Pretty good analysis there Lawyerchap. You write brilliantly and you are spot on with your analysis. I agree with every word. Keep them going.

Tonight's show, there was Timi and there was Timi, sorry I cannot remember anyone else after or before. He blew my mind, his voice, his stage presence, charisma, his emotional connection with the audience and the tv. Two weeks in a row he has delivered outstanding performances. Not only do I love his voice, but the way he delivers a song, it is spellbinding to watch. I jumped up and down screaming during his song. It was an experience.

I am still totally blown away by Timi's performance of Don't Let the Sun go down on me. It was world class an unbelievable performance. I have predicted him from his audition to be the winner. He only has one competitor in my opinion and that is Jodie. I am not so sure her voice is as great as her delivery of her song. I have always loved a voice like Timi, soulful, passionate and I do prefer male singers. While not doing so many vocal gymnatics as the girls do, a male voice cuts deeper into my soul.

For me last night there was Timi and then there were the rest. I thought his performance was world class. He blew me away.

My feelings on last nights show

Timi, not the best choice of song for his style, but did a great performance.
Jerrilyn, slightly better than last week, I don't like her baby style voice, it actually gets on my nerves, and she is one of the two weakest ones left
Eric, I also thought he sounded nasally, with some good moments thrown in. I find him a little too smooth and not genuine in his performances. I also do not see the good looks everyone is talking about. He has a bad smile or his teeth are not great.
Uche, erratic performance, some good moments and some poor moments. I like him but he has yet to find a song that has really done him justice
Temitayo, I think is a great entertainer, which covers the fact that she is not such a brilliant singer, That song of Over the Rainbow did not have nearly enough emotion or tenderness in it for me.
Joan, brilliant voice, but lacks confidence and so doesn't quite project enough of her personality into her performances, but she has wonderful potential. She just has to believe in herself
Mercy, vocals and performance wise not good at all. She looked awkward and unnatural on the stage and her phrasing of the strong was terrible. She is in trouble tonight.
Jodie very good, however, I have heard that song on Idols done by a few artists and I think Jodie lacked a bit of soul in her voice. I still think she does not make enough eye contact with her audience and performs very much into herself. She needs to learn how to connect better with her audience and she will be excellent.
Omawumi surprised me, her voice is very good, she has a lot of class and her delivery is always good. I enjoyed her doing a slow number for once.

Best of the night for me were Timi, Omuwami, Joan and Jodie .

Going home Mercy or Jerrilyn, but I actually think it will be Mercy.

Weakest link for me is Jerrilyn. I think Omodele is better but I am not sure if she has a fan base yet, so she might go before Jerrilyn. I also feel Mercy has a great voice, but lacks a certain connection with the audience. She sings very much as if she is alone and does not know how to hold the audience. The best at grabbing the audience and opening himself up emotionally is Timi when he performs. He is very unique in his performances. Eric tries but comes across for me as too smooth and Uche was very good last night, a lot of charisma and charm. Joan last week was fantastic and connected more with the audience. Temitayo great performer, not too sure if her voice is so great. Omawumi good performer, need to hear both of them do a ballad next.

Last night was very disappointing. Eric, started off shaky and weak, but finished strong. Oluwadalopo shrieking, wrong keys, not good at all. Oge, nice performance has potential. Jarry good voice, lots of emotion in his voice, a love of music shines through, David, wrong song, but has a good voice, performance a little theatrical, could have done better . Jerrilyn, I do not like her voice at all. I cannot understand what the judges see in her, I hated her voice on the audition. I would definitely send Jarry through and toss up between Eric and Oge.

The two best performers definitely made it through. Timi has something special, when he sings he connects with the audience, he does not jus sing, he feels and interprets his songs magnificently. His voice and presence on stage is magical. He transforms when he sings and that is star power.

New to this forum, but was looking for a place to discuss Idols. Am really impressed with no 5, Timmy, was blown away by him from the auditions. He sings with a lot of passion and emotion. I love his voice and stage presence as well. So far he is my favourite.
