I won't stress this issue much. What I find absurb is the fact that you fail to see the key word in that whole paragraph.
In my opinion, If you have read my post without the intention to find fault in it you would have noticed I said "most" not "all". And as someone pointed out, I used the word "smart" and not "intelligent". It is a known fact that immigrants made America what it is today and that trend is still visible today.
Moreover, it was my opinion and the message I was trying to pass was clearly sent. This is a public and faceless forum, you don't need to attack every post with dagger and sword just to feel accomplished.
And you skillfully chose to highlight just the part you want from a post of about 5 paragraphs and left out my disclaimer footnote at the end of the post. That's how we pass the wrong message.
This is still my opinion. Live and let others live.
warm regards Using "most" is kind of derogatory. You would have used the word "some". By most you are referring to majority of Americans which is what he was trying to correct you. If most are not smart, why are we going there to learn from them? In all, I got your point though. 5 Likes |

dllenzee: Lagos or Abuja.... Which one is better for interview? Please I need this advice... Cos Most people I see their testimonies here went to Abuja and Somebody told me before that go to Lagos. Now confused They are same. Go where ever is closer to you. Lagos has more crowd, so the V.O at Lagos embassy might rush to meet up with the numbers on queue. |

Electricboy: please I have a question to ask....
if I write the upcoming SATs...and I happen to pass well...that means I will get a full scholarship depending on the university....does it mean that I will still have to get a sponsor or what .. please I don't get it..... Full scholarship most times covers only the tuition fees and not your living expenses. So you will still need a sponsor that will cater for your living expenses. |

ubigurl: Good morning all, I'm new to this group and hope to school in the USA but I'm a bit confused on the course to study but I am looking at any course related to computer science but I had my first degree in chemistry and GPA was quite low about 2.3/5.0 I don't if it's OK? Please I also need suggestions of universities in the USA that is best to study this course. I am married with kids that are us citizens but the thing is my husband will be my sponsor but doesn't want to relocate just yet because of work so it's me and the kids I dont even know how we will both cope but I need to go and study and better myself I need to know I'm not alone. We don't have any state in mind and we don't really have families in d state. Hoping to go before September, what are the steps to take? What should I consider before applying? Please help me and don't mind my long write up?
Hmmmm. I will advise you maintain same field so you can secure your visa easily. You can always switch when you get to USA. Convincing the V.O about switching from Chemistry to Computer Science, might not be an easy task. My one cent though. 3 Likes |

ConfirmD: Please i know this is shameful and doesn't give a good impression about me but I need the right answers in order to know the next step to take. I got admitted in Fall 2018 but i had a project at hand so I deferred to September 2019 after getting my i20. In November, i requested for a new i20 and chose the option where I won't have to pay for courier. I eventually got it a few days to my interview and entirely forgot to sign the i20. As expected I was rejected and I just remembered the unsigned part and i now understand why i was rejected on grounds of section 214B. Although the VO didn't point this out but it is likely down to the unsigned i20.
My question is can I reapply for a student visa in the future and hope this will not result to any ban or stigmatization?
Please..... i just want to know if i can reapply again. Not signing your i20 is not the reason you were denied. 4 Likes |

Well, people are still getting visa irrespective of any new policy. 3 Likes |

An F-1 student visa can be issued up to 120 days in advance of your course of study start date, although you cannot enter until 30days before start date . meaning you can apply for visa only after Sunday, 21 April 2019 for that start date .
however it is not by applying , denied 4 times then you need to evaluate your whole application and see if something can be done better or improved upon . Yes. Also, there is no guarantee he will get a date between 22nd and 25th of April since his sevis expires 25th of April. He can keep trying from now and see if he gets a date. |

Ans. MUM run a block system where I will be taking a course/month. Total of 8 courses on campus while I take 3 during my curriculum practical training off campus.
When VO: asks you father's job. Ur response shouldn't be just his company name and position.
He is Ass. Manager in XYZ Lagos with annual income of not less than $5k/annum.
They are interested in his financial capability to sponsor ur studies not just where he works.
Bro alot of flops in the ways u responded to their questions.

So I am not really sure anything can change again except one of the schools I applied to for PhD give me tuition waiver plus stipend
Well ... retry again. Hopefully you get it this time. 1 Like |

I'm not seeing the option to book another appointment on my CGI dashboard, is it because of my fresh denial? Don't reapply so soon if nothing has really changed in your application. |

CuteRedd: @ubah1 sorry dont know why i cant quote you Anyways, need to know because some people literally have 0 cash for school and would have to depend on GA through school.
While others have some money and can make do with partial funding. There are different types of funding (scholarships, grants etc) Why i asked this is because this would be a key driver in her search for schools because some schools don't offer full funding while others do.
That's 100% true. I don't know why you can't quote me, Can you quote others? |

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning
VO: your passport and I-20 pls
Me: I obliged, I pass it to her.
VO: where are u going to
Me: I'm going to MUM at Fairfield Iowa for my Graduate Degree in computer science.
VO: was typing

Me: my undergraduate lecturer told me about the school, so I went to the sch website to make more enquire and I found out that their cause content it's align with what I want.
VO: continue typing
VO: how many schools did u applied to
Me: 3 schools, namely California state university, Merrimack college and Was stammering before I finally said Felician university
VO: what are the courses you going to do there during ur studies.
Me: software engineering, Big data, parallel programming , Database management systems, Advance software development patterns n framework (VO cuts in).
VO : continue typing
VO: what's the total unit for your course in first semester. (I really didn't get this question well cause I didn't put the units into consideration and i don't know if she meant the unit for the duration of the program).
Me : 12 units ( I messed up here).
VO: was just typing
VO: what do u do
Me: I work as an IT support staff with xyz company
VO: do u do any standardize test?

You were not prepared, that's all I can see here. You didn't even know the total unit of courses you are going to take. Research more about your school and your course, then refire. 4 Likes |

CuteRedd: well would give him the benefit of the doubt since he never said that he intended to lie in his Canadian interview. He said he forgot, it would be unfair to assume otherwise since we can't prove it. That he didn't read the question well while picking an answer is understandable. I won't blame him on that, it can happen to anybody but saying he forgot his previous visa refusal, I find that hard to believe. 3 Likes |

CuteRedd: cmon, calm down and read his post again. Also, that assumption is reaching! You really can't draw that conclusion from what he posted here.
He said he replied No when asked the question. Now he is explaining the reason he replied no due to the fact that he thought the question was referring to canada only and he also forgot that he even applied to US for visa. These things happen.. Coupled with anxiety and inexperience I guess he stood no chance. He won't like the blame to be put on him. He already made the mistake and we understand that. Saying, he forgot that he even applied to USA is cunning like the other guy said. 3 Likes |

Now you’re contradicting yourself. You said you thought the question was only referring to Canada . Then again you said you totally forgot that you have ever applied for a non-immigrant visa to US , meaning if you even understood the question very well in the first place you would have still answered “No” cos as you claimed in that second part that you totally forgot bla bla bla . Even though idk you , I can conclude now from your own posts that you’re cunning. That’s probably what the VO noticed too . The truth is that he didn't know that Canada shares information with USA, that's why he made the costly mistake and thought that they won't know about his USA visa denial. 3 Likes |
