What I am instead telling you is that Jesus Christ did teach that once you are saved from Him from the condemnation of sin aka Death you can never again perish in the grave. You can however sentence yourself to eternity in hell instead.

1. Salvation is two-fold in Jesus Christ, each requiring active enlistment by your person.
■ Salvation from the condemnation of sin aka Death when one accepts Jesus Christ and is gifted with Eternal life - John 3 vs 16 - 21
■ Salvation that is onto eternal righteousness which is only obtained by those who stand faithful until the end - Matthew 10 vs 22 & Matthew 24 vs 12-13 & Mark 13 vs 13. This second salvation is only achieved by those who die in faithfulness

The first salvation is obtained when one walks in through one of the gates in the Kingdom of God (The broad gate or the Narrow Gate- Matthew 7 vs 13-14 & Luke 13 vs 22 - 30) at which point also receives eternal life from God by which of the eternal contract/covenant that is Jesus Christ. Given the eternal nature of the agreement and the fact that Jesus Christ made it clear that He has not come to condemn but to save, it is therefore impossible to move to annul one's membership in the agreement once born-again. Hence the reason why the once-saved save(from the Death) always saved idea makes sense. However, one also should bear in mind that all of those who will end up in the fires of hell at the end of the day are all also saved from Death i.e. born-again, so it behooves one to seek to obtain the second salvation after receiving the first.

2. Any life lived outside of continuous submission and obedience to the very teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ until the end — the life lived in faithfulness — does not count towards the second and penultimate salvation in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died to redeem the sinners of Israel from the Old Covenant sins — the world whose sins He came to take away — however, rescued from their debt to God's Old Law, they are then required to live their lives in submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of the New Law and agreement, Jesus Christ, in order not to default God again. And as Jesus Christ explained in His Law, it is those who continue in submission and obedience to the Law in the Kingdom of God — God's Truth — that are then set free by the Truth from slavery to sin, and transformed into Sons of God - John 8 vs 31 - 36. So it is indeed possible to live above sin in the Kingdom of God. One simply needs to continue in obedience to achieve that.

By the way, Sin is disobedience of God's direct commandment hence transgression of His Law. (God's Law, even Jesus Christ, is an all-or-nothing Law meaning if you disobey one commandment, you might as well have disobeyed them all.) So, in order to live a sin-free life, one simply has to continuously choose obedience in place of disobedience. That is how one eventually comes to know the Truth of God — God's teachings and commandments— and being set free from slavery to sin.

Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:13, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Having done everything you know to do before God, stand. Once you are serving Him, winning souls, following up on them, paying your tithes, giving your offerings, honouring Him with your first fruits and all else you know to do, according to His word, the only thing left is to stand. You are to wait on Him, asking “Lord, what else do you want me to do?”. The moment you get an answer, jump into action.

When those who wait on the Lord go to Him in prayers, they pray the way He would want them to: they pray His word back to Him. Since it is His word, He will answer it. They don’t pray only just when they feel like it; many times, they feel Him nudging them to pray even when they do not feel like. Those who wait on the Lord don’t seek their own pleasure in life; all they want is to please their Master. If God tells them, “I need all the money in your bank account for this project” they don’t hesitate; they drop the money immediately. They are always at His beck and call, willing and eager to do His bidding.

Now, when you have had a very good waiter attend to you at a restaurant, you are likely to drop a tip for the fellow. The tip that God gives you in return for waiting on Him, according to Isaiah 40:31, is that He will renew your strength. This means that sickness and even old age will not have power over you. He will become your doctor, taking care of you by Himself. Also, He will give you wings to fly like an eagle. In other words, you will be in a class of your own. Great men will call you great. You will excel so much in all you do that it will be difficult for anybody to beat your record. Commit to waiting on God from today, He rewards all those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
