Late singer, George Michael has finally been laid to rest three months after his death.
The 53-year-old singer was buried beside his beloved mother in a family plot.

The "Careless Whisper" singer passed away from natural causes on Christmas Day but his funeral only took place on Wednesday afternoon at Highgate Cemetery in North London.

George’s boyfriend Fadi Fawaz was seen arriving for the intimate service shortly after 2pm, while mourners also included the singer’s friends Kate Moss and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp.

According to The Sun newspaper, the Praying for Time hitmaker’s dad Kyriacos, sisters Melanie and Panayiota, and cousins are hosting a wake after the burial at George’s nearby home.

Fadi previously claimed he had been kept in the dark about all arrangements for George’s funeral.

Asked about it earlier this month, he said: “The funeral? I can’t give you an answer, everything is being kept quiet.

“I can’t tell you about the funeral – it should have happened a long time ago. This has gone on and on. I was in the middle of it all.

“But I don’t know anything about the funeral, I really don’t know anything. Believe me. It’s all so strange.”

It was recently claimed George has left his £10 million London mansion to his older sister Melanie, 55, who used it as her base while planning her brother’s funeral.

A source said: “George was very close to his whole family but he had a particularly special bond with Melanie, who was by his side at the height of his fame.

“She adores the Highgate house, one of the first he bought. They shared some wonderful times there and it has a special place in her heart. Melanie is staying there at the moment while she organises the funeral.”

Chelsea star, Eden Hazard has revealed he won’t hold further talks with Spanish side Real Madrid.

Daily Mail revealed that Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of Hazard and is the driving force behind the club’s interest.

Hazard is well aware of Real’s interest but is taking a relaxed view on his future.

He is not pushing to leave Chelsea this summer, which strengthens Chelsea’s position to keep their star player, who moved to the Premier League from Lille in 2012.

Britain's exit from the European Union is officially underway.

A letter signed by Prime Minister Theresa May was delivered to European Council president Donald Tusk at 12:20 p.m. BST today, March 29. The letter gave official notice under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty that the U.K. will begin negotiating its exit from the treaty it joined in 1973.

Tusk tweeted to confirm that he had received the letter.

Pharrell Williams is set to induct Nile Rodgers into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Pitchfork reports.

Pharrell joins Snoop Dogg on the list of artists who will assist at this year’s ceremony with the rapper set to induct Tupac at this year’s event.

Meanwhile, performers newly confirmed for the ceremony include Lenny Kravitz playing a tribute performance to Prince, plus Alicia Keys, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Indigo Girls.

At the end of 2016, it was announced that Nile Rodgers and Tupac would be inducted into the hall of fame along with Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, Journey, and Electric Light Orchestra.

The induction will be on April 7 at Brooklyn’s Barcley’s Center.

An edited version of the ceremony is set to air on HBO, along with a radio broadcast on SiriusXM.

Zimbabwe’s High Court has outlawed corporal punishment for children both at school and in the home.

The ruling comes after a parent complained that her child in grade one, a class for six-year-olds, had deep bruises after a beating by a teacher.

Linah Pfungwa said her daughter had been punished for failing to have her reading book signed by guardians as proof she had done her homework.

The constitutional court will have to confirm the judgement.

The BBC’s Shingai Nyoka in the capital, Harare, says if upheld, it would transform the way parents have disciplined their children for centuries in the southern African country.
Some parents are criticising the ruling, while rights groups says it is long overdue.

Tupac Shakur is set to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 2017 ceremony on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The late rap icon is the latest emcee to be nominated for the Hall of Fame in October. He will be inducted along with other music legends like Electric Light Orchestra, Pearl Jam, Yes, Journey, and Joan Baez. Artists are eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their debut album. Tupac released his first album “2Pacalypse Now” in 1991.

This induction means that Tupac Shakur will be the sixth rap artist to be inducted. Run-DMC, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, and N.W.A. who was inducted this year are all rap artists to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. 2Pac is also the first solo artist to be inducted. Chuck D seems to think that LL Cool J is more worthy of the award than Tupac.

LL have been nominated in the past but never officially get confirmed.

“American Idol’s” farewell season inched closer to its end Thursday night with the elimination of contestant MacKenzie Bourg, the bespectacled singer-songwriter from Lafayette, Louisiana.

That leaves La’Porsha Renae, Trent Harmon and Dalton Rapattoni in the final three.
Bourg graciously exited the show after predicting that Renae, the other contestant at risk for elimination, was safe.
“Don’t lose now. Don’t lose to those chumps,” Bourg said as the two hugged.

The episode featured songs, selected by the contestants, that represented their hometowns.
Renae dedicated her performance of the song “Glory” to her hometown of McComb, Mississippi. Judge Keith Urban described the performance as so moving that it made him feel as though he had just gone through a baptism.

Rapattoni, from the Dallas area, rocked out to “Calling You” by Blue October, the stage sprinkled with screaming girls.
Staying true to his Southern roots, Harmon — who’s from Amory, Mississippi — delivered a version of “Tennessee Whiskey,” an old George Jones tune.

Though the contestants went through an emotional experience as they visited their hometowns, it was actually host Ryan Seacrest who got choked up as he signed off at the “American Idol” studio for the last time.
