"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." - Albert Einstein. That's what differentiates the mere scholar from the creative scholar. Which do you choose to be? "Never let your work drive you. Master it and keep it in complete control." - Booker T. Washington. Many students fail in this. Know your limits and maximize your opportunities. Don't read to your hurt. "What separates those who achieve from those who do not is in direct proportion to one's ability to ask for help." - Donald Keough. If you're not informed, you'll be deformed. Shrug off every form of timidity and shyness, they'll only leave you with regrets in the future. "If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place." - Nora Roberts. It's like expecting an answer when no question was asked. Is that possible? I guess your answer is as good as mine. Hello guys and gals. How are y'all? I hope y'all had a splendid day. I sight you @ lyrically and timmytimmy. How things na? |

Miracy: Chai...! Post of the president? You wanna start a feministic revolution ni yen... But... I agree... It's possible. You'll just need to create a very convincing awareness as to why a female could take-up the role of president. But you have to start beating the guys to the post early... You need to start from your faculty... Wow... This conversation is really getting interesting. I love people who love to break-through barriers, think out of the box and aim higher than deemed possible. Its kind of my style I'm not a law student(i presumed that's what you meant earlier but just had to confirm), I'm a Mechanical Engineering student. I'd like to continue this conversation elsewhere. Add me up on Whatsapp - 08132210524. Reply if you concur... |

Eunixa: Simply take a bike and tell the rider you are going to Computer centre... If not, make your way to the senate building(you should know where this is) along the main coming from the halls. Continue down the road past the faculties of health(on your right) and biological sciences(on your left). You'd get to the faculty of pharmacy. The computer centre(or lab) is opposite fac. of pharmacy. Note: Ensure that you don't get to the school of postgraduate studies. It's beyond fac. of pharmacy and comp. centre. Safe journey! |

Miracy: Yeah, I'm hoping for such too... So, I should be expecting "Miracy for Vice President" in a few years time or you don't plan on going that far? Besides, what's LLB? |

Miracy: Well, the headaches are still there but I'll be alright soon... It's one of those things I get when I don't have enough sleep for a while. That's why I never wanted to stay @ home this long... I'm usually so busy, all day long, that my only free time is in the night...but I have to prepare for next semester. I heard about and saw how it will be... Seeing mass failures in core-courses made me alert as to what I had to do to escape such backlash. You could achieve that goal of being a block rep, that's if you play you cards well. Tell me, are you interested in school politics? |

Miracy: Church was great, though i had to leave early. I had serious headaches. I'd like to stay on-campus(plan A) and i'm sorting it out: balloting and stuffs (you know what i mean). I still chose off-campus as my plan B... I prefer to squat(if it gets to that) off-campus than on-campus... I know what those squatters in my room faced, and its unnecessary hustling for me. Let's just say I have two options which i'm pursuing but i prefer plan A to B. How about you... What are your plans and preferences? |

Miracy: Same here... Thursday on my mind but Friday is my plan B(just in case all doesn't go as planned). I have some unfinished businesses in school. Accommodation issues being one of them: 'Omole' no try at all ooo. BTW, Happy Sunday! |

Miracy: I'm doing great... Trying to 'muscle-up' through enough eating... What more can I do? I too cannot come and go and die na... As in, that our last exam period almost drained me. I remembered the look on my friends and family faces when i arrived at home... They were like..."Them dey punish una for that school?" Lol... But I no fit stay for house for long ooo... With this postponement of resumption... When do you plan on resuming? |
Education / Re: The Obafemi Awolowo University Admission Thread For 2014/2015 Academic Session. by Solexy96(m): 5:24pm On May 09, 2015 |
Hello fellas, how y'all doing? Hope you are getting prepared for resumption. I can see that you've all been making good use of the thread for enquiries and likes. Information is vital for success(something that a few of us, stalites, missed and a few of you, freshers, still will). I commend my fellow colleagues who have been rendering every bit of help they could to ensure that y'all have a stress-free resumption... God bless them... I sight the lawyer(in the making), ex-miss nairaland and fellow colleague, miracy. How hibernation dey go for house na? |

Lordbinsmar: Ok. Yes, there may be two or three but its only lazy students that get intimidated by tough lecturers. I dont believe in pessimistic utterances that claim that one lecturer hindered one's success. No lecturer would mark a correct answer wrong without risking his status. Cos if a student is sure that he's been victimized by a lecturer, he can call-up his script for review. It's good that you're ready. Doing your best might not be up to the lecturer's expectation and that's what kills students. Take time to study the lecturer's pattern of reasoning in both class and assessments(tests and exams) and all should go on smoothly. That's why in moments of massive failure, some students still get A-s. Its not about how brilliant you are only, its about how smart. You can contact me on whatsapp: 08132210524. Goodluck! |
