ALL ABOUT CAS (CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE FOR STUDIES)

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF CAS?
CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
The CAS is an electronic record that the University produces for the Home Office and it is required for your student visa application. The University will produce a CAS for you and email you your CAS number and CAS statement, listing the information that has been sent to the UK Visas and Immigration Department. You will need this information to make your student visa application.

HOW DO I GET CAS?
CONTACT US:
For your study abroad processing, you can contact us on +234 907 967 5404 (Whatsapp)
Email: branding360.ng@gmail.com
Website: www.branding360.com.ng
Instagram: branding360careersandtravels
The CAS is not automatically issued. You must pay your non-refundable deposit first, upload your supporting documents, and then submit a CAS request via the platform provided y your institution up to six months before your course start date.

CAN CAS BE REJECTED?
The University may refuse to issue a CAS if it is considered likely that the student's visa application will be refused.

HOW LONG DOES CAS TAKE TO BE ISSUED?
Your CAS will be sent to you after you have accepted your offer and met all of the conditions, and no earlier than six months before the start of your course. Universities usually aim to send your CAS as soon as they can.

DO YOU REQUIRE A CAS FOR A TIER 4 VISA?
A new CAS is required every time you apply for a Tier 4 (General) Student visa. If your visa application is refused, do not use the same CAS again, as you will receive another refusal.

CAN I GET A CAS WITH A CONDITIONAL OFFER?
I want to start applying for a visa but only have a conditional offer. Can you issue a CAS before my offer becomes unconditional? No. Universities are prohibited from issuing these until your offer has become unconditional.

THE COST OF LIVING IN UK Depends on Where You Live

If, as a student, you decide to live in London, you will be paying much more than you would in other parts of the country. In 2020, London was ranked among the 10 most expensive cities to live in Europe. Of course, there are ways to get rid of some of the costs, but it will still be quite pricey.

For example, you can choose to live in northern England instead of renting a house in southern England which turns out to be more expensive than the first. In general, the costs vary greatly over the whole of the UK, which makes it difficult to set a cost of living in stone.

Just like in any other country in the world, even the UK has its most expensive parts of the country as well as its most affordable ones. So, wherever you go, just like in the UK, you will find significant differences in the living costs of different parts of the country.

As a single student living in the UK, the average weekly budget including rent should be approximately £240.89 ($317.92 USD). You can certainly live off of less/more than that depending on the flat you are renting, with an average of £12,000/$15,000 USD per year (excluding tuition fees).

StellaChiamaka:
COST OF LIVING IN THE UK

As a non-EU and non-EEA student in the UK, you have to possess the proper financial means required to cover your studies and stay in the UK. The amount of money required to have in your bank account varies according to your personal circumstances.

This amount of money is calculated taking into consideration several factors like the location of the university you’re willing to attend or the length of your course. For example, if your university is located in London you must have around £1,200 every month at the minimum. Overall, you must have at least £1,000 monthly for living expenses in the UK.

The time between your application’s submission and the university’s admission notice is an opportunity for you to tackle financial issues, but in order to be well in time for upcoming procedures, we suggest you start as early as possible. Lucky for you there is plenty of financial aid in the UK available for international students.
