Emmanystone: But in 1st Chronicle 6:3 is the genealogy of Levi: The children of Amram were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. As you can see Aaron was recorded to be the first child. |
Religion / Burning Question 4(was Aaron Truly Moses Blood Brother?) by Thenewtruth: 5:37am On Apr 04, 2018 |
Good morning all. Another day, another burning question. Background : Pharaoh gave a command that all male child born of the Hebrew's family must be killed. In Exodus 7:7 which says And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh. Aaron was three years older and grew up among the Hebrews. How come the same parent who saw the need to shield Moses didn't feel the need to shield Aaron. Burning Question: Was Moses truly Aaron's brother? |

Religion / Burning Question 3(was Moses Truly Born In Egypt?) by Thenewtruth: 9:03pm On Apr 03, 2018 |
Good evening all. I will be asking burning questions everyday, hopefully I'll get burning answers. So let me proceed with today's burning question. Background: Moses, as we read in the Bible was born in Egypt but it was in the period the King of Egypt which at that time was threatened by the Hebrews growing population. So he commanded that every babies born of Hebrew's family must be killed. Moses's mother preserved his life by putting him in a basket at a river close to the king's palace. Fortunately for him, he was discovered by the king's daughter who adopted him as a son. Moses spent most of his childhood and a vital part of his adult life at the Palace. In Hebrews 5:1-2 Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’ ” And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go.” Moses spent critical part of his life in the palace and no one recognized him. no nephews, no nieces, no had maiden, no cousins recognized him. Odd. Then in Exodus 6:12 which says And Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?” Emphasis on uncircumcised. Was it possible the people knew he was a foreigner and they said it to his face? Knowing the covenant of circumcision God has with Abraham. Again in Exodus 4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at Moses' feet, and said, “Surely you are a husband of blood to me!” The covenant of circumcision God made with Abraham state every child at 8 days old must be circumcised? Moses failed to do it with his son. Burning Question : Was Moses truly born in Egypt? |
Religion / Burning Question 2 ( What Were Their Names?) by Thenewtruth: 3:25pm On Apr 02, 2018 |
Still me, thenewtruth in the house. So my next burning question. Background : When Moses was born, a decree was already in existence which says that every Hebrew male child must be killed because they were a threat to their hosts, the Egyptians. When Moses was born three women played critical roles in preserving his life. Let see Exodus 2 : 2,4-7 So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months. Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it. And when she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.” Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, “Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you? Burning Question : Why were their names not written? |

From the above, let me infer 3 things : 1. The judgment was deliberately not written to make God seems like a sexist. 2. Or the judgment was deliberately not written to make it seems that it's wrong for a woman to question a man 3. Or God is a sexist. Up next : The Second burning question. |
Religion / Burning Question(scholars, Do Come In) by Thenewtruth: 12:10pm On Apr 02, 2018 |
Hi all, throughout this week I'll be asking burning questions. Hopefully I'll get burning answers. So let me begin. Background : Aaron and Miriam who were siblings to Moses questioned Moses for marrying a strange woman and God later became furious with them for daring to question Moses. The following were God's judgement in Numbers 12 :9-11
Burning Question : What was God's judgement against Aaron? |
