Hello @somtorizm
Any update on your application?
I submitted on 26 June, I have got no update too and my program starts on 26 August.
What's the web link or email address for an urgent 48 hours response by IRCC? Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply. So since then no updates yet. But I did use two accounts statements for my visa application. UBA and FCMB. On the 30th of July I got a call from UBA for verification of statement. Then till then till this morning after submission of weekly webform. I also got a call from FCMB for the same verification of statement. Looks promising. Finger's cross. Goodnew is my school says there no deadline to differ. Thou school is starting 26august. But says it bad to start at mid term. Rather I should defer. Thou the next differ would be next fall 2025. I don't need that stress for now. So hopefully before the end of the month. I would know my grounds and decisions to make.

They also said I should differ early so I could get a space for the next program. But I believe all would work out.

A big thank you to everyone on here. My sister's visa just got approved on our second attempt. We submitted June 28th, sent webform a few times on Sunday, and PPR dropped today! We all did this together, once again, a big thank you to everyone!
P.S. The first refusal was due to lack of family ties and financial issues. This time around, we used our parents as family ties and as far as the financial part is concerned, we made a big mistake of using an ordinary investment slip as POF, GCMS note came back and it was noted that the investment certificate was given "less weight" because it wasn't from a commercial bank. We deposited a huge amount into her account, and supported it with some docs and the rest naa story...

Congratulations 🎉. A question for you. Was the tracker updating during the process. Like medical passed etc . Also was it the new portal you used

When did you submit your application on the new portal

I submitted since 10jun. No update yet. Only biometrics passed, medicals not passed. Background check still in progress. I mailed the IRCC last week with urgent. Then on Tuesday I got a call from my bank to inform me that IRCC asked for verification for the account statement. Which was nice of them. Since then no update IRCC . and school is resuming 26th August

Hello.

Has anyone submitted using the new portal that have gotten a decision for the last 3 months till now.?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by somtorizm: 11:14am On Jun 30
For people that there biometrics haven't been updated in the portal. My haven't been updated yet but I was able to verify my biometrics status via the application tracker. As completed ✅. Try signing up for the tracker then you can get updated version of your application

Also verify your biometrics number is now reflecting on your main portal.

Else try raising webform. No biometrics no further processing time frame

How much is your tuition fees. Have you made a deposit. Are you sponsoring your self or someone his.

You need to show detailed close ties back home.

You need to convince the visa officer why you're taking up the course your studying. Example you can't study English language and applying for visa for an IT course when you don't have any experience or detail explanation on moving forward with the career of change.

Please proof of funds Should be calculated based on the money you have after deduction of your whole school fees.. so please deduct your school fees from your money and see how much you have. Wishing you the best of lucky

If you had time you should request for a GMSC note.

Also you should have a least 80% funds available to you from your sponsor.

Hello please I need suggestions.

I got admitted to study Mobile application dev at University of Winnipeg. I have gotten my PAL, and I did made my first attempt for study permit on 1st May, did biometrics on 15may and rejection came on 28th May. Note I haven't done medicals.

. I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-
lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations
(IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing
your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.

My personal info
Am currently self -funding myself,
My school tuition fee is 22,450 CAD, and I have already made a deposit of 6900 CAD. I have also an accumulation of 29000 USD savings which was gotten through years of saving doing freelance works. This was attached with receipt and inflows of account. Thou I did deposited large sum recently which I explained as I did liquidate most of my stocks on bamboo. I also attached evidence and receipts to show that

My concern mostly was the course of study. I had a bachelor's degree in education and English studies. But with work of experience in mobile dev I got admitted which I was much excited about. In my rejection slip the VO didnt mention about my choice of study. Rather he mentioned. Home ties and insfuccient funds.

Things I did note was that currently am unemployed and work so come seasonal not frequently. So maybe was a red flag from the V.O and I didn't elaborated more on my family background.

So am currently trying to reapply next first week next month as my program is starting ending of August.

I have already requested for GMSC notes. But I heard it takes like a month to get it.

So am trying to use my eldest brother who's currently working for a company and has a good financial ground . My dad is late and mum is a retired Public servant. I have 3 siblings.
I also want to attach an employment slip from a company in Nigeria that would employ me on my return to Nigeria. I just don't know if there's anything am not getting right. Or should I just wait for my gms notes.

Someone said is also good thing to pay up all the tuition fees and have a co sponsor + 20,609 CAD and other expenses in your account
