Business / 7 Mistakes To Consider Before Buying Website Domain Name by tweetsme(m): 10:13am On Apr 05, 2017
One of the most important elements of your branding is the right choice of domain name. You want something that reflects your company’s name, but also has all of the ‘goldilocks’ qualities of a great name—nothing too long or too confusing or too irrelevant. In order to come up with a domain name that is ‘just right,’ familiarize yourself with these common website pitfalls:

1. Opting for the wrong Top Level Domain (TLD) extension

There are countless different TLDs that you can register your domain name under, with ‘.com’ being among the most popular. And while there is no wrong TLD, it is important that you choose one that is appropriate for your site. For example, if you have a website for a school, a ‘.edu’ TLD is the most appropriate. You may also want to consider registering multiple TLDs. Then you can either create complementary sites (like blogs) to use them for, or you can register the ones that you think will gain a lot of traffic in order to redirect them to your primary URL.

2. Making it lengthy

When you create a domain name, you want your site visitors to be able to easily get there. A lengthy name can hinder those trying to access your site from a touchscreen device like a phone. It can also make it more difficult for site visitors to remember your website URL to revisit in the future. And you may find that it doesn’t look all that appealing on your marketing materials, either. Try to limit yourself to 16 characters.

3. Choosing a name that is similar to another site’s

Try to come up with a website URL that is unique to your site and also reflects what your site is about. Unless you have strong brand recognition and recall, like Google or Amazon, you may want to avoid using an otherwise nondescript URL that might sound like another site entirely. A good example of a company that chose a branded yet discerning URL is Big 5 with www.big5sportinggoods..com. Acknowledging that ‘Big 5’ might sound like another entity (such as First 5 California), they opted for a URL with clarity. Plus, they even registered ‘www.big5.com’ and chose to redirect it to their primary URL.

4. Incorporating characters other than letters

There’s a lot of room for confusion when it comes to communicating website URLs that contain numbers or dashes. You’ll spend considerable time constantly explaining that numbers are either spelled out or typed as numbers, and indicating what kind of dashes go where. So if appropriate for your brand, take a letters-only approach.

5. Making it irrelevant

It can be easy to get off-topic with domain names. Perhaps your business started off selling kitchen appliances but has since expanded to furniture and textiles, and you find yourself continuing to operate under the domain name ‘www.such-and-such-appliances.com’. Or perhaps you went too broad, with a name like ‘www.such-and-such-auto.com,’ when your business specializes in tires. Take care to make it relevant from the start, but rest assured that you can register a new domain name later, if need be.

6. Not considering the different ways your domain name can be read

Some more embarrassing problems that arise with the wrong domain name occur when the URL can be read in ways it shouldn’t be. For example, consider the domain name ‘Jennas-Side.com,’ made famous by the television show, 30 Rock. On paper it might look okay (minus the dash!), but aloud, it sounds pretty bad. So before you commit to a domain name, be sure to read it carefully and say it aloud, first.

7. Making it difficult to spell

If you can avoid it, stay away from words that are difficult to spell for many people (‘occasion’ or ‘amoeba’), are homonyms and therefore difficult to spell (‘piece’ vs. ‘peace’), or have various English spellings for different cultures (America’s ‘color’ vs. Britain’s ‘colour’).

If you have already registered your URL, but discovered that there’s a problem with it or simply think it’s time for an upgrade, the upside is that you aren’t stuck with it. Sure, you will need to take extra measures to maintain your existing return visitors, but it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle unless the name you want has already been registered. The sooner you resolve it, the better!

Politics / Importance Of Trust And Integrity In Political Business by tweetsme(m): 10:17am On Apr 01, 2017
Trust is about reliability and doing the right thing. It's also a big factor that will determine success in your job and your career -- especially in a rough business climate where your value as an employee is closely watched.

Do your colleagues, subordinates or superiors perceive you as trustworthy and honest? How do you perceive them? Trust is a characteristic that builds respect and loyalty, as well as a supportive and safe work environment. Distrust increases tension and negative "on guard" behavior, which can erode the spirit of the team and ultimately productivity.

Below are six steps to build trust in the workplace.

1. Be Honest

The first step in building trust is to be honest.

Tell the truth. Even small lies and twisted truths are still lies.
Share honest information, even if it's to your disadvantage.
Don't steal -- on expense reports, from the supply cabinet or your colleagues.
2. Use Good Judgment

The second step is to know what information to share, when to share it and when not to share it.

Protect employee's personal information and company or competitors' proprietary information as if it were your own.
Think twice before sharing a blunt, unsolicited judgment. Extreme honesty may hurt the recipient, ironically destroying trust and the safe environment.
Don't expect apologies to erase your wrongdoings. Apologies might earn a forgive, but perhaps not a forget.
Avoid "just between us" secret conversations unless necessary to the benefit of the company.
3. Be Consistent

The third step is to be consistent in words and behaviors. It's not enough to be trustworthy only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Show up -- every day and on time -- and stay at least the required hours.
Do the work; meet or exceed the job description and company standards.
Do what you say you will do. Fulfill your promises.
4. Be Honest in Nonverbal Communications

Body language experts tell us that more than half of communications' impact is in nonverbal communications. To increase trust through body language:

Look others in the eye with comfortable and direct eye contact.
Exhibit open body language with: 1) open arms versus closed across the chest or hands clasped together, 2) hands kept in sight (not behind you or in your pockets) and open (not in a fist), and 3) legs uncrossed with feet flat on the floor, while seated.
5. Have a Mutually Beneficial Attitude

Blatant self-serving agendas may cast doubt on one's trustworthiness. In reality, everyone has self-serving agendas, but it is the level of harm to others that determines the level of trust in that person. To increase trust:

Avoid me, me, me. Genuinely care about others and promote we, we, we.
Nurture mutually beneficial relationships with open communications.
Willingly accept information and constructive critique.
6. For the Leaders

Trusted leaders are sorely needed. Leaders should be able to:

Ask the hard questions to build and protect the company.
Listen and consider others' ideas with an open mind.
Focus on issues and solutions rather than personalities.
Set the example, by being responsible and accountable.

I don't have anger issue and those who are close to me knows this. I am the most jovial person you will ever find around. You came here with your mischief and antic, expecting me to smile and when you saw I didn't take lightly, you are quick twist it and say I have anger issue as though there is anyone whom will smile after receiving a dirty slap in the face.

Now let me tell you this. I don't take nonsense. I don't throw punch first. If you throw a punch, be ready get one back in return. Tit for tat.. that's me. I don't go about looking for trouble.

I created this thread, I didn't post on your thread. The reason why I didn't respond to you is because you have known me for LONG and you ask me for proof as if I would lie about something like this.

You talk about not having anything against someone where you ended your last post the way you did as if I am a liar, a scammer, not to be trusted and most importantly, it is not POSSIBLE for someone like me to make those figures.

Let me tell you what you don't even know, I lost nothing less that $10,000 worth of opportunities in domaining last year due to buhari policies.

I was looking at HomesPrint.com, it clicked every metrics and parameters, my guts was in support but my second thoughts was that it could go too high. And so I didn't bid. That domain sold for $4500 later a month later.

I was looking at SolarEnergie.com and I did bid but it went too high again. That one sold for 2500$ after 2 Months

There were several cases like that.

You said Ymodulus wannabe and God knows what you mean by that which is I am just claiming what I am not cos u feel I can't make such money. Things like this only motivate me and nothing else cos I always strive to proof people wrong when they take your position or stance towards me.

You say "Imaginary Figures", "Ymodulus Wannabe" I won't forget that.

Things are happening and I know NitinDomains Crack more figures than that... he just completed over 15k$ between December and January.

The Ymodulus you are using yardstick or benchmark as if you worship him like a god, is it crime if it is OXCUBA wannabe... oh I forgot, you don't even believe you can make more than Ymodulus or be better, little wonder you idolise him.

Business / Naira Closes at #390 to $1 by tweetsme(m): 5:14pm On Mar 31, 2017
The naira has continued its downward trend, falling further to 390 to a dollar as against its 385 stand at the close of business on Thursday.

Also, the nation’s foreign reserves took a break from its upward journey, losing about $52 million to stand $30.296 billion from $30.348 billion.

The liquid amount in the reserves is about $29.6 billion and about $674 million being blocked.

The foreign reserves hit $30 billion weeks back – for the second time since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power in May 2015, and reached its highest point since October 2015.

The naira, which closed at 410 to the euro on Thursday, now trades at 415 to the same currency and at 485 to the British pound as against its last closing price of 470.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has made efforts to salvage the situation of the naira by easing foreign exchange policies thus providing forex to cater for tuition, travel and medical expenses.

Since the announcement, the CBN has pumped more than $2 billion into the market to ensure convergence of all segments of the market.

On Thursday, the apex bank announced that it had increased the foreign exchange amount to be sold to bureau de change operators to $10,000 per week from the initial $8,000.

It also said that it would announce new rate for BDCs.

Oga Professor, all countries consume products from other nations.....Let me school you a bit (because you are feeling proud like person wey sabi something).

Currency strength is dependent on balance of trade. Now our main export commodity has been crude oil and it provided 90% of our balance in trade and thus controlled the value of our currency. And it was from the profits of this trade the import ed good are purchased.

Since our major export lost its value (that is started trading at a low cost), the options in getting more foreign exchange to balance our trade
-Increase crude output (unfortunately not possible because our output is dependent on Opec/stability in the niger delta region
-increase crude cost (not possible because cost is bench marked by OPEC and macro economics of demand and supply)
-Increase production of other foreign earners (that is a long term process which has kicked off)
-Reduce importation of foreign goods (A ban was placed, but smuggling increased. This will only finally work if the infrastructure for quality locally made goods is set in place. this is also a long term process, which has gradually kicked off)

However not that all this is still about, reducing pressure on currency demand and balance of trade.

CBN putting up dollar into the system is not something new, this is the way it has always worked....Foreign goods/services have always been purchased/paid for in dollars.....

CBN is only ensuring that its available for the various uses, and they are only more apt to do that now, because crude oil prices have gone up and production has gone up......They need to stabilize the market to reduce the current inflation and attar ct investors back. Once this is done, they can then continue with the long term plans of further improving our balance of trade by encouraging local production and export of other goods...

we are still saying the same thing my friend. Naira issue is as result of Nigeria over dependent on crude oil as the main source of income.

Naira will depreciate to 500 to $1 due to the recent move by CBN. You cannot just pump money into the market hoping to sustain the local currency. CBN does not produce Dollars. Unless Nigeria production increase, Naira will continue to depreciate no matter the policy. Any one made is short term, it won't last.

#Who_Cursed_Southerners?

In this Nigeria, an average Southerner is a weakling. A born coward with serious complex issues. A fool and an idiot. A slave. A typical example of a butterfly who thinks himself a bird. But this is not even the problem. The biggest problem is, he doesn't even realise he is any of those things.

The only thing an average Southerner is good at is blowing high sounding grammar and acquiring degrees upon degrees but when it comes to things that matter most, he goes to slumber.

An average Southerner has this twisted mindset that the best way to be seen as a patriotic and detribalised Nigerian is by degrading, shaming and disparaging his own tribe for no just cause.

Abacha stole this country blind, such that 20 years after, his loot is still being returned to the country. But in spite of this, people like Buhari publicly swore that he (Abacha) stole nothing. But to an average Southern idiot, Jonathan's 5 year rule is the reason we have no fuel, no light, no good educational system, no nothing! Jonathan is the worst thief in Nigeria's history. IBB, Abdulsalam and even Buhari who was accused of stealing billions of dollars as PTF boss were all saints. Why? Because they are Northerners.

Was it not a southern he-goat named Obasanjo who publicly accused Jonathan of training snipers in Pyongyang (North Korea) ahead of last year's election?? He made the unfounded allegation just to please his masters upnorth. Now that we have the highest figure of senseless deaths of civilians in the hands of both state and non state actors under a Northern president Buhari, have you read any letter from OBJ??

When Shiites were massacred in Zaria, it took less than 48 hours for Chidi Odinkalu of the National Human Right Commission to establish a commission of inquiry and summon the army chief but when unarmed IPOB members praying in a school field in Aba were murdered by the security agents, did you hear even a loosely worded condemnation from Chidi Odinkalu??

Check out the list of those asking that Fayose to be tried for treason for writing to the Chinese govt over Buhari's $2 loan, they are 80% southerners. And most of them have not even read the said Fayose letter at least to know the reasons Fayose adduced in the said letter. These are the same fools who kept mum when Sango Abdullahi, Sani Kaita and some so called Northern elders publicly threatened to make the country ungovernable if power wasn't returned to the North. When Buhari made his 'dogs and baboon' speech and directly caused the death of southern youth corpers, these morons kept mum.

With all the numberless killing of civilians under this regime and its open support for the genocide the world fourth deadliest terror group (the Fulani militant) has continue to visit on Nigerians, have these highly educated southerners bothered to write a strongly worded petition to the ICC just like Nyako, El-rufai and other northerners did to Jonathan??

These southern fools will gleefully yell 'Kanu should rot in jail, he was preaching hate on radio Biafra!' But these clowns maintained sealed lips over the hateful and inciting broadcast by 'Radio Chanji' and Arewa Radio upNorth. Such is the degree of the soulless hypocrisy of these southern senseless hypocrites.

These nitwits were on rooftops telling us how incompetent and corrupt Jonathan was and how his removal was a patriotic duty. Today, things have all gone worse under Buhari and you would think that these southern imbeciles would be at the forefront calling for Buhari's resignation but no! They are the ones defending the Daura born ex-soldier even against the worse things for which they crucified Jonathan then.

Now I know why Jonathan appeared weak as president and spent his 5 year term trying to please the North.

He knew he had nobody behind him. He knew that we Southerners are weaklings only good at blowing high sounding but empty grammar.

These 'efulefu' southerners will never question why Buhari has never condemned the murderous activities of his fulani kinsmen but these same 'anumpamas' will read this post and quickly tag me a bigot.

Slaves who think themselves masters!!

In order news see Mynd44 though
You just blew everything wide open. Southern Nigeria really are slaves who defend the Northerners against the Southerners. GOD BLESS YOU.
