I used to wonder why people to say Wike is a political featherweight in Rivers and if not 4 Mrs GEJ he is a nobody, now I understand, he lacks any political strategy or reasoning, for a governor whose administration is definately on life support instead of borrowing a leaf from Fayose of Ekiti and try to win the people over to his side he is wasting the little time he has to engage in frivious totally political dead issues, what does he think will happen when Apc takes over, Peter will say no case !, Let us be honest the war is already over Apc has won Rivers the number of Pdp heavy weights that have deserted Wike there is no recovery from the body blow, Wike better start covering his tracks becosas the saying go's if u dont want monkey tail to touch your body u better stop playing monkey music

You want good advice forget about attracting or not attracting men, do you need the car? is getting to work easy? the reason behind these questions is simple if you have some extra money go and buy land or talk to a bank and buy a property it is far better than buying a car, you r young u r strong and if getting to work is not a problem do something meaniful for your future, my mum brought her first land in her mid 20s now she is a grandma every weekend grand children cousins relatives all go to see becos she has money she has properties cars etc and she did not go school she has olden days standard one or whatever it was called then, the point I am making if you need it buy it if you dont then use yur money for something better

Reno omokri pls rewind to May 2015 in the last few weeks of Oga GEJ administration there was crippling fuel scarcity, the whole country was shutdown, aeroplanes remaind grounded on the tramac, mobile phone substation couldnt transmit even the army was short on fuel so the fact and point is that your GEJ handed over a broken system and that is the bottom line, I do understand that APC should get on with the job but there is no money that is why we r chasing Dasuki & co, hopefuly if we can completely refit our refineries at least that will supply the nation with half of its domestic consumption, life at the top is not easy, to chop and destroy is fall easier and faster than to build and repair pls nigerians pray for success for Original Baba soldier Buhari, everybody positivity and no negativity, Nigeria will succeed by the grace of Almighty Creator

madridguy:
My comment is as regards to the statement from the Minister of Finance which said there might not be increment in Fuel price even though the subsidy is totally removed.

there is some truth to that statement since oil prices have collapse and the price of petrol at the pumps is falling worldwide, our problem is we are spending too much dollars and pounds to keep this subsidy
Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy: Buhari In Dilemma (new Telegraph) by TopHand: 12:21pm On Dec 20, 2015
Dilemma? what dilemma, the subsidy has to go when oil prices were high when we could afford it our leaders refused to invest oil renevue in making us self sufficient from foreign petrol and diesel we had our opportunity, with dollar in very short supply and the whole business sector in a gradual state of collaspe it is not a choice, Nigeria simply does not have the luxury of delay President Buhari must act now, the banks are no more facilitating payments of business transanctions conducted aboard, online e-commerce is ceasing and very soon 80% of the population engaged in self employment and business will grind to an halt and collapse.
It is not a question of if, it is a question of when, the soon the better, the government needs not only increase its foreign reserves but it also has to make this foreign currencies available for businesses transanctions.
While this current situation is not PMB or Apc fault (100% PDP fault, Nigeria after record oil prices and 16yrs of pdp should not be importing petrol) the govt needs to
1. Remove fuel subsidy ( its time to bury the masquerade disturbing the peace in town, yes we know there will be resistance from the beast the NLC cronies and other beneficiaries will mobilise but after exhausting its resources the beast will be conqered the government just needs to plan and put in place a framework to neutralise any NLC plan to cripple oil and transport sector)
2. devalue the Naria (free the Naria of all the external stress and speculations against, the CBN governor and directors should pls study the Russian experience who where forced after months of intervention to free the Ruble, presently Russia has a very heatly foreign reserve)
3. change the currency (this will enable the govt regain control of Naria, it will also assist in the war angainst corruption all those "David Mk politicans" with lots of "Ghana must go" will end up losing their ill gotten wealth thank God 4 BVN they can not change the cash in the bank )

Jealousy is a serious diease. Let me tell you one thing about a politician, he does not spend his money without benefit, he will only spend his money on you if there is something in it for him now back to linda she is a one of a kind blogger and that is why both PDP and APC came to her to do a political spread, she charged both customers for each job and only a mumu will pay someone to slap him, if Apc and pdp were not happy with the price they could have carried their money to somewhere else. I am an APC man but that does not mean I will not collect work from PDP a job is a job we should respect and admire Linda for her abilities her tenacity she is a self made person and I admire that alot. Linda cant rig elections, she is not a godfather either is she a royal father or runing for political office yet you had both parties knocking at her door and that is a statement with a capital S. people stop hating a person becos they are legit

Business / Re: Naira Finally Crashes To 260 Per Dollar, Its Lowest In 42 Years by TopHand: 7:24am On Dec 12, 2015
mployer:

Lol, I am no prof bro smiley

The problem is that the cbn cannot sustain the 199 rate due to the decline in our forex earning. If they sell to everybody at that rate, our foreign reserve will burn out. So they have to hoard the dollar and come up with different policies that will limit peoples access to dollar. The more they do that, the more the black market price increase. On the economics of supply and demand, the black market price represents the real price.

The cbn has no choice than devalue the naira to the black market price, so that whomever that wants and can afford the dollar will have an easy access to it. This will bring stability and confidence to the economy.
But they won't do it because they are afraid most Nigerians including the government itself won't understand why they have to.

I agree with u we r in a difficult position we only hav $29 billion in our vaults and if this is opened up to the public in a country that imports even toothbrush that money will be finished in a year, while the govt can devalue the Naria further it can not totally abandon it to market forces becos speculators and hoarders will completely rubbish the currency, I believe the govt is going to change the currency in order to take stock of how much Naria is in circulation thereby control its quantity and control price inflation, I also believe the govt will remove fuel subsidy thereby encouraging competitive supply in the sector this will also allow the govt to increase the amount of its foreign reserves, there r other things the govt can do like reducing business tax on small investment, helping and assisting companies in local product research and development instead of our agencies shutting down and fining small local producers of alternative products they should work with them to bring their products up to standard, also massive and immediate investment in electricity which is the backbone of production this should also cover LPG production lastly Nigeria needs at least one functioning modern refinery to cater for its domestic market

With this disastrous news, get ready for tomorrow's story by Buhari and his goons on Goodluck Jonathan's $980bn loot, all in a desperate attempt to deflect attention from our current economic woes and keep their gullible supporters distracted on frivolities and nonsensical white lies.

If we didn't have a voting public so intellectually vapid, the focus would have been on asking our dear mallam to adequately elucidate on how he so miraculously "Cut down Nigeria's Inflation from 20 percent to 0 percent" as his campaign team so falsely bellowed.
Did he do it with a cutlass?
A few minutes of investigation and fact-checking would have made it clear to anyone that the story was nothing but a blatant lie.
When you claim to be an honest man, but your campaign promises are filled to the brim with unintelligent lies and slogans, it's time for some soul searching.

What's even worse is the fact that this man fought tooth and nail for the presidency for 12 years. 12 SOLID YEARS!
He finally gets there and is as visionless and lost as ever, promising to hit the ground running but taking 6 months to build a cabinet; with his mouth in hyperdrive and his brain in suspended animation.

Shame on this Twitter generation.
I will never be a slave to ignorance.

You are an illitrate sorry for being rude but your lack of intelligent and logical thinking leads to one conculsion "wasted effort" all the time and money spent on you was like flushing it down a toilet.
Now let me educate u in layman's terms, a country's currency is only as good as the the goods and services it produces and offers to the world, if you have a hot product people ie "countries" will want to trade with you thereby making your currency attractive, when crude oil was $110 per barrel obviously it was a hot product and thus a higher Naria, now oil is no more a hot product the international market is flooded with oil hence nobody is interested in the Naria thus the low value, this is why Nigeria needs to diversify its economy. This government is 100% devoted to making Nigeria become the "china" of africa we have the population we have the space we even have the minerals to make 80% of all consumer consumables eg batteries, phones, solar panels, spare parts, bulbs, water pumbs,pc assesories hard disks etc etc, but to do this we need the infrastructure mainly electricity!!! iron and steel, look my friend PDP did not even build a functioning refinery we have to import petrol!!! we that are producing the oil, now you are crying Naria is losing value, stop embrassin yourself. Do you think that you can go to london walk into a restuarant and pay for your food in Naria, no my brother u cant you have to exchange your Naria 4 pounds in Nigeria, and the amount of pounds in Nigeria is govern by volume and value of trade with the UK and if the Uk is not buying your Crude oil how is there goin to b pently of pounds in Nigeria henceforth the price of dollars, pounds etc increases it is as simple as that chikena!!

People should also realise that PMB is seeking investment and favourable loans and grants, the fact is that presently Nigeria spends almost all its revenue on just paying its wage bill a leagacy of GEJ administration we need money to build our refineries roads hosiptals agricultural sector etc PMB could take the easy route go to the IMF or World Bankfor money but the interest and conditions attached these loans will be too steep we do want to have an unpayable debt situation like Greece thus we can only lobbying loans from friendly countries from a $110 to $8 that is how much the price of oil as fallen it is a miracle that APC has been able to keep the country going.

For all those who seem incapable of comprehending the logic behind APC fielding Yahaya Bello as its choice please refer to the recent judgement handed down by the taraba State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal that nullified the April election of Mr. Darius Ishaku as governor of the state based on the fact that the PDP canidate was hand picked and not a product of a governorship primaries. To cut the story short ONLY THOSE INVOLVED IN THE GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES can be an eligible subsitute in this inconculsive election, Faleke is ineligible he was not involved in the primaries he is ONLY A CHOICE OF AN ASPIRANT in an inconculsive election, if Audu had stayed alive for one more week then died on sunday the dec 6th after he been decleared governor elect then automatically Faleke becomes the governor. pls people this is not rocket science stop reasoning like nursery children

Let me first congratulate you on your decision to become self employed it is much more gratifying and rewarding than working for someone, having said that be warned the first two years of setting up can be extremely tasking if you do not plan, prepare and adjust your whole way of life.
you have a decent amount of money 5m is a lot of money so you have the advantages of investing in at least three different kinds of business activity and this will insulate you from the problems of cash flow experienced by people investing in just one kind of business, in short when business/market is slow in one business activity your other businesses will still be bringing in cash, if I were in your shoes I will buy two motorcycles for transportation, you can easily pick up a good used machine for 40k, I know most people are against transportation becos of its associated pitfalls but the fact remains transport is an all season year in year out money machine, it is an hands on business, it will never make you a millionaire but it is low cost and you will always have money in your pocket, this is what you need when you strike out in self employment( transportation begins in two, so whenever one develops fault the other one is still running)
Buy a decent piece of land, something budget in a decent location, this will give you the options to set up any type of business activity ranging from Block making, poultry, fish farming, mechanic shop etc (while you plan what to do just plant corn and vegetable on the land if at the end of the day you do nothing land only appreciate you can resell at a profit).
Open a shop or two depending on what you want to sell if you want to sell bulky heavy stuff than you will need to buy a second hand pickup or a van why? becos if you ask traders dealing in heavy stuff eg cement, agricultural food stuff etc if you ask the trader what is their biggest problem they will tell it is transportation, in the second shop you can import cheap made in china products voltage stabilizers, phone batteries, power banks, good security padlocks, cosmetics etc etc. so my brother the world is in your palm, importation is so easy you can learn it in one day(beware only use a good shipping/courier firm to ferry your products over DO NOT GO FOR CHEAP COMPANIES WITH BAD REPUTATIONS they will frustrate the hell out of you and can wreck your business pls stay away from these useless companies check on NL for clues. finally you have to start recording everything you spend it sounds easy and simple but it is difficult in real life even the ice water you brought you must record, this tool will enable you to plan and budget your money
Good luck
