Thank you

As I said, it depends on how fast the bank responds to the query of the embassy. Worrying will not change anything..... Just be hopeful. I will say take a deep breathe and relax... It will end in praise...
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Sosao(f): 7:01pm On Jul 25, 2019
My sponsor got his statement directly from the bank with the stamp and all
At this point I Don’t know what to think or do cos school resumes very soon and my status was last updated on the day of my interview
TheNoble007:

Embassy can never find out. The only thing they can do is to ask indirectly if the account and the amount is legit. They can only send this through mail. That's why on a legit bank statement, you will see the banks contact email. Even at this, the bank will never reveal the account balance at that moment to the embassy. The embassy itself has no right to demand that. The only answer the bank will give, is either a YES or NO.

Another thing again is that it is advisable to go to the bank and generate a bank statement directly from them. This generated statement will bear the stamp of bank, and where it is situated. Online generation of bank statement, are not easily approved and confirmed by the bank when embassy seeks to know the legitimacy of the statement. So this is why some legit statements are under AP for a long time. How fast your status changes from AP to approved, depends on how fast your bank responds to the query of the embassy.

All I can say is whatever the delay is we should just pray it gets resolved and our Ap turns to approved or issued ASAP

The only reason I asked is cos my sponsor doesn’t pick calls from numbers he doesn’t know
I am very very confident about of all lite information

You should realize that the US government takes every information you provide seriously. If you are honest, you have no reason to be concerned with routine confirmation of information you have provided in your visa application

I passed my documents

VO: Why are you going to Georgia State University
Me: I am going for my Masters in Mathematics with concentration in Biostatistics

VO: That is a strange combination; Mathematics and Biostatistics
Me: The Department at Georgia State University is the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

VO: Good, that makes sense, so you're a Statistician

Me: I applied to 6 other schools

Me: The program at University of Iowa is Masters in Statistics not Biostatistics

VO: Three colleges offer Statistics in University of Iowa
Me: ooh yes, I applied to the one in College of Arts and science (I said somewhere that I was rejected by University of Iowa but admitted in the remaining school)

VO: I actually graduated from University of Iowa but from the Statistics program offered by the College of Education
Me: oooh waoh, that is really nice, (smiling)

VO: I would be approving your Visa, the program at University of Iowa is actually nice, I wish you were going there, have a nice study in GSU, he said something about the visa pick up and resuming not earlier than 30days of the program start date
Me: I smiled, thank you sir and have a wonderful day grin grin grin

Ps: anytime he looked at me, I smiled cheesy grin grin

No document asked except passport and i20

Thanks for you input .
I will be grateful if you can be more detailed or can I on you?
Brown2Green:

Here's a quick one from me

How did you hear about the school?
Kindly add how you carried out personal research to validate your findings about the school .

Why MSU?
Those your responses are way too shallow. Not convincing at all. Not well thought and doesn't depict you have a career plan.

Why project management?
This is another way of asking how does project management help you in your career aspirations.
It is not an opportunity to talk about your JD. And remember most VOs are not in the mood to listen to long sermons. Place your best foot forward in all your responses because they can cut you short when the deal breaker is still inside your mouth.

What will this degree do for you?
Rephrase that to be succinct and more convincing.

May God's favour be with you.
