Please mamas, I had an issue yesterday that scared the hell out of me. I got to work yesterday morning and all of a sudden, I started feeling this severe stomach pain. As in squeezing pain. I thought it was hunger, I ate fried plantain and eggs with freshyo, the pain increased. I tried lying down, I couldn't lie on my left or right side. The pain persisted till afternoon. At a point, I was only asking God for mercy cos I taught it was labour pains ( I am 29 weeks gone). I was asked to go home. I took permission from work and left. On my way home, I took 5alive. Immediately it got to my tummy, I threw up. After throwing up, the pain ceased. I got myself.

Dear mamas, please have anyone experienced this before? I am really worried.

Relief! Thank God. I've only experienced this when I wasn't pregnant. Your food combination was intolerable. That's all. I understand the fear. No worries. No loss and no complications. We will bring forth at the right time with ease.

Hello, welcome to the club, momma.
To your question, people take bitter cola and it's fine. I was told it contains caffeine. I don't know how true that is cos I used to put it in my mouth to avoid spitting in my first pregnancy, not chew though.
If this is your first pregnancy, I'd advise you register for antenatal already. Then, you can ask about chewing the bitter cola.

Preggy mommas good morning, how are we oh. October mommas, how is the journey going. Will be 29 weeks tomorrow, but this week has been filled with so much baby wriggling and kicks. Is this normal like this. The wriggles are so much that I can really feel the pressure. Uncomfortable atimes. It's perfectly normal dear. I had to make a video last night of my tummy showing baby's movements and kicks

Panic and cry for what na? Tell her to relax. It's safe. And you'll have your baby without stress. Thank God, you've been told on time.

You cannot do anything, other than to pray and be expectant of labour. You're already due for delivery. Your doctor should tell you what next.

Good morning mamas, please o I need your opinion on this. I did a scan yesterday according to the scan result the EFBW is 272g at 23weeks. Is the baby not supposed to be bigger than that. I don't understand. Am still waiting for response. Am a FTM

To me, I suggest you do another scan to confirm that weight cos that's too small. If it's the same, then talk to your doc.

Cappo, we are doing well ooo. But my BP has refused to go down instead it increased to 154/99. Am already getting tired of taking plenty drugs, what else can I do to bring down the bp?. I have reduced my salt intake, I rest well and worry less. Constipation no allow me sleep since ooo, been rolling left and right......

Just seeing this. I'm so sorry. You'll be fine. Just follow your doctor's instructions. Some pregnancies come with this package.

I don't think it is advisable to take any drug for sleeping. Just shut away every distraction-phone, tv, movie, book, thoughts, anything. Turn off lights. You may use a blindfold and sleep.

Hello mama , we are good this side. Feeling more abdominal pain and less baby kicks kind of baby spend more time sleeping and wakes to stretch her body then goes back to her sleeping.

I'm yet to start shopping i just feel relaxed about it. I don't know if it's because this is my second baby or just my normal self ( i shopped for first baby's stuffs at 35weeks; went to market that day with DH and bought 95% of my list. I'm the kind of person that would be preparing to trevel and gathering everything i needed with my mind but won't pack bag till late at night or early morning of the day of journey)

The kick and hits from Bobo has reduced as his grandma and cousin are around so he has other people to play with.



About your baby formula,.nothing wrong with buying it now as long as you check the expiry date.

How are we doing? I just discovered that I've started walking like a �
The pressure on my jajaina is top notch and the kicks are not regular, plentier and stronger. I also feel some kind of jelly-like movements right below my pelvis and sometimes in my jajaina. I panicked when it first happened o. Don't know what that is, though.
We hit the 29 weeks mark today. I just know I have like 10 more weeks to go.
Please would it be too early to buy baby formula now and put in my hospital bag? I don't have that strength for exclusive breastfeeding. My other children started formula two to three weeks after birth.

I am 40wks 1day today, I went to the hospital and Dr said if by 41wks I don't fall into labor I will be induced and if induction fails then I proceed to CS.

I have heard so much about the induction and I don't want to be induced. What do you advice.

You don't need to be worried. Induction is fine. Look on the bright side of it. You get to see your baby faster. You may even fall into labour before the 41 weeks so relax.

Hi mamas, I am thinking of getting a can of formula for baby, just in case milk doesn't flow on time. Please which do you recommend and also will I take a feeding bottle along when going for delivery?

If your hospital will allow it, it's fine. Me, I will include feeding bottle in my bag o.
I'll suggest NAN 1 since it is very accessible and affordable. That's what I plan to use though.

Birth Story

All thanks be to Almighty God for safe delivery. The pregnancy came with different packages ranging from abnormal cravings,Head aches, gum and tooth aches ,ringing in my ears,constipation and nauseaness at third trimester.

EDD according to scan was 7th,15th of July. At 36weeks,went for antenatal I complain about decrease in bowel movements .don't know if it was constipation coz I always drink water. Doctor advice that I should eat lot of fruits and veggies so I increased my water and veggies intake, still no Changes

Fast forward to on the 1st of July (exactly 38weeks), went for antenatal . She checked me as usual and said I should expect my baby any day. That baby has engaged.She counsel me on childbirth and other things. She even said I should have sex with dh that it would help my ministry and quicken labour..hmm...Me that have been lazy about, I was yet to pack my hospital bag. On my way home I bought a very iced zobo, dates and pineapple. In my mind I was ready! . That same week I packed my hospital bag also increased my daily walk, sex was the last thing on my mind but I sha manage do am . All I got was mild cramps and so much tightness and heaviness down below.

On the 5th of July which was on Sunday, I woke up with painful cramps, went to ease myself then I saw thick mucus plug. In my mind I was like "Abi na today baby wan come".....Told Dh about it. He suggested we should go to hospital ASAP.I declined. I said when it's time we would go.that I was not sure if that day was the Dee day.I went on with my buziness. The pain was coming and going. Still bearable tho.

I slept around some minutes to 9pm or there about only for me to wake some minutes to 11pm with painful contractions.I time the intervals between contractions it was 10minutes apart. Quickly, I woke Dh and told him I was feeling labour pains, my guy jumped from bed, and started looking for what to wear... I stood up and was about changing clothes when another contraction came...I didn't know when tears dropped..The moment I felt relieved,I took my hand bag and rushed out, ask him to carry the hospital bag .

When we got to hospital, we were told that the midwife on duty was attending to someone in the labour ward.that we should wait. I glance at the wall clock ,11:32 pm. Whenever contractions hit me I would hold my waist and breathe out aloud. I was wriggling in pains. By 11: 40 I was checked and at 8cm dilation. Not long after the midwife left,I started having strong contractions,it became more frequent. At a point I told Dh to please pray for me. He said don't you have faith. I told him he should just pray for me. He held my hands, while praying another one hit me, I squeeze his hands so hard that he had to stop and say baby sorry sorry. After some time I felt the baby's head crowning. My water burst. I felt the urge to poo. I ask Dh to call the midwife that I want to poo. When she came , she checked and said I was almost there, that if i feel the urge to push I Should not. she left,the next thing I felt poo coming out. it was in massive. I tried to hold myself .I was shaking. The whole place was just messed up. Dh quickly clean me up, spread another Nightingale and hurry to call the midwife. Immediately she entered,she ask me to get up .I try getting up I couldn't. They (Dh and the midwife) assisted me to the labour ward. I quickly lay down before another contractions will come. Everything was set. The moment she said push, I pushed twice my princess came out crying. Weighing 3.5kg.... Later, placenta came out. I started chanting thank you Jesus thank you Jesus.
