Biko pls just visit the hospital... morning sickness don't just stop a day it takes little by little then it stop and also it is too early for it to stop if u said u are just 8 weeks gone and that if u are really sure u are having morning sickness there is no way it stop dat soon

I did it at Lagoon Ikeja. I did not pay any money. I used my HMO for the cerclage procedure, drugs, Injections and others things that was offered.

But, my second hospital said 200k. I decided to use lagoon since money will not be required due to my HMO package

Wow 200k that's a big money

I was discharge yesterday evening. The cerclage procedure was successful and the severe back pain is not painful as usual.The back pain is going gradually.

The following drugs was given to me after my discharge yesterday:

1)Cyclogest(At night through anus)
2)Pregnacare plus(Once Daily)
3)Paracetamol 500mg(two to be taken three times daily)
4)Vasoprin(Once daily)
5)Drazepam 5mg(At night)
6)Calcium Lactate 300mg(One to be taken two times daily)
7)Metronidazole 200mg(two to be taken three times daily)
8.) Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg(One to be taken two times daily)

I will say u add Ori ...just use to massage ur waist..


I don't know about those drugs except for pregnant care and paracetamol

I only told you i did it with my last pregnancy as prescribed by a consultant Ob/Gyn since she's asking for clarification. Its from my own experience i replied. Not forcing her to go and do it, it her choice and that's why i added the price just so she can weigh her options herself.

So you think if it is totally dangerous to your baby, doctor will still allow people go through it? Am sure that reduced ray baby will be "exposed to" isn't beyond the threshold.

I have someone who was asked to do it, it should her pelvis was inadequate and at the end of the day labour came before the elective cs date and gave birth thru V.D so what?

This x-ray u may not feel the impact on ur child now but later they will start manifesting .


Even as an adult they advised that u don't do x-ray more than one time in ur life time.

Mama pls suspend that folic acid for now. I don't get this 400mg. The content might be too much for a pregnant woman

The drug is ok ...it says 400mcg not 400mg. Check the content well

400mcg is equal to 1mg of folic acid


Mg is higher than mcg


And there is no folic acid anywhere that is more than 5mg..


I think she should increase her dose to 5mg...u can look for emzor folic .....400mcg is 4 like those planning to get pregnant...once u become pregnant u increase the dose to 5 mg

I'm presently 6 weeks and 4 days gone. Went to the hospital last week but was told to come back when i'm 12 weeks to start ante natal. Nothing was carried out on me, is this the norm? When i told the doci was using folic acid, he told me to stop until they give me their prescribed drugs. I was given only PCM when i complained of weakness and body pain.
I need to know if all these are normal. I presently feel severe weakness and headache and i don't have appetite most times, i just eat to fill my stomach. Is there anything i can do or any drugs i can start taking to relieve me of how i feel?

Biko change ur hospital, this hospital just gave u expo on how they operate


Any woman that has reach d child bearing age must start taking at least 400mcg of folic acid...don't even miss that important drugs.

Secondly u can register for antenatal as early as u want if u are having high risk pregnancy

Thirdly change ur hospital the earlier d best

Maam's abeg help me put mouth, what normally makes someone body shake sometimes if you don't eat on time during pregnancy. I don't always feel hungry but after eating the shaking will stop. Did anyone experience the same?

U have to b eating very well oooo ...like me I don't usually have appetite in d morning until is 10 to 11 o clock then I will start eating like lion.

If u don't feel like eating make sure u eat at least one fruit in morning every day..

Well vagina ultrasounds to my knowledge are very safe and are important for those who need to check their cervix, to treat/avoid complications. I had some slight bleeding few weeks ago and I had two vagina ultrasound to check my cervix and some other things to see if everything was fine, and now I’m having no issues and my cervix is still very long. I’ve never heard about vagina ultrasounds making the cervix soft though but I guess it depends on your doctor.

It does ....and also all human reproductive system are not d same, u might have extra strong cervix.

April Mama's has anyone start feeling baby's kick yet, because I am yet to feel it.


Also my last scan show I have anterior placenta which means that the placenta is in front of my tummy which will be hard for me to feel d kick yet

Please I beg put mouth in this my matter. I'm 18 weeks.

Went to see the Dr this morning. After every every, we did scan and I saw my LO. I'm always happy doing scan because I enjoy the view.

Then Dr decided to do a transvaginal scan to check the cervix length. We then saw that the middle of the cervix was open, like a canal and with fluid. Yes the inner and the outer parts were closed but the middle was open. Even the Dr was confused. He said the liquid might drain and the cervix might close but he can't trust it as it might open again. So he's suggesting a cerclage. I felt so bad because he checked the cervix about 5 weeks ago and it was ok.

I was just crying like a baby. I don't know what to make out of this. I feel so down. Hubby travelled and I haven't told him yet. I'm so heartbroken. I was just rocking my bump a few days ago now this?

Please has anyone had such an experience? What could have caused it? Maybe it's the hormones but I can't stop crying

There is something I remembered...

Trans viginal scan is not good to be doing constantly, it makes cervix to b soft. Is only advisable to do it during the early stage, so always go with abdominal scan for the safety of ur baby...

The itches you feel may most likely be as a result of skin stretching and expansion of the boobs and womb. Please avoid the temptation of scratching them because it will result into ugly looking stretch marks. It is important that you use moisturizers regularly. Shea butter (ori), olive oil, etc will come in very useful. Hope this helps.

I heard applying oil, whether coconut, ori or olive oil helps to calm the scratch. I also heard that when you scratch it, stretchmarks appear, don't know how true that is though.

I've taken mine using my HMO hospital

I use isolo general hospital which is federal and they said u have to b 4 months and above

I have a question mamas with experience, I am due for the last dose of the Tatanus Injection in 2 weeks. I am currently 14 weeks. Can I go ahead and take it since I will be 16weeks by then. I just want to take it and be done with this tatanus injection ish.

Ps: i haven't started antenatal, but will start soon if not i should have just asked the doctor. But if I don't get any info here, I will have to drag my lazy self to the hospital to make enquiries.
