My experience with this was a little different. Despite the fact that I have a NIN slip, I was still asked to go get state of origin certificate. I had to go back to my state's liaison office in Ikeja then back to Ikoyi.

Likewise me also... The lady at Alausa center insisted that I must provide it in addition to my NIN slip.

I have an interview at Alausa Passport Office, Ikeja. I hope I'll be captured on the same day.

The lady you will meet for an interview likes to give space between them. She will tell you the date to come for capturing after you are done with her. Probably 4-7 days after.

You can try your luck by telling her you really need to proceed to Capturing stage on that same day you finished with her because you urgently need the passport for a scholarship.

No.... Capturing comes after the interview date (collection/verification/attestation of validated documents while also giving you some forms to fill).

From Haruna Ogba Lagos.

Untill March of this year, maximum bill for a month used to be between 9000 and 13000( for 8 room self contains) but like play like play, it started raising month after month since then and Nov bill was 67200. This is approximately 700% increment. This is a big fraud going on from Ikeja Electric. This was never announced to the public.

Even $ did not raise by 700%

I think we really need to speak up to stop this corruption mess. Labour need to know what is really going on. The increment they announced to the publish was peak @ 2% increment.

The worst part of it is that we used to have light by an average of 18 hours per day till like July but now 7-12 hours average light per day.

Good morning my people. I began the fresh passport processing this morning. I chose Alausa. 5 years and 32 page passport.

But the amount I am asked to pay online is 25000. Is this amount for the enhanced passport or still the old one?

Total of 26k paid.

1. Can my NIN slip (not card) alone cover for number 3?. I asked this because I don't have an identification of Origin.

2. Due to money constraint and location, if I choose Alausa center (#17800), will I find the requirements and collection of passport tougher compared to that of Ikoyi (26k)?

3. Where around can I buy the black and white abi black and grey paper file?

4. Will I go with all these files on the day of capturing or must first go and submit them first before the capturing day?

5. What is this DIY?

6. What do they really mean by this warning when trying to apply for a fresh passport?

The Dangers Of Volatility Remain
However, investors need to be aware that although the outlook seems promising surrounding bitcoin, the world of cryptocurrencies has been punctuated by spectacular rallies before devastating losses occur.

According to Fortune’s The Ledger newsletter, “the short answer is that a collapse is all but inevitable — assets that go up 400% are due for a correction.” However, the article noted that a future fall won’t be nearly as severe as before, due to the volume of investment within the currency. The article concludes that this might mean that a future correction could leave bitcoin at around $8,000 — as opposed to $2,000 — signifying a potential area for new investors to wait for before making a purchase.

Today, bitcoin looks stronger than ever, so it’s perfectly in-character for cryptocurrency commentators to be predicting lunar launches to over $300,000 as well as crashes toward $8,000 in the same calendar year.

As the world’s most famous cryptocurrency surpasses its all-time high price, it will enter uncharted territory. But with the backing of high volumes of long-term investors and the support of huge international payments corporations, the bull run of 2020 may well put an end to the nostalgia of 2017’s millionaire-making chaos.

Investment / Re: Life After $20K: Where Will Bitcoin Go After Breaking The All-time High? by tunde4top(m): 8:31am On Dec 17, 2020
Paving The Way To The Moon
“Back in March, I predicted that BTC could reach $50,000 by end-2020 and now there is increasing evidence of that upward trend,” said Antoni Trenchev, co-founder and managing partner at crypto platform Nexo, speaking to Decrypt. “Markets like round numbers — Bitcoin passed $16,000, then $18,000 in a matter of days. The next stop is $20,000,”

“$50,000 by the end of this year is not at all unlikely,” he continued. “This will be a record not driven by frenzy, but by the big, forward-thinking, finance and technology-savvy institutions that will push crypto into the mainstream.”

Could bitcoin be heading to the moon? Some commentators are claiming that the cryptocurrency will hit highs of $300,000 within a year, fuelling speculation that this could be a key moment in bitcoin’s mainstream adoption.

According to a leaked Citibank report, a future bitcoin rally “could potentially peak in December 2021… Suggesting a move as high as $318,000.”

“Improbable though that seems it would only be a low to high rally of 102 times (the weakest rally so far in percentage terms) at a point where the arguments in favour of bitcoin could well be at their most persuasive ever,” the report, entitled “Bitcoin: 21st Century Gold,” claimed.
Investment / Life After $20K: Where Will Bitcoin Go After Breaking The All-time High? by tunde4top(m): 8:18am On Dec 17, 2020
The cryptocurrency landscape has been obsessed with the famous bull run of Winter 2017, but as bitcoin has surpassed its all-time high price of $19,655, the world of crypto may be venturing toward uncharted territory.

There are many factors that went into the mix in creating the right environment for bitcoin to surpass its highs of 2017. The COVID-19 market crash during the spring of 2020 saw BTC fall to around $5,000 momentarily before the prospect of a strong recovery drove fresh investment. Bitcoin’s movement was further bolstered later in the year by the news that PayPal would be accommodating the buying and selling of the cryptocurrency, as well as uncertainty wrought by the U.S. presidential election.

Refering to the first attached picture below.
Source: CoinTelegraph
But what happens next? Bitcoin in recent weeks has recorded a sharp rise in value, gaining as much as 45.8 percent in just one month and crossing an all-time price high, per numerous exchanges. But is the rise sustainable? Or will the world’s most popular digital asset come crashing back down to earth?

Building On Market Capitalization
Significantly, bitcoin’s market capitalization has grown alongside its snowballing price tag. The market cap of bitcoin surpassed its own all-time high mark on November 17, 2020. The growth of bitcoin’s market capitalization has been so astronomical that it’s now surpassed the likes of PayPal, Netflix, Coca-Cola and Disney to sit among the top 18 largest commercial companies in the world.

The larger the market cap, the more sustainable a significant price run is likely to be. This latest boost to bitcoin’s market capitalization has been driven by significant investment from companies like Square and MicroStrategy, as well as the larger levels of accessibility that’s been provided by PayPal making the digital currency available to its 286 million-strong userbase.

In another boost to the appeal of bitcoin, the cryptocurrency’s supply is being squeezed following its halving event earlier in 2020 — this is due to less bitcoin being released as a mining subsidy per block.

Changing Investor Behavior
Following bitcoin’s 2017 rally, a significant crash occurred that the crypto market spent much of the following two years picking itself up from. However, investor behavior today appears to be different to that of 2017.

Referring to the second attached picture below.
Source: CoinDesk
As the chart below indicates, bitcoin has become a far more popular asset for investors on the run-up toward 2020. More wallets that typically buy and hold cryptocurrencies are turning to bitcoin as a crypto safe haven, while fewer cryptocurrency wallets are involved in high magnitudes of trading.

The chart also shows that there’s a correlation between a slowing of holder accumulation and a fall in the value of bitcoin. More long-term investment should mean more stability and sustainability when it comes to growth, and as we can see, there’s no sign of long-term BTC investment slowing down right now.

The present landscape also has a significant number of high-quality and trustworthy crypto exchanges that have emerged since 2017. This has further helped to leverage growth and confidence in newer investors in a way that can help safeguard bitcoin’s long-term trajectory.

The money to me is too small to start any reasonable business or investment. Engaging in any business/investment that demands for your time will also cause some academic distraction.

My advice.
Approach a popular real estate company and buy like a half plot of land with the money in a potential area. Thank me back in few years later.

Religion / Is The New Birth, Salvation Giving Your Life To Christ? by tunde4top(m): 2:06pm On Jan 05, 2020
I Gave my life to Christ !

The above phrase must have been used by me for several years since salvation.

I had affirmed it as what happened as soon as I heard the gospel and believed.

Phrases used by us so frequently depict our understanding of scriptures.

Particularly the new birth is such that our thinking around it usually affects how we see every other issue

E.W.Kenyon( foremost bible teacher of the 20th century ) once said "Every denomination is defined by their view of the new birth .

Is the new birth ,salvation giving your life to Christ .

I searched all through the epistles and four gospels and book of acts and such phrase didn't correlate with what was written at all

John 1:12 KJV
[12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Faith in Christ is receiving not giving to Christ .

This pervades the entire teaching of salvation and the new birth

Acts 8:14 KJV
[14] Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

They received the word not gave to Him or it .

Believing is not giving but receiving

Since salvation and forgiveness of sins aren't rewards ,one can only receive.[/b

Very vital is that the unsaved man had nothing to give .

Titus 3:5-6 KJV
[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

He's pronounced spiritually dead and such had no life to live to be given

Ephesians 2:1 KJV
[1] And you hath he quickened , who were dead in trespasses and sins;

A man raised from the dead didn't give .

He only received.

This is the true meaning of salvation.

Maybe the term ought to have been used for other things ,like service

Just like Jesus used it

Matthew 10:39 KJV
[39] He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Persecution is the subject matter here

Matthew 10:25,28,38 KJV
[25] It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
[28] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
[38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Persecution in ministry work and service ,not salvation or the new birth .

Giving only happens when we serve not to be saved

Paul used the same phrase too

2 Corinthians 8:5 KJV
[5] And this they did , not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

Service.

At salvation and the new birth ,We don't give our lives to Christ .

We receive .God is the only giver here

Romans 8:32 KJV
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

We have nothing to lay claims to here

Romans 4:4-5 KJV
[4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Just like Abraham here .

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Our only action was to take from what God gave .

Hence no boasting about our response .

There's only one response ,it's faith

Romans 3:27 KJV
[27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

We didn't give our lives to be saved .

We receive His and we are saved .

Then we serve Him out of love not to be saved or be kept saved.

Maybe many of us need to shift in our minds ,

Maybe if this seeming little phrase which could easily go unnoticed could be effected to reflect its right use , many would see clearly and more visibly what actually happened ..

Not an exchange of lives ,but a NEW BIRTH.

From death to life

Not what we gave ,but what we received.

You are blessed

Religion / Facts About Christmas by tunde4top(m): 8:07am On Dec 25, 2019
About Christmas

Christmas is about the Incarnation. For the one in marys womb was God who became flesh. He wasnt a mans egg fertilized,He was Gods seed domiciled(Jn1;14).

Isaiah prophesied-Unto us a Son is GIVEN(Is9:7)...He wasnt mary"son who became a son of God,rather He was The Son of God,who took residence in her.

(Jhn1:13)John teaches not born of blood,i.e it wasnt marys or josephs, not born of the will of man,i.e it wasnt from their conception ,nor of the flesh,i.e neither subject to d 1st adam, but of God.

Divinity has found a place in humanity, humanity found a home in divinity, this hypostatic union is called Christ(1Tim3:16).

Can God and man be found in One?

Yes,Christmas is IT!

To save us,he had to be with us.Be like us and be for us.God with us.This isnt just d presence of God in our midst, for Jehovah had been with His people as they saw His presence and He never left them.Emmanuel refers to Gods existence as a man,He is now one of us.

He is with us in our sins, weakness, frailty and dirt.He will be tempted(Heb4:15).Not as God but as man.God cant be tempted(James1:13).He will eat food.Be thirsty.Hungry.Tired.Weak.He will pray,God doesnt pray.He will be surprised(Mark6:6),God doesnt,as He knows all things. He will eventually die!God doesnt die. This is the History of Christmas.

His sufferings were real, not a make believe, but a FACT TO believe.Today at Christmas we look at the Humanity of Divinity in Christ Jesus and see it fufill for us the Divinity in Humanity found in Christ-Jesus(Heb2:6-15/2Cor5:17-19)).

For our Christ has traced our motions. We are in Him Justified,He is in us glorified!Blessed? We win!

You people buying this idea should go and repent. If you are in Christ there is no room for any SIN whatsoever. If you do you are down going to HELL. No two ways to that. What the Bible and teaching of Christ is telling us is you should live the life HE lived. Do not in any way or any circumstance commit any : lie, cheat, fornicate, kill etc.

What the op explained is the true definition of the Gospel of Jesus. Salvation and righteousness can only come after believing in the Gospel of Jesus. It will never come by works because no man has ever done it that way including Abraham and all the prophets. Who are you to earn righteousness by works?

Romans 4: (King James Version)
1. What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

2. For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

3. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

What did Abraham believe?. He believed a message that symbolises the message of the Gospel of Christ that we preach today. That is why we are called the sons of Abraham. The criteria used for Abraham to earn righteousness is what we enjoy in Christ today.

Genesis 15:
5. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Righteousness can never come by works.
Galatian 2:
[16] Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

[21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Romans 3:
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets

22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 10:
[4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

]6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from abovesmiley

Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 4:
[5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

[6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

[7] Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

[8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Philippians 3:9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened and believe the true gospel of Jesus in the undiluted form.

Jesus is lord...... Remain blessed!!!!

Hismasterpiece:

You: Why did God allow His only son to dies for the world's sins?

Me: Because, Love! grin grin

Hallelujah!

Because our God is a just God.
There is what we call "the law of procreation" in Genesis 1 and 2 which states that everything God creates will automatically recreate itself in its own likeness. But when Adam and Eve fell and earned the title of a sinner, they automatically subjected all humanity to that likeness based on the law of procreation.

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

John 3:18 whoever believes not is condemned already.

So before we were born, we already earned the title of a sinner and condenmed/judged to perish. Is that fair to?. Of course no.

So because our God is a fair and just God. He applied the same principle through Jesus.

Romans 5:17
(Good news Translation)
For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:19
(Good news translation)
And just as all people were made sinners as the result of the disobedience of one man, in the same way they will all be put right with God as the result of the obedience of the one man.

(New King James version)
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one begotten only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"

1.Power has been in private hands since 2014 except for transmission.

2.The discos also control the means of funding

3.However, the government sets prices that the discos charges and pays a subsidy to cover the rest, meaning discos cannot make enough of a profit and have had to be bailed out by international agencies.

4.The problem is compounded by high rates of people not paying for power and by government agencies owing money. Discos have a deficit of 1trillion naira in funding.

5.as a result, discos cannot pay Gencos.

6.Govt cannot do much . Shell recently said we need 200bn dollars to fix power. Other estimates put it at 900bn. Our reserves are at 40bn.

7.The best government can do is to allow discos to.set.the prices they see as fit. Discos should also meter every house in Nigeria, and Nigerians too should pay their bills.

8.as a Reslt, funding would rise, and improvements would be made.

It happened for GSM

Government will never give discos the right to set price for the consumers because that makes no sense.

Please don't compare Telecommunication industry to Power industry. They are different in every form of it. There is competition in Telecom industry to begin with. MTN, GLO, ETisalat, Airtel are all fighting for the same set of costomers. You can only give freedom to set price in a competitive environment. That is what brings down the price in the long run.

Discos is different. Only Ikeja electric can operate in Lagos so giving them the power to set price for the consumers will effect nothing positive in the long run because they have no competitors like that of the telecom operators.
