9jvirgin: But Anambra presidential election was compromised too. Is that why there is kidnappings ? Where there kidnappings even before the elections? You are supporting kidnappings because elections were compromised. Has there been any time in Nigeria when elections were not compromised. Just pray that somebody really close to you does not get kidnapped. There is no reason under the sun to justify kidnappings. |

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Is The Leader That We Need For Nigeria Presently - Gbadebo Rhodes(vid) by Teenaira: 12:54pm On Mar 11 |
It is quite unfortunate that nobody is interested in the progress of Nigeria as a country. People are just interested in taking over power from the other group even though we all know that there is just a very thin line between each of the groups. Infact, the one planing to take over power is even worse than the group presently holding the power. Thieves go and sit down, Nigeria does not need any of you. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: 60% Of Metered Customers Bypass Meters, Says TCN by Teenaira: 7:29am On Mar 08 |
Stephench: It is another excuse not to meter customers. Is it space science to meter every customer without them paying for meter and spreading the cost of the meter on the customer say over a year. Or is it that the whole world can not produce meter to service only 200 million person's. The greatest yahoo scheme in this country is the allocated billings scheme which they prefer to call estimated billings. In Nigeria, if you travel out of the country for say six months, you will be allocated maximum possible bill within this period even without you using a single watt. Nigerian government should stop encouraging big organisations to fleece the poor. The only way to improve power supply in Nigeria is to ensure every electricity user has prepaid meter and this is the easiest thing any organisation can do if they want to. If truely, DISCO have issues with power theft, they should train and convert all their personnel whose job is to disconnect customers or collect bribe from them to become energy theft check personnel once everybody is on prepaid meter. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Appeal Court Strikes Out EFCC ’s Suit Against Orji Kalu's Retrial by Teenaira: 1:46pm On Mar 06 |
Racoon: I don't just understand. If you establish that somebody diverted or stole Abia state money, why should the money be forfeited to the Federal government and not Abia state. So Abia state is still the loser. When banks overcharge their customers, CBN will fine the banks and end of case. The customer is still the loser. When DISCOs overbill customers, NERC will fine them and the customer is still the loser. You can mention other similar instances. Why now ? 1 Like |
Politics / Re: LP: Appeal Court affirms Abure as National Chairman, orders Apapa to pay N1m by Teenaira: 1:09pm On Mar 06 |
Kennitrust: I don’t totally agree with you sir. No politician and I repeat, No politician in Nigeria as at today is worth fighting for when you look at their past including Mr Peter Obi except we want to continue to deceive ourselves. What we actually need is a strong opposition that will put who ever is the executive on their toes. Unfortunately, no Nigerian wants to be an opposition. They all want to be the executive because their main mission is to steal, but they deceive the followership with all manners of weapons they could use. That is why you see people dying because of politician who are actually their enemy. |

Business / Re: Invalidation Of $2.4bn Forward Contracts By The CBN: Manufacturers' Fate Unknown by Teenaira: 9:12am On Feb 24 |
SalamRushdie: I am totally in agreement with you but I will like to ask you a few questions that will guide our views. 1. How much is the external reserve figures at take off of Sanusi and Cardoso. 2. What is the average production volume of oil during Sanusi and Cardoso era. 3. What is the price of petrol during Sanusi and Cardoso 4. How much forward contracts ( Maturing debt and money already collected for sales yet to be made ) 5. What is our total debt portfolio local and foreign at take off of Sanusi and Cardoso 6. How much of your revenue goes for debt repayment during Sanusi and Cardoso 7. How much of your reserve do you use to import nonsense into the country during Sanusi and Cardoso but still expect Naira to grow in value 8. How much foreign exchange do you earn from Non oil export during Sanusi and Cardoso All these factors and others will determine the real exchange rate. If you like you can pad the exchange rate as much as your foreign reserve could go, when your reserve is zero, the true value of your currency will show for everyone to see. Remember Sanusi and Soludo are insider. They understand what the baselines are and they did not hide it from Nigerians. So, I don't understand what another magician would have done. This is purely an economic issue. |
Business / Re: Invalidation Of $2.4bn Forward Contracts By The CBN: Manufacturers' Fate Unknown by Teenaira: 10:19pm On Feb 23 |
SalamRushdie: Oga, why don't you just make your point and leave Yoruba out of it. Incase you don't know when the CBN says they are defending the Naira it only means the exchange rate known to the public is not the exchange rate. They are just giving you a rate you will like to see. We have bastard our foreign exchange system and it will take more than luck to restore sanity. If you are privileged to see a few of what is happening in the forex market you will weep for Nigeria. The challenge we have is pure economic so whether you put a Hausa or Igbo or Yoruba as your CBN governor he will face the same challenges. Today, the North will disown Sanusi because he will tell them the true position. The east will disown Soludo for same reason. We are all in Nigeria when Obaseki was shouting that they are printing Naira recklessly. He got into a big trouble for spilling the beans. Let's face the issues and forget about Yoruba or Hausa or Igbo. |

Judolisco: We don’t even need to know how much they collected. Let them reduce the tension in their respective states by spending just a little on their state and not convert everything to dollars for onward transfer to Dubai and other spending destinations.
