Dbrainiac1:

There's no need, cos dental students offer all courses as medical students alongside dental courses throughout medical school. The only course dental students don't offer is Obstetrics and gynaecology. If not they do Medicine, surgery, paediatrics, ophthalmology, pharmacology, Anaesthesia, Chemical Pathology, Community Medicine, Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT), Haematology, Microbiology, Obstetrics Paediatrics, histopathology, Pharmacology and Radiology plus dental courses(which medical students do not offer). So there's no way you will come back as dental surgeon and study JUST obs and gynaecology for TWO years, just to get an MBBS. There's no such thing as coming back for two years. NB. MEDICAL AND DENTAL STUDENTS GO TOGETHER THROUGHOUT THEIR COURSE OF STUDY
BOSS ITS FOR 18 MONTHS

I doubt oooo.
.
.
Its not related to medicine na.
.
Is it B.sc?
.
I also believe that it requires B.sc at least in related discipline.

Why dont u write Jamb next year as an undergraduate?

DrAdeolu. Almost everyone here is telling you to abandon Microbiology and go for MBBS.

I hope the plan is not to throw away a bird in hand because of a much more bigger bird in View?

If I was in your shoes, I would face my studies, Graduate, before applying for MBBS through Direct entry.

Think about it. You did not get MBBS when you had more than enough time at home to study for Jamb and Putme.
Is it now that you're an undergraduate, struggling to maintain a good CgpA and Reading for Jamb at the same time?

N.B Am not belittling your academic abilities. Just pointing out some things I think you should put into consideration.

DrAdeola, I concore with dis guy. 4yrs is just like four days, then u serve, become a graduate, age wud still b on ur side. Imagine u get d medicine next yr, it also means u wud hv been 300l MCB. U see? Time flies.

B. Pharm
Or Doctor of Pharmacy.
.
.
You should be factful before quoting me again pls.
Mis-informing others won't be wise

A'level cert is also welcome.

Bros. The minimum requirement for D.E into Medicine is a B.sc, meaning B.Ed, B.Tech, N.D, H.N.D etc cannot go for D.E medicine.
.
.
Here are some of the prominent course that goes for D.E medicine.
.
Biochemistry
Microbiology
Anatomy
Physiology
Chemistry
Biology
Med. Lab
Optometry
Med. Rehab
Zoology
Vet. Med.
Dentistry(a special kind though, 2yrs)
Human Nutrition
Nursing
Optometry
Pharmacy
Radiography

I cried and wept as it struggles to let loose, blood dripping everywhere as it screams.
I really felt the pain it went through as I watch it shovering to and fro.

Nairaland / General / Let's Play A Game Titled, "silly Answer For A silly Question". by simba1: 7:36pm On Oct 11, 2015
C'MON! ITS SUNDAY, LET'S HAVE FUN!!!
.
TODAY'S GAME IS TITLED, "Stupid answer for a stupid question".
.
You'd answer the stupid question first, before posting your stupid question.
.
Example:
David: Is Buhari the President of Nigeria?
Cynthia: No! Buhari is my house-help.
.
Let's commence, I go first.
.
IS NIGERIA A COUNTRY??
Education / Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by simba1: 5:07pm On Oct 11, 2015
My humble advise to everybody aspiring fot medicine.
.
.
IN AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE MEDICINE SO MUCH, YOU ALSO NEED TO CHECK IF MEDICINE IS YOUR CALL, MANY OF MED. ASPIRANTS HAVE WASTED THEIR YEARS SEEKING FOR SOMEONE'S CAREER, AS GOD FOR YOURS.
.
HERE IS A TIP, YOUR CALLING CAN NEVER BE A STRESS TO YOU, YOU CAN'T BE STRUGGLING WITH YOUR CALL.
.
ANOTHER THING, IF YOU HAVE TRIED MEDICINE UP TO 3TIMES NO SUCCESS OR MUST HAVE GOTTEN A LOWER COURSE, SAY BSC, WHY DON'T YOU ACCEPT IT, GRADUATE WITH IT AND GO FOR D.E, YOU WON'T JUST KNOW HOW THE YEARS RUNS.
.
EXAMPLE, I KNOW OF A DUDE WHO HAS SPENT ABOUT 6YRS SEEKING MEDICINE, HE HAD OFTEN TIMES GOTTEN RELATED, BUT REFUSED IT.
.
IF HE HAD ACCEPTED, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GRADUATED BY NOW, AND A D.E ASPIRANT.
.
.
PLEASE WE KNOW YOU LOVE THE COURSE, BUT THE QUOTA IS SLIM WHEN COMPARED TO THE ASPIRANTS.
.
.
LEARNING NEVER STOPS, TIME IS NO LONGER AWAITING YOU.
.
.
SOME PEOPLE MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO BEAT THEIR COMPETITORS VIA JAMB, BUT THEY MAY BECOME THE BEST DOCTORS LATTER IN LIFE.
.
YOU JUST HAVE TO APPLY COMMON WISDOM.
.
.
HAVE YOU PICTURED, DOING ANATOMY FOR FOUR YEARS THEN GO FOR UR NYSC, THEN D.E TO 200L MEDIICNE? AT LEAST YOU ARE DONE WITH NYSC, AND A GRADUATE.
.
EXAMPLE, Ola is 16yrs old, he gained admission to study Human Physiology for four years, he graduates at 20yrs, Nysc @21yrs, Medicine 200l @22yrs, finished medicine @27yrs.
.
You see?? Even @27, he has two degrees.
.
Whereas many peeps @27 are even still seeking admission to Medicine.
.
.
Please understand me. Thanks!

1. Th e-portal has been activated, so from all indications, the acceptance fee is to start from next week Monday.
.
2. The fees can only be paid in Banks inside school, if you can't come down to Awka, you can look for someon @Awka to do it for you.
.
3. Yes, you'd have to apply, and its first come, first serve.
