Phones / Do We Really Need 6GB Of RAM On Our Smartphones? by Sulaymanmeek(m): 2:16am On Mar 19, 2017 |
Alright, before we talk about how many Gigga-bytes we can put into a smartphone, let’s make sure everybody knows what that is – and how it fits in with other components.... ***Google RAM The more RAM a system has – whether that’s a PC for video editing, Programming or a smartphone; Gaming and Apps – has been proven to speed up performance. In practical application, this means more apps, and more complicated apps can reside in memory at the same time. When things reside in memory (rather than storage) they load faster, look better, and can do all sorts of whitchcraft-bang stuff. Today’s smartphones usually sport between 1GB and 3GB RAM – with two being the “sweet spot” where performance meets value. Flagships, like Tecno Phantom 6plus Surprised you, me and the world with Super Fast core and of course 4GB RAM – cramming four whopping gigs of RAM inside. Does it help, compared to phones with a “paltry” two gig? Sure it does. Is it worth the extra cash to get the additional gig? Probably not. I remembered correctly ''few years back'', me and my friends discussing the possibilities of having 3-4GB RAM in a Smartphone. Well i guess that was some ''few years back'' - Quick Questions Do today’s apps “need” six (or eight) GB RAM to power them? Where are the gamer? Of course not. Would I trade the 3GB in my Tecno Phantom 6 for 1GB? Nope. What that leaves us with is the same type of question we asked few years back: Is a 6GB smartphone simply overkill, or is it strategically helping to “future-proof” for the apps and OS of tomorrow? We certainly aren’t going to say that my Phantom 6's 3GB RAM ought to be enough for for everyday tasks until 2020” – but I'm curious to hear your thoughts! lalasticlala mynd44 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Nairaland / General / How To Choose The Best Android Phone For Gaming by Sulaymanmeek(m): 8:08am On Jan 13, 2017 |
Hey Gamers let's talk!! Android phone is now being used for different things – Gaming. No longer is it just being used for phone calls, data calls, etc. Now, the Android phone has become a complete entertainment device, and is used not just to watch movies and listen to music, but is also used to play games. However, one should take some aspects into consideration before they buy an Android phone for gaming purposes. Here are some of the tips that you should keep in mind while buying Best Android phone gaming. 1. SIZE The size of the screen will be the be all and end all reasons of whether you should buy a particular Android phone for gaming or not. There have been many phones that have tried to earlier tap the mobile gaming market, but they have not been able to do so, because their phones did not have the screen sizes and technology today. With Android phones coming with HD screens, AMOLED screens, Gorilla Glass screens, etc. it becomes evident that we are looking at very vibrant and powerful machines when we go through the choices of Android phones for gaming.... With a 1080 x 1920 pixels, 370 pixels per inch (PPI) Smartphone I'm sure you should have a perfect Gaming experience. 2. GPU Most high profile Android devices have special GPUs that not just help them play games in a better manner, but they also help them display graphics in a better manner. Once you have played a game on an Android phone that has a dedicated GPU, you will always feel that something is missing when you play on some other device. Therefore, check the GPU, and also check whether it is worth the price that you are playing. Mobile GPUs are just like desktop GPUs. The price does sometimes decide which GPU is the best, but sometimes you might get a GPU that might be really good, but is low priced and not popular because of bad or no PR. A simple Google Search should tell you what kind of devices have what kind of GPUs, and you should be able to make good decisions about which mobile phone to buy, especially when it comes to Android phones for gaming. I have a device that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow has a processing speed of 2.5GHz dual-core Cortex-A72, 2.0GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 & 1.4GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset,Mali-T800 GPU and of course a RAM of 4GB..... You should experience this Super App and Gaming execution Nobody need tell you. 3. Operating System With Android rolling out new and improved Operating systems, the later versions always seems to be missing out on updates that enhance better Gaming performance.... Marshmallow currently running on most Newly released Android smart phones today prove how easy it is to have better Gaming experience... - Of course Storage, Processor, and battery are important... But I wouldn't want to bore you too much with reading I love having and playing games on my Android device. Tell me what device you're using for your Gaming. Need any Gaming advice or tips Comment below. I'll be glad to help. |

Phones / The BEST Smartphone TV Advert!!! by Sulaymanmeek(m): 11:13am On Dec 19, 2016 |
Which Smartphone Advert Currently Showing On Tv/Internet Are You Impressed With? Tens to hundreds of adverts get shown on Tv, facebook, twitter every now and then. Some are just colourful but don't show the effectiveness and or true worth of the product being advertised. For some, there is no correlation between the advert and the product specification advertised while for some the concept of the advert will blow your mind but on trying the Smartphone you will be disappointed. We don't see most Smartphone Ads on TV these days tho, maybe not on local stations; Prolly only the Premium one's are being advertised. Although i have seen some Smartphone TV commercial Ads; Smartphone that truly works like Magic. Seen it in real life too! ''The TECNO Phantom 6 Plus, bring joy to your life'' Ad is the best i have seen so far! It says it all; the demonstration, delivery from speed to camera and design; for me they were exceptional VIDEO LINK>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcqO4mpw2dI This thread was created just for the sole purpose of you disclosing the Smartphone advert which you saw on Tv/Internet and you were impressed by the concept. Please don't debate just say the advert you fell in love with or without trying the Smartphone. Share your Video link. Lessgo!!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |
