Ebenezer Akinsanmiro played 16mins+ off the bench today for his side, Sampdoria in their 3-1 away win over Modena in Serie B.

His 7th game in Serie B of which he has made 3 starts.

His 16mins saw him created one chance, win 4 ground duels, make 3 tackles, complete a dribble, make 4 recoveries and complete 3 passes out of 5 attempted.

Recall his last game saw him play 72mins from the start vs Serie A side, Genoa in a Coppa Italia fixture which Sampdoria won on penalties.

Not a Nigerian talent but....

Liam Delap of Ipswich Town. Another Man City EDS product. TheGoodJoe, we talked about this lad too all that time ago while he was still banging in thr City Youth Systems.
Was never gonna get a chance in thr City First team but look at him shining nicely at Ipswich. Hit his 2nd and 3rd EPL goals today vs Villa.

FC Zurich sits second currently.

Agreed. Tuchel is one but I don't know if they would look his way if ETH is kicked out. But I do believe Tuchel won't turn down a chance to return to the EPL.

Aside Tuchel though, I can hardly pick any strong coaching options. Can't even mention Zidane now as he hasn't coached a big team since his UCL 3-peat with Real Madrid between 2016 and 2018 and Last la liga stint in 2021. He is a risk but then na who wan take the risk I go recommend am to.

Moses Simon played all 90mins as Nantes played 2-2 against St Ettiene in Ligue 1.

He created one big chance, won 5 ground duels and registered a 78% passing accuracy today.

The bad thing is you would be sacking ETH in a period where tactically strong managers are not so much in the market. Who would you bring in to replace the bald one of red Manchester?

charlesemeka85:
Ten Hag should he sacked, in as much am a fan of his but I see no improvement in this team since he took over 3 seasons ago

Although his team, Kalmar FF fell 1-3 at home to Elfsborg (5th in Sweden), 18 y/o fast rising CB who has been mentioned times without number by Chriskels and Charlesemeka85, Vince Osuji produced quite the passing clinic finishing as the highest passer in the encounter - 88 accurate passes out of 92 attempted. 96% passing accuracy.

His other game numbers today:

5 clearances.
5 recoveries.
2 interceptions.
2 headed clearances.
100% tackles won (1/1).
2 aerial duels won.
2 ground duels won.
1 block.
Wasn't dispossessed once.

Red card to one of your most creative players and two goals down. Ahhh.

Although Ejuke's supposed assist was eventually chalked off, it doesn't take away from the fact that he indeed had a good game.

7/9 dribbles completed.(highest in the game... Na him food).

9 ground duels won (highest in the game)

11 recoveries.

He was heavily involved to help Sevilla earn a point at Bilbao.

Jordan Torunarigha benched for Gent vs OH Leuven in Belgium who has Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi

Game on in 1 min

Ikwuemesi was formerly at Salernitana in Serie A 23/24 last season but left for Belgium after they got relegated.

Ego? Wait mostob... you really do have a problem. This is not the first time your insignificant self will try to play down the efforts of people actually contributing to the thread. This is not the first at all. And ofcos I know you stay with the stigma of having been called out by me for groping to a pic of one of our Super Falcons players. The pain still rings fresh which is part of why you won't back down from saying nonsense.

A player I know nothing about?? Do anyone actually think that I have the time to mention every player or talent I know?? Lol

I have known about Nwaneri before he made that teamsheet but didn't think him necessary to mention until that day.

So it is until I mention a player here on NL that I know about the player?? What foolery is this?

So I must list all the talents I know about scattered across the Arsenal, Chelsea and other academies in England or Europe? I actually do my best. BUT WHAT DO YOU DO?? ALL YOU DO IS TALK DOWN AND SOUND FOOLISH.

All you do is attack but hardly do you contribute in terms of players monitoring OR players visibility. It is 2024 and you are still the same. How pathetic.

Everyone who comes to this thread and the previous threads before this one was opened by Terzurum5 knows reporting on players is like second nature for me. I make it look easy.

So you being an Arsenal fan and thinking only you and Arsenal fans should know about Nwaneri is absolutely silly of you. You are just very delusional.

NWANERI WAS MENTIONED ON THIS THREAD BEFORE HE EVER OFFICIALLY DEBUTED FOR ARSENAL

If that fact pains you so much as an Arsenal fan, then you can eat metal.

mostob:
LMAO... Whatever satisfies your ego.
The fact still remain that you lied.
Now rest.

Ndi did justice to making him visble grin grin
A kid you know nothing about till you saw his name on the team sheet on that day.

It was gonna be Saka. Saka was gonna ge that lad with his staunch rebuttal back then when he was called "English Nigerian". He said no... he is Omo Naija through and through but alas.... we saw how it turned out.

But time may have a surprise for us. Time may yet throw up a player that will do just as you hope despite his huge chances with a top euro nation. That would be a sight.

Mujtahida:

One day we will get one such player who for some reason will just choose Nigeria.

Excuse me noisemaker. But long before you logged into NL as Komekn, I have always suggested the idea to go for the duals early and focus only on the ones interested and leave the ones who ass lick England alone (this was way long before i even joined NL). My football journey didn't start on NL. Nothing has changed. I am just regurgitating same thought. And I repeated same on a previous thread opened by Joseph1013 back then when I joined around 2015.

My approach remains wholly to balance recruitment.

100% full throttle focus on the local scenes focusing on our academies and youth systems and keeping track of them when they go abroad (plus keeping track on any indigenous talent that pops up abroad).

Plus

Strategic focus on the dual nationals that are open to us even from the U17s.

So you are the one cursed with lack of understanding. AS ALWAYS.

Before he began blowing up, this thread did justice to making him visible. Myself and a couple other monikers already mentioned him before his EPL debut in 22/23 season, 2 seasons ago. We also graced the thread with his record breaking debut which lasted a few mins.

If we had moved on him then, we may have stood a chance but right now ain't no way we are bagging him especially with Bukayo Saka as the kid's mentor.

Saka wanted us for...... .....

......

Above is the statement made. Please where is prior to Sept 18 mentioned? Wasn't it clearly stated it was before his debut happened? Even if it was a minute before his debut, the point stands as valid as it was indeed before his debut.

And Ethan making the bench that day, was it a guarantee of his eventual debut? No. Capital No. We have seen youngsters make the bench all the time without coming off the bench.
In Ethan's case, We anticipated it and I rightly did justice to his info. Him eventually making his debut later that same day became a bonus.

The question is was Ethan mentioned here before he made his Arsenal first team debut? The answer is a BIG YES!!

Now rest. You are the one arguing over nothing really.

mostob:
Was he mentioned here prior to Sept 18, 2022? NO!
This is in no way something worth arguing about. Infact the first post about him came immediately the team sheet was revealed for that Brentford game.
Finito!

I clearly said we mentioned him before his debut. I was certain of it and I have proved so. You are the one shifting it to "prior to Sept 18". Was he mentioned before he made his debut? Before he stepped out onto the pitch at Arteta's call? We did.

At the time we mentioned Ethan, had he made his debut? No. So I am not wrong. Read my statement again.

mostob:
Lmao... Everything you posted about Ethan still came on the exact day he made his debut.
Prior to September 18, 2022, nobody mentioned him here. That's what I was implying

Ntwali is a much bigger club now than Nwabali and is still being outshone by same Nwabali. That is the whole point of this reminder coz you made it almost look like him going to Chiefs automatically makes him better.

More on Ethan just before his debut happened.

TheSuperNerd:
Additionally, he's been impressing for the Arsenal's U18s and U21s. An attacking midfield player who has very decent goals and assists stats at U18-U21 levels.

For him to be on the senior bench at 15 in an EPL game means Arteta reckons with this lad seriously. So we watch and see how much more the lad grows.

Another Highly Interesting prospect.

15 y/o Anglo-Nigerian Ethan Nwaneri makes the bench for Arsenal in their EPL fixture vs Brentford.

Yep. You read it right! 15 Years old!!! Kid is An AM.

As usual for now, Frank Onyeka benched for Brentford.

Game on in 36mins.

You doubt it probably because you were not here when it happened or you just forgot.

I doubt anybody mentioned Ethan Nwaneri here before his senior debut though.

TBH kid is so talented. He has a bit of Jamal Musiala in him. Driving runs, close control dribbling and those inch-perfect pass.

Victor Osimhen on Icardi....

Context: When Osimhen was making world records with the Nigeria U17 in 2015, Icardi was bagging 27 goals in 48 apps for Inter Milan in 2014/15 season and 16 in 34 for the 2015/2016 season also with Inter.

If we had moved on him then, we may have stood a chance but right now ain't no way we are bagging him especially with Bukayo Saka as the kid's mentor.

Saka wanted us for a bit initially but then changed his mind when he saw he had a real chance with England. I understand Saka. And I knew instantly Saka will have a longer lasting England career than Tammy, Tomori, Solanke, EZE and co.

Now same Saka is Captain of Arsenal in Odegaard's absence and another Anglo-Nigerian like himself with high potential, Ethan Nwaneri is finally having his breakthrough season after his EPL debut 2 seasons ago, Omo, ain't no way England are losing this guy unless the hype drops.

Verdict: The NFF should have a mega active scouting and recruitment dept division focused on the dual nationals who can approach them early and see how we can commit them early before the hype comes. Those who will commit, will commit. Those who won't do so, won't do so. But understand, some of these kids also understand that playing for a Euro youth side (England U17, France U17, etc) betters their chances of being considered at their clubs as they climb up the ladder of their careers so some won't commit based on this angle alone.

Mujtahida:
We have to get that Nwaneri guy. We have to. Can't we get a super talented player choosing us from the get-go?

Let this be a lesson for you then to be patient and not hasty with your takes.

Somehow fate says no hattrick today for the Monster Machine. Another day surely.

Mertens takes the place of the Monster Machine but I truly hope it is only as a precaution for the knock the latter picked up.

Hope to see Osimhen back to continue from where he has paused. The OSI GALAGASM has only just begun.
