states, stay out of PDP affairs, advice the government when the need arises and make constructive statements. If they can’t do these, they should SHUT UP!

GENERAL BUHARI, SHUT UP! (With all due respect)

Compiling a list of inflammatory and unpatriotic statements from this former General within the last six years alone can cause a war. It is appalling that he does not show any remorse for the statements attributed to him. He recently likened the Boko Haram to the Niger delta militants. In as much as both groups should be condemned, there is nothing that can be used to compare both groups except for their use of sophisticated weapons. The Niger Delta militants were agitating for resource control (so they said) and at no time did they destroy mosques or kill innocent citizens. Buhari even went as far as saying that the government was killing and burning the houses of Boko Haram member while their counterparts in the South were enjoying amnesty. On the other hand, the Boko Haram sect has made it known publicly that its plan is to Islamise Nigeria and in the process has waged a religious war against Christians. Despite the fact that General Buhari has continued to show support for this group indirectly, the Federal Government has kept mute.

I think Buhari knows that arresting and prosecuting him for his statements and actions will heat up the polity hence the continuation of his show of shame.

It was only during Obasanjo’s tenure that winning elections was a do or die affair, so I thought , until Buhari decided to throw his hat in the ring. With his stance that the North “must” rule the country come 2015, I’ll advice the retired General to build his political campaign, and while doing so if he doesn’t have anything meaningful to say or contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria, he should SHUT UP!

THE SOUTH SHOULD SHUT UP!

The division in Nigeria is getting wider and wider by the day, across religious and ethnic lines. The South must also receive their fair share of “shut up” for heating the polity.

Asari Dokubo and Kuku have at one time or another made utterances that can start a war. With the statement that Goodluck Jonathan “must” be re-elected come 2015, to threatening war if Goodluck does not emerge as president in 2015. It’s really sad that as a country, we now elect public office holders based on their tribe and religion and not based on merit or vision.

Well, even if the South has only made a few of these silly utterances, I’ll still advice the likes of Asari Dokubo to try as much as possible to first of all write down their utterances and read it before letting other Nigerians hear it. If they find it difficult in doing so, they should just SHUT UP!

THE NORTH SHOULD SHUT UP!

Seriously, I don’t think the North should “shut up”, I think their mouths should be tied or maybe glued. From the ACF, AYF and NEF, the north has continued to show their un-patriotism and their vague belief that the office of the President is their birthright. It should be noted that the North were behind the push to grant amnesty to the members of Boko Haram.

The president in trying not to look bad and unsympathetic to their plight decided to grant the sect amnesty. Shockingly the sect said they should be the ones offering amnesty to the government and not the other way round. In the good spirit which the amnesty was declared, the president still went ahead to set up a committee to help in the amnesty process. The sect despite the efforts by the government went on a killing spree and even established “governments” in some parts of the North. With the continued destruction of lives and properties, the President saw it fit to declare a state of emergency in three Northern states.

The state of emergency declared was greeted with support from Nigerians. In the National Assembly, the opposition parties voted in favour of it even when General Buhari had told senators from his party not to vote for it. This to me was a little beacon of hope.

With the North’s claim of being marginalized, we have to call into question the number of years they have ruled Nigeria and of what benefit it has been. Even if it seems the North has no plan on ending their quest to regain their “birthright”, they will also be advised to either support the present administration or criticize constructively. In as much as I don’t expect them to do any of the afore mentioned, I expect them to SHUT UP! If they don’t have anything meaningful to say.

EVERYBODY SHUT UP!

Even if Houdini were a Nigerian, he wouldn’t have been able to perform the kind of magic that we Nigerians want. The average Nigerian wants to go to sleep and wake up with uninterrupted power supply, but that’s not possible. Very few people really understand that for Nigeria to be what we want it to be, it will take time.

All through the military regimes, Nigerians were screaming for civil and democratic rule. In 1999 everybody was happy, democracy has come. In 2003 moods changed, now we no longer wanted Obasanjo again, we wanted somebody else. Although he tried, we all know he could have done better. Now we have Goodluck Jonathan but we are still not satisfied. We have called him a dictator, slow, fool, idiot and so much more but I sometimes wonder how he has managed not to reply the insults. Our current electricity generation is the highest since independence, our railways are beginning to function; our elections are getting to be really free and fair. I agree that somehow he has come short of our expectations but he still has about one year plus to go.

Before the president declared the state of emergency, Nigerians said that he was not working, that he should grant the Boko Haram sect amnesty. Immediately he granted them amnesty, there was an uproar that he should not have granted amnesty to terrorists that have destroyed houses and killed people. The next agitation was that he should declare a state of emergency, which he did. This time around, the Northerners said that the declaration was a sign of “war” on the North and kicked against it.

The President just recently proscribed Boko Haram and Ansaru and issued a ban on them, the North also came out saying they are against the decision.

The thing with us is that we all pretend to be saints. We always say the leaders are corrupt, but we fail to realize is that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The police officer takes bribe, the WAEC officer takes bribe, the University lecturer takes bribe, the student takes bribe, and the Nigerian abroad is pushing hard drugs and yet protesting that the president is a dictator. The leaders are laundering state funds while the civil servant is putting ghost workers on payroll. The parents are sponsoring youths into illegal refining business and giving their children money to go write JAMB exams.

The first step in solving our problem is not criticizing our leaders; it’s only a crook that will lead a crook. The first step is to accept that we have one way or the other contributed to the destruction of this country, and then the next step is to change and be good citizens. In as much as I don’t expect us to change so soon, I want us to exhibit patience as we pray for Goodluck Jonathan or better still, SHUT UP!

Owners Of Amigo Stores, Tahir Hotel Arrested
By: Abubakar Salihi on May 31, 2013 - 2:20am

inShare
The military Joint Task Force (JTF) has arrested a Lebanese co-owner of Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park in Abuja, Fauzi Fawaz, following his alleged implication in ownership of a large cache of weapons of different types and calibre.

A report also indicated that a Lebanese owner of Tahir Palace Hotel in Kano, Tahir Fadallah, had also been arrested over his alleged involvement in the import of weapons.

But as at press time, there was a conflicting report on whether or not Fadallah had been arrested.

According to a military source, one of the suspects had been linked to a serving governor in one of the north–west states.

The weapons were uncovered at an underground bunker at No. 3 Gaya Road, off Bompai Road in Kano, after a combined team of the JTF involving soldiers from 3 Brigade in Kano and Kano DSS conducted a thorough search of the bunker.

Another Lebanese, Talal Roda, with a Nigerian passport, was said to have been arrested at the underground bunker by the military operatives.

The weapons recovered include anti-tank weapons, rocket-propelled guns, anti-tank/anti-personnel mines and other dangerous weapons. All the arms and ammunition recovered were properly concealed with several layers of concrete and placed in coolers, drums and bags neatly wrapped.

The discovery of the weapons also confirms the existence of Hezbollah terrorist cells in Nigeria.

The owner of Amigo Supermarket was arrested on May 16, 2013, and he was said to have implicated the owner of Tahir Palace Hotel.

Kano State director of the State Security Service, Mr Bassey Etang, also revealed that the owner of the weapons discovered has Hezbollah links.

All those arrested have confessed to have undergone Hezbullah terrorism training and further implicated one Fauzi Fawaz, also a co-owner of Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park.

The arms and ammunition were targeted at facilities of Israeli and Western interest in Nigeria. However, the security agencies are making frantic efforts to unveil the true situation.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the house where the weapons were uncovered was less than 500 meters away from the Kano State police headquarters, Bompai, and Immigration and Customs headquarters.

While conducting journalists round the house, the state SSS director, Bassey Etang, described the discovery as a huge success. He said the owner of the house, who is still at large, could be a dangerous terrorist with the ill-intention to attack Nigeria’s interest in disguise of attacking Israeli or foreign interests.

LEADERSHIP witnessed the deceitful way the man at large stockpiled the weaponry inside a hole about 12 feet deep in his master bedroom. It was observed that some cupboards attached to the wall in some parts of the house contained a stock of guns and armoury.

LEADERSHIP saw ammunition, dynamites used to make explosives and containers used in stocking the ammunition. AK 47 rifles were in large quantity and there were weapons that were not usually seen in the hands of even insurgents or armed robbers.

Meanwhile, the brigade commander, 3rd Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig-Gen IIyasu Abba, has described the cache of weapons as equal to weapons of mass destructions, considering their quantities and nature.

The 3rd Brigade commander added that the investigation that led to the discovery started in Abuja by the SSS and it was as a result of an arrest of a suspect.

Abba said among the weapons discovered during the operation on Tuesday were 17 AK 47 rifles, 44 magazines, four land mines and 12 RPG bombs, 14 RPG charger, 11 66 mm anti-tanks weapons, one SMG magazine, one pistol and magazine.

Also, 11, 433 rounds of 7.26 mm special, 76 hand grenade, rocket-propelled guns, 122-calibre artillery and anti-mines weapons were recovered.

“What you are seeing here are weapons of mass destruction in terms of our situation here right now in Nigeria. If these things had been brought out, only God knows the type of destruction they would cause to innocent persons in the state or in the country,’’ he said.

He said the Department of State Security Service (SSS) in Abuja had been investigating the case for a long time.

State director of the SSS Mr Ettang said that the three suspects had a link to the Hezbollah group in Lebanon.

According to him, the suspects have for a long time been using the bunker in the house to stockpile arms and ammunition.

He restated the commitment of the SSS and other security agencies to continue with the ongoing war on criminals nationwide.

How Abdullahi Tahini was arrested at Kano airport

On hearing the news of arms discovery, Abdullahi Tahini, a close accomplice of Tahir Fadallah, made a call to one Ibrahim Musty, who is a manager of one of Fadallah’s cafe and ice cream joint.

Tahini also promised Musty $20, 000 if he could arrange his safe trip out of the country through the afternoon Egypt Air scheduled for Cairo.

Musty agreed and promised to ensure Tahini’s safe trip out of the country but, unknown to Tahini, Musty himself had been under surveillance and had been in contact with the men of the JTF in the state.

Tahini refused to tell Musty his whereabouts until he had assured him of his tickets and travel details. He then asked Musty to meet him at the BQ of a travel agency along Airport Road in Kano.

Musty met him there and drove Tahini straight to the JTF men who were waiting at the airport.

A reliable source told LEADERSHIP that the Ukrainian cargo plane full of arms that was impounded in Kano in 2009 had a strong link with Tahir Fadallah.

The Lebanese kingpin used his connection to wriggle out of the mess then but has been on the watchful eye of the security service ever since.

Security operatives attached to the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) had on the early morning of July 17, 2009, impounded a Ukrainian cargo plane loaded with a range of sophisticated weapons.

The cargo plane with registration number UR-CAK and a crew of four made a technical landing in Kano at about 2am on that day.

Security sources at the airport said that the circumstances of the landing made curious security operatives on duty to undertake a full search of the cargo plane and its contents.

It was further gathered that, in the course of the search, the security operatives discovered and assorted sophisticated arms and ammunition in several quantities.

Consequently, all four crew members were arrested and taken out of public glare, ostensibly for questioning. A Nigerian, Ibrahim Musty (he was not manager then), the same manager of Fadallah’s ice cream shop, claimed to be a clearing agent was seen making frantic moves to secure the release of the cargo plane. He was also taken into custody then.

BREAKING: PDP names committee to probe Amaechi; Rivers describes suspension as a witch-hunt
By Wale Odunsi on May 27, 2013

Following the suspension of Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the party has named an 11-man committee to investigate the allegations leveled against him.

The committee is headed by a Joe Gadzama, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The party earlier on Monday announced Amaechi suspension after an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government has cried foul, saying the suspension of Mr. Amaechi, from the Peoples Democratic Party is a “witch-hunt’.

Commissioner of Information, Ibim Semenitari, in a statement said the party’s decision is unfortunate.

According to her, “We are concerned as we believe this is political witch hunt,” she said, adding that “it is worrisome, because the reason given is the suspension of the Obio Akpor council”.

“The reason given by the NWC for the suspension is not justifiable because it is purely a legislative matter and done in accordance to the laws of local government councils in Rivers State,” she said

Politics / Obama To Bypass Kenya During Long-delayed Africa Trip by silica(m): 5:49pm On May 23, 2013
OBAMA TO BYPASS KENYA DURING LONG-DELAYED AFRICA TRIP

May 21 (GIN) – Pres. Barack Obama embarks on a major presidential tour of Africa in June but his itinerary will circumvent Kenya, his ancestral homeland.

Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania will each receive the President and his wife Michelle. Kenya was scratched from the group, according to one news report, since being seen with the newly-elected president, Uhuru Kenyatta, who still faces charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court, would certainly spark a new crisis for the beleaguered president.

Obama’s first trip to South Africa since he became president raises the prospect of a reunion with Nelson Mandela ahead of his 95th birthday in July. But Mandela's health now appears so frail that any photo op will require delicate handling.

The presidential trip, from June 26 to July 3, comes late for many Africans who had hoped that the son of a Kenyan would give priority to the continent. After more than four years in power, he has spent less than 24 hours in sub-Saharan Africa – a solitary visit to Ghana in 2009.

Former Chinese president Hu Jintao, by contrast, has made five trips to Africa as head of state, while his successor Xi Jinping sped to three resource-rich African countries just a month after taking over. The Asian giant has exercised soft power through building schools and hospitals.

China has quickly overtaken the U.S. with an infrastructure-for-minerals approach that wins friends and influences people. Some governments have welcomed a lack of "preaching" on human rights, pointing out that America's own record is checkered.

Last year, the White House last year put out a tepid Strategy Toward Sub-Saharan Africa with vague objectives: to strengthen democratic institutions; spur economic growth, trade, and investment; advance peace and security; and promote opportunity and development.

Elsewhere, however, a new mantra of "Africa rising," can be heard at investment conferences, thinktanks and in media commentaries.

"He's totally neglecting Africa," said Koffi Kouakou, a Johannesburg-based political commentator in a press interview. "There's not enough time to catch up. It's a strategic neglect that is going to be costing America big time.

"Our expectations were too high. His visit now won't have the same degree of reverberation as when he first became president." w/pix of child waiting for Obama

Politics / RESPONSE! : RE - Buhari Ask Jonathan To Resign Over Insecurity-news. by silica(m): 12:59pm On May 23, 2013
R-E-S-P-O-N-S-E!
RE: Buhari ask Jonathan to resign over insecurity-News.
Chief John Okiyi Kalu responds to General Muhammadu Buhari.

Only those who don't know Buhari will be bothered. That guy has near zero tolerance for democratic practices and systems. He only sees democracy as a possible route to power that he covets more than anything else.

Nigerians should thank God the man is no longer in the military. Otherwise...."fellow countrymen following the insurgency in the north and the inability of President Jonathan to contain it with military dispatch and impunity, we have decided to save the country blah blah". Those with myopia will clap!

Fact 1. Buhari's military and Shagari's civilian regimes killed over 5000 Islamic insurgents known then as Maitatsine. Under Buhari's watch the Maitatsines decimated by Shagari resurrected again and held the country to ransom for months. Their leader was killed exactly same way Yaradua killed Yusuf of Boko Haram.

2. Fact number 2: Buhari's Katisina has always been a breeding ground for islamic extremists and as recently as last week 10 Boko Haram fighters were killed in Buhari's hometown Daura.

3. Buhari was once quoted (he said misquoted) as having asked Muslims to only vote muslims and not accept leadership of unbelievers in Nigeria. It took more than 8 years for Buhari to clarify that report. And that's because it was used against him during an election round. Can you guess why he never bothered with clarification for so long? Before you make the guess, think about Mallam Shekau of Boko Haram saying that Jonathan must convert or resign.

If you misquote me on an issue that aligns with my private view, I just won't bother clarifying in a hurry and risk mixed messages to my fellowers that I have already mobilized.

4. Is a military head of state removed from office without a shot being fired actually strong with security? At least bullets were fired to remove Shagari but guns were threatened, not even brought out and Buhari went back to Daura to pray and mobilize Almajirins.

When did he become a security expert please?

5. Why is Buhari scared of condemning Boko Haram and using strong language like "dogs and baboons" to describe them? Does he not see them as dogs and baboons whose blood should be shed for Nigeria to have peace?

6. Doesn't this quote expose Buhari's mindset?
“When the Niger Delta militants started their activities in the South-South, they were invited by the late President Umaru Yar’adua. An aircraft was sent to them and their leaders met with the late President in Aso Rock and discussed issues. They were given money and a training scheme was introduced for their members. But when the Boko Haram emerged in the north members of the sect were killed,”

Please why did Buhari kill over 3000 Maitatsine sect members instead of sending aircrafts to them and/or arranging money/training for them?

Could it be a sign of metamorphosis from National leader to a sectional Islamist leader? Or was he always that way and IBB was right when he overthrew him and alleged religious intolerance in high places during Buhari's regime?

By the way, didn't Yaradua attack the militants before sending "aircrafts" to them? Did Buhari complain when Camp 5, Escravos, Warri, Odi, Okochiri etc were leveled by Yar'adua?

7. “In Bama and Baga towns, military personnel were reported to have been engaged in extortion and sometimes Molesting of women.
And because a soldier was killed in Baga the whole town was sacked by military. This is not the best way military should have acted when they were sent to restore law and order in a town. How can a responsible government allow its people to be killed in this way,”

Really, did Buhari say this? Can he explain how over 5000 Maitasine fighers and civilians were killed in 1984?

8. “Whoever is sent to protect people should also protect their integrity."

Is this line not an attempt to divide the military and cause blue on blue actions?

9. "And even during civil war we that fought in the war were given a copy of code of conduct bookwhich guided us against killing innocent people"

Really General Buhari? How do you explain the death of over 3m civilians during the war including those massacred after the war?

General sir, what happened at Asaba, Benin and Calabar between 1969 and 70? Were those massacred in cold blood dogs and baboons? Haba Mallam!

Let me just say that our President have "spoken", the national assembly "sparked" and the people are speaking. We are watching the unfolding drama including the Daura Boko Haram conflict with the military. A little explanation on how those terrorists were incubated in Daura will be welcomed.
But by and large, while we don't know who will be Nigeria's President in 2015 we know who will NEVER be Nigeria's President. He also knows himself and is welcome to carve out a niche for himself among terrorists." - by John Okiyi Kalu,

This morning the electrician turned on the Ac and the battery light showed again. but when he reved the engine hard, the light disappeared but the auxiliary belt started smoking and eventually broke. so Mr. Ikenna, you seem to be on point. we are trying to change the rollers and see how it goes.
please stay with me on this thread as i will be needing your help this this problem is finally over. in the meantime, i am proud on you all. thank you so much for your assistance so far.
