CLASSIC.. GOD BLESS YOUR WISDOM.

TheCar:

You're right.

But I don't think any car owner with his functional and right senses correctly working would tell driver to handle some expenses for his/her car on a weekly rental.

I handle my repairs and at times try to subsidize any payment including car wash (sometimes) my partner incur except for petrol expenses.

I wouldn't take anything less than 35k weekly but wouldn't discouraged anyone collecting below 35k. Different people different stroke. Final decision belongs to the Car Owner not advisers. grin

Kn.eo is on 30k weekly driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla 1.8 Ltr engine whereas some drivers are on 35-37k driving a 2.3L engine 2004/2005 car. Some would say it's Luck, some would say it's favour and some would say it's negotiation skills.

That's why it's essential for new and upcoming drivers to take time first to LEARN from experience drivers before they EARN the badge. Experience drivers should also stop discouraging New and Upcoming drivers.

New and Upcoming drivers aren't threat to you. They wouldn't snatched your partner, new car owners are coming on board so new drivers need to come on board.

We encourage new car owners to come on board so why are people discouraging new drivers from coming on board.

Teach them, grow them, groom them. Chillex.8 is trying his bit although we fight him or diss him on some matters but he never stop grooming new drivers coming on board. He wouldn't support a defaulting driver and wouldn't stop abusing car owners with dead cars.

New drivers should asked questions and you experienced drivers should be kind enough to encourage, support or guide them.

Cheers

I will never do uber, unless its surges 1.3 upward. I'm okay with my normal taxify.... Few trips bigger money... I make minimum of 100k every week, until it drops below 100k. No to uber. I made more than 55k on taxify yesterday and today (bonus of 7,500 inclusive). When you guys flooded uber, uber will remove bonus of 1.1 and back to 25% commission... Then another migration will occur. Every mallam with his kettle.

While you're having the best day, am here having the worst day.

Woke up as usual, used my car remote to open my car.
The car security alarm went off, I tried using my key to put it off it refused. I tried forcing the key into the car key hole, it refused entering
while forcing it the car key broke in the mouth, had to use plyer to remove it after much struggle, I came out, now my whole compound is awake because of the alarm.

Anyway to cut the story short, I finally dealt with it.
Now am online by 8am on taxify no request waited till like 9am no request, drove round my usual spots I get request, still no request.

I requested my self to confirm everything was okay, it came in.
Now I decided to switch to Uber as taxify no get request.
Entered uber now I noticed I have been signed out, tried signing back in, they keep asking me for verification code that has refused dropping on my phone, I tried it about 10x they banned from trying again that should wait for 2hrs to try again, so I google what the problem was.
Saw online that I need to make sure my line is not on Do not disturb mode.
Immediately I called mtn customer care, and the lady representative told me my line was truly on do not disturb mode, so I told her to put it back on, which she did. To cut the story short till now I still can't get the code.

Back to taxify
Went back online got one request after 30min, the lady said we will go to different places see me happy. Now I got to her destination she said her BF refused letting her leave the house, that I should cancel. E remain small make I collect the BF number ginger am.
Now it's already 11am, so I said let me just go and handle my other business then come back by 1pm to chase taxify evening trip.

1pm came back online still no trip, now I noticed my Wi-Fi Ntel is misbehaving, tried my GLO subscribed line inside my phone, something I subscribed last week, I saw I don't have subscription on it, I madt.
Tried using my Accessbank app to sub, the app was misbehaving too, taking so much time to load, then after everything it will not load well to work.
To cut the story short, I have decided to take the day off, I believe it's for my own safty God is in control. grin angry grin grin

taxiappguy:

With this kind of attitude, you already know most places.
There is a proverb that says, a person that is willing to ask, doesn't usually miss his way.
Google is your friend, but Google maps is your absolute best friend in the whole wide world. Google maps is amazing.
It's not 100%, you can rely on Google for 85%-90 of the time.
You can ask your rider for directions 30% of the time. They are usually willing to help. If you choose to ask for directions from your riders, you must be sharp.
Lagos is like life. If you miss your turn, it's not always easy to manouver back on to the correct road. So make sure to be sharp, ask questions before you pass your junction.
Not everywhere is mapped, so try to map in reverse the way to leave the place. Maybe you have to take an individual to his house in an estate that is not mapped on Google at 2 am! The individual knows the way in, so he will direct you. But once you drop him, you are on your own as they say in OYO. Google maps can't help you, and at 2 am you probably wouldn't find anyone to ask. So my friend, as you are entering places, be using your brain to map how to get out of them too.
As you drive more, you start to learn different places, it's just the way our brains are wired. As time goes on, you will rely on the map less and less.
This is how I learnt my city.
Good luck.

Nice One.... Learnt from this... On

You're welcome on onboard.

Your entrance wouldn't affect profit and price.

Nigeria population is 198 million people (according to National Population Commission) and Lagos State population is estimated to be 21 million (as at 2016).

I don't have accurate figures for Uber and taxify in Lagos but am sure (guess) it's not up to 2 million cars on both platforms.

So until the population of cars on Uber and taxify matches the market population, new entrants are always welcome.

But to make money driving smart on the platform, you still need to buy a bottle or two of orijin for the experts driving to share their strategies and techniques with you.

A good knowledge of Lagos roads plus what you learned from them (experience drivers) would make your decision to do this business a smooth and pleasant experience.

Best of luck on the platform.

Haaaaaa.

To be fair, honest and from my perspective (what I observed during Driver recruitment) it might be too much asking a new driver just onboarding the platform for prepaid weekly rental.

Some experienced driver (Not all) could afford to prepay weekly rental (Don’t let the Earnings screenshot deceive you).

Am sure some drivers wouldn’t accept to drive some cars which they currently use if they are prepaying their weekly rental.

A driver who is prepaying his weekly rental can makes demands of the type of vehicle he need for business but with the current postpaid weekly rental, such drivers don’t have a choice than to collect while seeking alternatives.
