Onlytruth: Someone gave a slightly different version 40 years ago: “I started the struggle in July (1967) with only 120 rifles to defend the entire territory of the Eastern region…I am proud, and my officers are proud, that here in the East we possess the biggest army in black Africa. I am no longer speaking as an under-dog; I am speaking from a position of power”. Well, we all know h'ow it ended for the great warriors . . . Sadly, they did not learn anything then. History, they say, repeats itself |

Onlytruth: You said the same thing in 1967. Look at how far it got you You no dey learn. You know get shame? Brain is mightier than cheap talk, remember. Be careful what you wish for . . . when we start, we wont stop until we reach 10 million. |

Bittyend and Desola, Chill guys. Lets face the real frenemies. |
![]() |
bittyend: Desola is right here. No sane Lagosian or Yoruba would align with Ibos. Better to negotiate with Hausa than Ibos. Nothing in life would ever make me sit at a table with an Ibo man/woman. I dont think the Hausas killed the Yoruba guy out of sheer hatred, they simply did what we ( Yoruba people ) do every day, corporal punishment. In this case, it went really really awry. This is jungle justice at his worst and we are only angry because of the ethnicity of the people who carried out the "crime." Hausas and Yorubas have a long history of peaceful coexistence and respect for each other, unlike the Ibos. These things happen everyday, and stories like this happen on every street, including ours, because most of us abhor anti social behaviors. But it’s the other kind of story we see more of that get us agitated — the story about the guy whose anti-social behaviour got him killed in the hands of the 'other people.' |

Beaf: Go back in time and see how we have dealt with them in Lagos. This is a one-off, and let me assure you, they will pay for it. We never forget and we never forgive. Every injustice must be avenged and this wont be an exception. We are a very thoughtful group of people. If we retaliate immediately, they will take the battle to the North where they have an army of r/etar/ded and jobless youth ready to unleash mayhem on every non-Hausa, including your folks. The only way to deal with them is to use State/Federal apparatus like the police and the RRS to wipe them off, and that is what is about to happen. No need for thoughtless gra gra. We will do it our way and we will do it THOUGHTFULLY. |

Kilode?!: Hopefully the derivation sharing or whatever they call it is applied retroactively in todays dollars plus interest and inflation factored in. Since I am a member of OPC from at this very moment I hope to get an invite to Asorock, my tuition from primary school paid for and a graduation/send forth/whatever it is called ceremony held in my honour. What is sauce for the MEND, is sauce for the BH and OPC. Better days are here, it seems. ![]() |

I fail to see any thing wrong with GEJ mingling or sitting next to Alams at a PDP function. This is not GEJ inviting Alams to his home or birthday. This is a party/PDP function and I doubt GEJ has power over the sitting arrangement. And whatz up with Barack Blagojevich comparison? Two different issues. As far as Nigeria is concerned, Alams is not a criminal, he was never convicted in a Nigerian court. Whatever issue he has is between him and the UK. Blagojevich on the other hand was caught, tried, and prosecuted by his people and a guilty verdict rendered by a jury of his peers. Alams didn't have that luxury and as such it would be ridiculous for any one to label him a criminal with the intent to ostracize him from his political base. |
