Hello. Am Afia. A Ghanaian Canadian of the Akan people, an Asanti to be precise. I love history and I have been so interested of late to know more about my ancestors and where they possibly cld have came from. I started with reading more about slavery and the Akan people people and I ended up here. And it's interesting to know about the akans in Ivory cost as well. Been going through most of the chats closely I just want to say that there is also nzema people in Ghana and am thinking their language will be similar to the nzema people in the Ivory cost so they wld be able to understand the nzema songs. Nzema is very far from Twi even though there are some words that may look familiar but at the end of the day they are very different.

Hi Afia smiley Nzema language in Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana is the same I believe...some Ivorian NZema still have Ghanaian relatives and vice versa, and they perfectly understand each other. I don't know if you ve listen Meiway's music before, many Ghanaians think he is from Ghana because of the language he speaks in his songs, but he is an Ivorian NZema. Concerning the Adowa dance, the Abron or Brong people of Bondoukou still do it...I believe the Agni as well but I aint sure. Here is a video for you, a Brong princess from CIV doing the Adwoa dance

Sysy, the exotic Ivorian Queen, I don't see folks from back in the day again, apart from Onila. I saw Sholly last year but I've not seen her this year. The rest have disappeared. grin I should be going ghost as well soon. The old squad that got me addicted to the forum has gone ghost. grin Time to fade to black, as soon as I'm bored of clowning people, which is what I do these days. grin

Anyway, read the long epistle I posted on this page to bennyrazz. I was just messing about. I'm still the vessel of Malcolm X and Steve Biko, though I've slowed down a bit. grin

Black power!

There u go!! grin That's my bebe right here <3 kiss cool

My point is what u r describing is not a typical black woman, but may be a woman who became insecure due to some circumstances...so if you think that more black girls these days are falling more and more in this category, try to understand why, and see if the issue could be fixed instead of making it worst by denigrating them, I don't think we deserve that. angry
also, i don't understand those guys who don't wanna date black or dark skin girls but get furious when they see them with white guys grin grin ....other guys do the same actually, but usually they don't run around like Hot rabbits to chase other women.

Lol. Look at who came to the party - sybella the exotic Ivorian queen lol. I've not seen on these sides for like two years now. How's Ohio, or have you moved to Canada now? Good to see you again...the old culture section squad when NL was fun and we used to discuss a lot of black/African history/culture.

Anyway, you know I don't do self-hate - this is more of self-preservation. I know you won't agree with me cos you're a black woman and you've to show solidarity to ya group. However, the truth is that these millennial black women are like the third wave of white feminists. The wave of white feminists that turned feminism into feminazi due to how problematic and aggressive they're. When you look at these women: they're obese, ugly, and most lesbian - and you would notice that they have self-esteem and insecurity issues. They used feminism as a vessel to project their anger due to rejection, self-hate, and insecurities on everyone. This is basically how most black women are today and a lot of them are just out to destroy black men cos they hate themselves. They bleach their skin. They hate their natural hair. And they're always unnecessarily aggressive/confrontation. And the only remedy is to run as far as you can, as a black man, so as not to become a victim.

Everything I talked about is evident on this thread and the stereotype is on display for everyone to see. The black man is tired and he's just trying to focus on the real battle, which is: White supremacy. Also, black women have also become the vessel for white supremacy in the black community and useful tools for the white man to keep the black man down.

Tired black man lol. Black men are on the move...

happy to hear from u again Shymy, I good, hope u too kiss...i see u r always bvsting Black W B** grin loool....i looked around a bit, a lot of the old folks are gone.... anyways I don't know if u r trollin (i think u r wink wink ) or if u being serious, but u r putting every black women in the same box, which is unfair. As a black women myself, my feminine entourage is mostly filled of young black women and they are far of what you are describing, how do you explain that? As much as many black women do not fit the stereotypes you provided, many white women do, however black guys (like yourself grin) choose to index only black women because they consider white girls as trophee assets. tongue I have never seen before guys from other races constantly denigrating their women the way black guys do as if they forgot they came from a black woman themselves....but remember oh, the likely child you will have with a white woman will never be considered white, and if it happens to be a girl, remember many black guys will think as you do, favoring white chicks, while many white and asian men would prefer to stick to their own... I am not saying that there are 100% chances she ends up alone, but with more black men opting more and more for other women than their own, they are chances that after a few deceptions, she ends-up insecure and bitter, and later fall in the category of what daddy call "a typical black woman".
