You dey mind those same Hypocrites way champion endsars, wey come they form wailing today, ie Timoleon, ozommadu?

They don’t want to use what is in their skull to reason, just blame Bola Tinubu and be alright.

The last time I checked, delta is a state in Nigeria. Also Tinubu is the chief security officer of Nigeria. Part of the revenue that feeds the federal government also comes from Delta state.

One of the major justification of the revenue that the federal government receives would be the provision of security. This isn't too difficult to understand.

I beat one girl in my lodge and she went and call SARS for me. The useless SARS people didn't even ask me what happened they just slapped me and dumped me inside their van and drove off.

When we got to their station, they asked me if I have any last words or will I would like to write that I've been marked for death. Later one came in and told them to take me to the stake and shoot that fresh detainees would be arriving tomorrow and they don't need us. I cry taya that day. They sha released me after my uncle paid 50k.

Did you think of any last words though undecided

No excuse for the man, him don secure long term bedspace for prison.

However, dear women, 'you will kill me today', 'if you are a man beat me' etc does not favor anyone o. Avoid any situation that might tempt you into this. If the man is the trouble maker and violent person, form humble at the instance of flaring emotions. Excuse yourself from the house after that if you think you are at danger. No go dey drag unnecessary dragging. Too many unfavorable endings dey occur.

Dear men, silence treatment, walking away is not a sign of weakness. If a woman no give you respect wey you feel say you deserve, waka commot from her. If indeed you deserve the respect she go come beg you back if she no come back, just bone and keep developing yourself for a woman that will respect you. Violence on your woman no be big man o. In the long run e no pay you at all.

u don't get the point here. Since her annual salary couldn't buy the car, it means she must have gotten money from somewhere else to buy the car. Now back to the topic what he said was the with 200k as ur monthly salary u could employ a driver and also a maid and I am trying to tell u it isn't possible because that money isn't even enough for u after u remove money for fuel, feeding ur self, accomodation and other billings that will come up during the month. I am not saying u can't live an okay live with that 200k but it would have to come with a lot of sacrifices and once things like car come in, that money isn't enough for u again. Ur argument here is someone who earns 200k a month can employ a driver and a maid right? U should be able to do a brief estimation of how u will split that 200k btw every bill u have and still pay the maid and driver and u will see that it is just not possible unless u plan on paying 10k or less for their services.

Ok

I just gave u a calculation to see if it was possible and from my calculation it isn't possible to own a car if u are earning only 200k. Prove me wrong that someone who earns 2.4m per annum can buy a tokunbo car of around 5m in 3years of earning that same amount.
. This is not the thread about that. This is a thread about employing a driver and a maid not about buying a car. Stay on topic.

Firstly, 2.4 million can buy a car. No be by force to buy tokunbo. You can get a good nigerian used for that price. People dey japa regularly, you can always find a good bargain if you look out properly.
Moreover, right from day 1, most people who bought a car have always had to buy it with more than their annual salary. If you don buy car as a salary earner, you go know. When cars were sold for 4000 naira, the average graduate was earning 200-300 naira. It didn't stop them from buying a car.

Below is a story of a woman who bought her first car in 1981. Obviously, her annual salary could not buy a car.

I don't understand how u guys support rubbish, so even if u have a car already and u earn only 200k u will employ driver abi? So minus the 20k u mentioned from the 200k. How much is left? Then minus petrol cost from the balance abi is it water u guys want to use to drive the car around. If u are going to be taking ur car out regularly in a month, no matter how fuel saving the car is, u will still require nothing less than 60k fuel for the entire month. Now add feeding and accomodation cost and other expenses like data, mechanic. It just isnt possible.

There is no basis for comparison in the first place, it's already flawed because the chasm between 2,000 and 200,000 is mind boggling.

The percentage of Nigerians who currently collect 200,000 as monthly salary will not be up to 5%(select few).
Meanwhile, the percentage of people in UK collecting 2000 and above as monthly salary will definitely be a higher percentage(majority)

For me it just exposes how weak and useless the power of our currency is.
One should be ashamed to bring those two figures together as a basis for comparison, in relation to the strength of 2 currencies

So your grudge is with our currency. Not with his submission. Fair enough.

They didn't buy the car recently, go and find out. They got it before these useless govt policies.

Or they are involved in high paying private business or in shading business dealings at the workplace
Or they inherit the car from their well to do wealthy parents.

Today Nigeria, you can't save and use only salary to buy direct Belgium London used tokunbo car.

Yes. The op didn't say you have to buy the car recently did he? It's you who is adding that. He simply said you can hire a driver from a 200k income and that much is true. There are a lot of hungry people out there who will gladly take the job for 20k. Is it a fair salary? No. But will they take it? Yes. This much is what this thread is about. Can a maid be engaged from an income of 200k? Yes. If you made an offer as a young man who works Monday to Saturday that a maid should come clean your house on Sundays cook and leave and you'd pay her 15k monthly, you'd definitely find someone who will gratefully take the offer. Is it a lot of money in this economy for the maid? No. But will the offer bw taken? Yes. In the present Nigeria, people work for as little as that even for worse conditions.

How much does a person employed in a pos shop get paid? Many teachers in small private schools don't take home 20k. Many factory workers take home 25k or less with hard Labor. Many secretaries of really small offices earn 15k or less.

Do you really think it is impossible to find someone who will cook and clean 4 times a month for 15k? Or someone who will drive for 20k?

are this people family men? How are u sure that is the only hustle they are doing? Let's do the calculation. If u earn 200k in a year u will have 2.4m. Tell me if 2.4m can buy a car if u a car in Nigeria and that is if u save ur entire salary. Because they have a car or they are building houses doesn't automatically mean it is that 200k that is covering everything.

If you answered the question honestly, there'd be no need for this your writeup. In Nigeria today, there are people whose salary are 200000 or less who own a car.

Lol...Mogadishu go take offense for that your comment o. Anyways let's get back to real issues. To truly understand the weight of a persons argument, a reasonable level of context has to be provided. If sure with more context, Mr Onyema's argument might find more people to agree.
A fact which I believe Mr Onyema can't refute though is that being in the UK legitimately and hustling diligently will provide more dividends in the long run than being in Nigeria. That is irrefutable at least as of today

This is the kind of lies the rich tells the poor so that the poor can remain contended with their circumstances.

Oga Allen I will rather earn that 2000 pounds than earn 200k naira.

Wait sef, where is the job offering 200k in Nigeria?
I earn 37k and it lasts just 2weeks.

The problem is that you are conflating the morality of it with the facts. If 37k sustains you for 2 weeks, 80k would probably sustain you for four weeks. 200k would definitely allow you to save. I bet even with 37k, you aren't homeless. 200k can do much more for you.

Should you however settle for 200k!? NO. There's more to be gotten and one must never settle for a finite source as problems/expenses are infinite.

Lol... many of those who shared their experience, still live there. If I were looking for an apartment, that's one of the sources id consult. People who have living experience of the proposed neighborhood. They do think Woolwich is a ghetto.

won't he buy fuel. If u want to drive ur car to and fro let say to work and other places u are going to, u will still need nothing less than 20k fuel every week. So tell me how u will be able to save after every other expenses. We haven't even added maintenance of the car into it.

Please help me with this question with sincerity.

Are there people in Nigeria who earn less than 200k monthly and own a car. Be sincere with the answer. I personally know a few of them. Some of them are currently building their personal houses little by little from their 200k.
