Good morning folks...airtel is seriously dealing with me.

A person who doesn't have a starting point can never begin anything.

A person who is ashamed of where he or she began from will never be happy no matter the level he or she attains...and will fall flat if he or she ever falls.

We are Africans.
We were colonized, the technology we use today were mostly fed to us by the whites.
They've also fed us more than our share of their ever changing ways of life.

In the west they spend a lot of money trying to preserve everything that reminds them of where they began from, they build museums to keep what reminds them of their traditions.
They keep old traditional materials and sometimes carry out traditional festivities.

But look at us.

Some people get irritated when they see people living in a mud house with a thatch roof, some can't stand staying in their villages for a week because there's no electricity, some get angry when they see people using traditional equipments.

Why?

Because they think they've passed that "level" therefore things like that should be abolished, discarded and never remembered.
"Class" and "Level" that's how so many of us think these days.
Forgetting that things can change anytime any day.

I love technology, education and modern things. They make life easy.

I know for a fact that most of th people who invented these things we use today are very simple and humble minded fellows who find motivation in simple things of life.

...be humble and rational, try looking at things from different perspectives.

If you're so afraid to be free, so afraid that someone will see you as being primitive, then surely you're not only primitive...you're also in bondage.

Most of us were born into families where expressions, emotions and feelings are not usually expressed at will or openly.

It's not abnormal, we're in Africa.

But you've grown up, you've been educated and enlightened, all thanks to God and those who made it possible.

Now that you know better, I'll advice that you show people who you care about how much you care about them, show people who you love how much you love them, tell them without fear.
Situations might change, something can take them away from you, taking away your opportunity to show them how you feel, and that will only leave you with regrets.

When I was a kid, my dad will drop me off at school, squat down to be the same hight with me and ruffle my hair, pat me on the back, and will hand me my snacks and say goodbye he'd stand there and watch me jog off and dissappear in the midst of other kids in the assembly ground. I never knew what he was doing until I grew up.

Also back then I knew two kids whose parents would hug and practically escort to the class. We teased them both to tears, calling them daddy's pet and stuff, but we were very ignorant of what was happening.

When you eventually get your own kids, it doesn't matter how they feel about it, hug them and tell them you love them, you must not be overly rich before you can do that...with time they 'll get to understand.
Not only your kids, but everyone you care about.
