Anytime Freeze speaks, I remember how he was the class dullard in the University of Ibadan, Department of Sociology in the early 2000s where he finished with a 3rd class degree. Back then I was still in junior secondary school, but my elder brother was in the Department of Economics also in U.I.and he personally knew freeze. Freeze was better known for being an MC and a wack rapper who regularly performed at campus gigs. He was never reckoned with as someone who possessed any intellectual competence.
Ironically, today We all know Freeze, but who is your brother?

It's stupid to think ASUU is going on strike for the fun of it and for selfish reasons.

1. Federal government made an agreement with them in 2009 and has not fufilled it yet, yet you blame ASUU

2. They went on a warning strike few days to Independence day, the government did not but begged them to just halt it since Independence day is important and it wouldn't look cool for schools to be on strike.

3. The truth alot of Nigerians don't know is that there is money in Nigeria but alot of it is being stolen rather than put into good use to develop our education system.

4. Lecturers are underpaid compared to world standards and the resources we have. 300K/month for an average lecturer is rubbish but Nigerians are too mediocre, they think it's big.

By the way, why bother yourself about ASUU when you can study in America,

The OP isn't a teaching staff so I wouldn't blame him. In your intelligent write up you couldn't come up with a better alternative. Strike remains one of the greatest weapons to fight the stubborn and stone-hearted government in Nigeria. You speak from the student point of view which is a good thing but how about the lectures that teach in dirty classroom without fans and over-populated student, lecturers that that will almost loose their voice because of lack of micro-phone, Retired lecturers waiting for pension, delapitate laboratory and educational infrastructures, overloading lecturers with many responsibilities, teaching with crude tools and still marking more than 500 script with bare hands. see and even many unsaid ones.
Bro I understand your point but we shouldn't become insensitive also. The way out is to restructure the way school are been funded. either to privatize it which will mean common man will not go to university again or to increase yearly allocation of fund with proper management to ensure the fund is used properly.
Oga, universities run consultancy programmes, do post ume exams collecting monies for such. Are you seriously telling me the monies thus generated cannot buy microphones for lecture halls? Are TETFUND funds not mismanaged by universities?

I used to think they were being unfair to students, but guess what? Sentiments don't pay the bills.

The salary scale in Nigeria is one of the lowest in the world, whereas, there's so much money being looted.
These things will keep happening till we have a responsible government that cares about institutional progress rather than individual progress.

Even doctors and nurses are leaving Nigeria en mass.

Blame the thieving politicians, all of them APC, PDP are all filled with thieves.
Oga abeg stop that "blame the thieving politicians" talk. Are you seriously telling me the VCs are clean. TETFUND and NEEDS Assessment funds are mismanaged by management of universities, only a very naive person will pretend not to know that. Those VCs are disgusting swines. What about consultancy programmes run by the universities. Abeg...

Many people truly don't know the dynamics of wealth of men of God,they just take Delight in mindless bashing.

If someone decides to give me #10 million because I advised and helped him through a business start-up years ago (both financially and/or otherwise), y'all won't see that but when you see the fruit, everyone goes "pastors are fleecing people".

I'm not saying that there are not wolves in sheep clothing. There are. But to say ALL pastors are thieves...nah!
Shattap before leprosy strike you like Gehazi. Have you not read where it was said "freely you have received, freely give"? Did Jesus go receiving gifts for his miracles? Jesus lived a simple non-materialistic life, "foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head". Dynamics of wealth my foot!

No they don't, maybe in Dubai or in the western world, but definitely not in Nigeria, they just hire them to do small small contracts once in a while and when contract nor de, you go starve. Except your family is well connected, then, you can secure huge government contract and make it big.
And do you know what happens to a petroleum engineer that is not hired by an oil company? Where will they even get the small jobs? There are many structural engineers making it big in the construction industry as ordinary free lancers.

Advice for the teenagers, getting a job in Nigeria isn't easy, so don't let anyone deceive you with some bullshit talk like "" it doesn't matter what you study, as long as you are a graduate"". i am going to give it to you straight, study any of these courses to improve your chances of getting a job:

1). All engineering apart from Civil and Agric Engn.

2). Bus Admin and Economics

3). Medicine, nursing and pharmacy. Don't study law.

4). Computer science.

But finally, God above everything, if God says you will be successful in life, nothing can stop you, no matter the course you study. What I wrote up there is just my logical opinion. No offense to anyone.

And what is wrong with civil engineering? They have more opportunities than almost any other engineering field!

yes a demonic one yet you see the people supporting them pastors who have no love for the masses but their pocket. 90% naija pastors worship mammon not God.
Say one word against religion and you will see them sheep cursing all over the place like witches and wizards. You criticize churches of not building schools and hospitals to aid communities and you hear them say is the church government? The fools forgot their father's and grandfathers acquired education free courtesy of free mission schools that were built by Christians from abroad. Pastors take from poor congregation members to buy private jets and build mega churches. The painful thing is the church shames poor congregation members and tells them they are poor because they are sinful or they don't give enough. Wallahi sometimes I weep for Nigeria. In fact I am currently humming Fela's song "I sorry sorry o ".

Business To Business / Re: Ice Block Making Machine by TEYA: 12:30am On Nov 30, 2018
nuclearboy:
Each piece is approx 3.5 Liters. Thats almost the quantity that'll fill a paint can. But you can adjust the water you put in each wrapper. You can also ask an extruder to make a specific size of cellophane for you. You asked about ice in Ibadan - thats a way you can get fooled easily. Suppose I say I've today sold 411 at 60 apiece yet still have quite a lot? That could be true yet a lie. A lie because no two days are the same. Also, when it rains, demand (and price) falls. And in February, I'd readily hit a car stressing me on the way cos I can "bloody" well afford to fix his car and arse too.

Atimes, its poor and others, its good. Thats the truth. Also, who is your target market? resellers who'll finish your stock by 7AM but pay cheap (we reduce price for these since they resell)? Hotels/Bars/Clubs/Party-makers who will pay a premium but won't come daily and may ask you provide transportation to them? Or the local woman beside your "mallam" who sells pure water and soft drinks? A combination? What proportion of each? Does that proportion stay fixed or is it dynamic? As I said earlier people, theorists abound! I'm not one of them.

I'm a realist and a business person whos learnt that thugs fighting at a garage someplace in town can stop your clients from coming in. So can the rudeness of one of your employees cause some to keep away. Whist a "politicians" party can drop a 70K bonus in one day into your lap.

But in the dry season with 4 machines running 24 hours (2 loads each daily) in Lagos, you better have self discipline or you might decide to kill someone and pay for his life before you realise you cant buy humans no more. In retrospect though, fatigue may have taken away the will to drive cos this work hard small O. Its very physically tasking.

I know what I know but refuse to say one persons machines are better. You decide for yourself
Please may I know if you still produce ice block moulding machines. If you do I will like to know about different specifications and their respective prices please.
