It pains me that nairaland is being infiltrated by kid adults. Why can't nairalanders just make a point without insulting themselves. Its a show of lack of civilization. Is this the way we attract more members to nairaland? Sometimes i wonder how many literate we have here

Baba has spoken. He knows he laid a solid foundation for good governance for his successors to build on. With that in mind, to him what Jonathan and his followers are parading as performance is a disappointment, because to whom much is given much is expected.

he laid a solid foundation like boko haram. So we should expect more from GEJ shey?

I also saw another scene where one guy attacked David mark but it was kinda far so no details. Nigeria, Its a pity

They have the oldest Petroleum Engineering department in Nigeria lol. Infact the only Nigerian university with a Professor in Petroleum Engineering I think.

When I say 'prof' I mean someone that climbed the ranks in the petroleum engineering field and not one that converted from chemical engineering or the likes. If it's by conversion then UNILAG has 2 Professors in Petroleum (Prof Oyekunle and Kehinde).

http://tech.ui.edu.ng/welcomepet

CORRECTION- FUTO also has a Full petroleum Prof

UNIPORT also

primusmaximus:

When it comes to Petroleum Engineering UI is the best by far but we (UNILAG) are closing that gap rapidly.

However, I would say UNILAG is the most impressive as we are under 10 years old. And in the 6 Inter-university quiz competitions (STCE) we've taken part in we came 1st twice, 3rd twice, 5th once and lost out to UNIPORT at the quarterfinals 2 years back (UI went on to win that year). And we are currently holding the SPEI Golden award for the most outstanding student chapter in the world.

Also we were under 25 in my set compared to about 100-400 in schools like UNIPORT which makes our achievements more impressive

But we don't have any Doctor or Professor with a petroleum engineering background and we are yet to start masters in Petroleum so I'll still give UI 1st position.

In my Opinion
1) UI
2) UNILAG
3) PTI
4) FUTO
5) UNIBEN

and where do u place the UNIPORT?

Your sister has not been given account number yet? Is it the government that gives account number? Are you sure your sister was employed as a teacher. Yes, I am a civil servant, and I know quite a number of people who were employed as teachers, both family members and friends, so I know what I am talking about. Your sister is supposed to submit her account number when she is doing biometrics. Ask your sister well, she is either lying to you or she was not employed at all. As for the corpers, I don't know anything about that. Don't go making allegations online you can not prove.

after her biometrics, she was told to come back for her acct no, that it will be given to her by the state gov. Funny enough saipem gave her a job and she dumped everything about amechi's scam. God will always deliver his ppl from the hands of politician. Its now left to those who want to keep licking their thieving arse, seeing good in the bad they do. Lets see what will become of the teachers and their arrears after amechi's tenure, tell ur family and friends to make hay while the sun shines...

Do you have to lie to show your hatred for Amaechi? Civil servants are not being owed, except for october. The september salaries were delayed and that was because allocations were delayed, even GEJ confirmed that allocations for september were paid a little over a week ago. All newly employed teachers are presently being paid, except for arrears being owed them. The government has started paying the arrears in bits for 2 months to most of the teachers. Please, don't spread falsehoods, or atleast confirm from civil servants or teachers before you start peddling rumours.

are u a civil servant, a teacher or are u responsible for paying them? How much are teachers being paid? My sister hasn't been given an account number yet, not to talk of payment and shes a teacher. Why did u skip the corpers and road part. Amechi is a thief and so is his opposition. My friend, quit being a politician and face facts squarely.
Politics / Re: APC Rally In PH (photo's) by tochman(m): 8:41am On Oct 26, 2014
U Guys are here praising amechi. Teachers haven't been paid for 7 months, even civil Servants and corpers. All being owed. Road projects on stand still. The mono rail is a waste. My neighbor was recently evicted by my landlord because he couldn't meet up with the rent (as a civil servant). Amechi has been diverting state funds for his political agenda. Can't Bahari, the incorruptible judge, call him to order. Is this how apc want to transform nigerian? By bribing over 20k ppl to sing their praises in a stadium?? Tufiakwa... May God help Nigeria

I have said it before on a tread that APUGA has been sold for a plate of nkwobi and a carton of hero beer. What if Tinubu had left (sold out) AC(N) even when the party was controlling only one state and even at that was facing strong persecution from the Obasanjo led federal government. He stood firm, nurtured the party, reclaimed the SW, now the party (through its merger with other poitical parties) has turned out to be a great opposition force to curtail the excesses of the ruling party and is poised to take over the central government from the ruling party. For this, I will always respect the man Tinubu. Yet some ignorant folks across the bridge will come online and throw wild and baseless bashing against a man they don't even know.It is so easy for people to hate, envy and become jealous of you when you are successful but they do not know how much time, efforts and sleepless nights and sacrifices you have put into achieving your goal.
LESSON: Whatever is your defined political fortunes and interests, nobody dashes you on a platter of gold, you fight for that which you want and not by yansh-licking AGIP.

respect men with your best interest at heart, not those creating and merging parties for their personal interest. 'Food for though'
