Boss2411: You messed everything up when you used school account. They are assuming your school will sponsor you and they might have seen enough funding in the schools account. Well all hope is not lost, send a pm to GboyegaD, so he can help you construct a good write up that you can send to them. Am available to help too. 3 Likes |

Boss2411: Well you shouldn't have rushed to use your school account rather ask for advise like you are doing now, on how to get financial aid from the school. Now, Harvard might think your school is sponsoring you. GboyegaD asked you should private message him so he can assist you in contacting the school for financial aid. 2 Likes |

BikeMan: Well i responded without knowing Harvard offers full ride scholarship for all, if your family earns under 65,000$ and i didn't advised him to throw it away. He asked if he can work & study to pay the tuition fees and i suggested he look for schools that can offer full ride scholarship if he can't get sponsor. Anyway, Lagosismyhome has advised him properly. 2 Likes |

7rewards: Someone has suggested he mail the school. But if there is no financial aid from the school for him, what's your advise? Kill himself on top bills or take up huge loan? Harvard isn't the only top school in USA. There are many others that will offer him full ride scholarship. He is brilliant and with his grade that got him into Harvard, he will definitely get full scholarship from other schools if nothing comes from Harvard. My advise is against attending the school without any form of assistance as he can't foot the bills alone by working and studying. 4 Likes |

Boss2411: Falling out of status means you are no longer in school and illegal in the USA. Harvard school fees is very expensive and it's not what you can work and pay. Please search for schools that will give you scholarship if you can't get a sponsor to Harvard university. 2 Likes |

SOJ2019: Well, If am you, I will avoid schools under ACICS as their accreditation were revoked in 2016 and later reinstated temporarily in April 2018. Students going to the embassy with those schools might get visa refusal as ACICS recognition isn't in full force yet. Here is a link to know schools under ACICS : http://personify.acics.org/ACICSMemberDirectory.aspx Some of the popular ones used by Nigerians are: 1. iGlobal University 2. Virginia International University 3. California Miramar University 4. Northwestern Polytechnic University 5. Bryan University 6. Lincoln University, CA 7. Colorado Heights University 8. Stratford University 9. Pacific Institute of Technology 10. University of North America 11. Texas Health and Science University Here is the announcement of Department of Education on this issue. https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/2016/12/acics-loss-of-accreditation-what-it-means-for-schools-and-international-students My advise is for students is to avoid schools under ACICS until it's fully recognised by the U.S Department of Education 2 Likes 1 Share |
