If you believe anyone can loot 1trillion naira from a poor country like Nigeria, then you are a fool

The whole of Nigerian customs sef struggle to make 3 trillion

The whole of NASS senate + house of reps (107 + 360) budget ₦150billion per year Shuab would now get 1trillion as World Bank Abi?

Even almighty rich Lagos annual IGR through heavy tax is about 300billion .. where Shuab one see $2.5bn

.

I guess the unremitted $20billion (8 trillion naira+) that the former gov of CBN exposed was stolen from another country

Lmao. Would you like to get in a dogfight flying this against a fighter jet?

My thoughts exactly.

We are not at war with U.S. or Russia.
The purpose of this plane is to fight boko haram. Boko haram don't have fighter jets
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Newly Acquired Tucano A-29s In Pictures by superamoled: 8:12pm On May 28, 2020
People underestimate this fighter plane because it's a propeller plane not knowing that it's a lot more functional and sophisticated than it looks

Yes, I've played both. The last of us is great but has a slow pace

Exciting news. It is a great game but I wouldn't say it is unrivaled. If they could bring the uncharted series, I would choose that any day

Gaming / Re: PS 4 Vs Xbox One S by superamoled: 9:40pm On Apr 15, 2020
Just go for PS4. Most people use playstation in Nigeria and that gives you the chance to exchange game discs with your friends and you will get the opportunity to buy used games almost anywhere you may be located.

Xbox one has a cleaner user interface but you must connect to the internet to play some games and you might be required to download heavy files 20GB+ before you can even start some games on the Xbox

You can apply to canada for permanent residence under the express entry system: NOC 2271: Air pilots, flight engineers and flying instructors. It takes some effort and you will need to show proof of funds.

I will look into that. Thanks you

But you mentioned that you were sponsored was it an airline or someone with link to an airline? if it was then why were you not employed. if I was to sponsor you I would have made plans for a job for you after schooling that way my investment will not have been wasted

Was sponsored by a family member that didn't have connections with any airline or government. At the time, we didn't think it would be difficult securing a job in the aviation industry

It's never too late as long as you're healthy and can pass your medical exam

I am not mocking you bro. You and I know your chances of being a successful pilot and leaving the dream life is higher outside Nigeria. Anyway, I wish you goodluck.

Yes, securing a job abroad is much easier
Thanks for your insight

Write to your senator or governor. My cousin was lucky under GEJ era to benefit from such benevolence. I know it is frustrating but keep pushing. You can create a YouTube channel, discuss about aviation. Many Nigerian youth both old and young wish to be in your position. While you wait for a job, you can start a vlog from your home. Stay strong and keep pushing

Those are great ideas. I will do more research on those and hopefully something positive comes out of it.
Thank you

The last time I spoke to the CFI in ilorin, he said they are desperately in need of instructors

I've contacted the academy in the past and they told me they were not recruiting.

If you can link me up with the instructor in the academy that will be great. Learning from his experience on how he got hired there might give me better of chance of getting recruited too.

Most pilots have gone through this, sometimes you have to spend more money to be able to break the chain, would you be open to an instructors rating?Do you have a type rating?

I already have my instructors rating and have over 500 flight hours

I know spending more money can help to possibly secure a job but some of the ways I know will cost above $20,000 (₦7.2 mil) which I simply don't have

Stop complaining and travel out to a modern country. Let’s say Italy or Spain. They are seriously short on Human Resources in every sector right now.

It's easier said than done.

To be a pilot in other countries, you'll need to have work permit / permanent residency or be a citizen of that country to be able to work and secondly, you will have to convert your pilot license to that of that country which also costs a lot of money that I currently don't have...
Career / Re: How To Become A Commercial Pilot In Nigeria In Short Summary (Photos) by superamoled: 6:23pm On Apr 13, 2020
Securing a pilot job in Nigeria is near impossible and I'm saying this as a commercial licensed pilot in Nigeria without a job even after obtaining my certificate of flight instructing and spending millions of Naira (sponsored) on building flight hours.

It feels like it was not worth pursuing and spending all that money on a dream that will be crushed by this country.

Anyone with a pilot job connections should please link me up. Willing to fly any type of plane (type rating required or not)
