Health / Re: Nigerian Air Force Female Officer Commits Suicide In Lagos Military Base by udumosam23(m): 9:01am On Jun 12, 2023
nairalanda1:

That's why the case must be investigated thoroughly.

A similar thing happened in an American military base. Investigation opened a big can of worms....let's just say heads rolled.

Forget it, heads doesn't roll here in Nigeria. Once investigations reveals the culprit behind the incident is a more senior officer especially a Northerner, the case will die a natural death.
Politics / Re: Dangote's Fuel Monopoly Risks Soaring Petrol Prices - Joe Ajaero by udumosam23(m): 7:10am On Jun 05, 2023
nairalanda1:
Well, considering that 20 other refining licences were issued the question is, why didn't the other refining licences start work?

The cold reason is because subsidy meant that there won't be profits made from selling the petrol refined at any refinery. It is the main reason why we lost all our NNPC refineries...because we were cutting corners to keep costs low....and by extension subsidy costs low.

Dangote was the only one who took a risk. And he got loans from the banks to do so...because the banks know that in case of failure, they would just take over his businesses and pay themselves their money back. Simple.

The cold fact is that keeping petrol at a cost below the production price is why most of the refinery licence owners...except for the one in Edo, the BUA refinery and a few others, did not start work,

Hopefully, things will change with the refinery coming up.

There are above 40 modular refineries in Nigeria. What stops the govt from licencing all, deregulating the price and allow for competition?

Borders were closed to force Nigerians produce locally what they consume, why not implement same for crude?
Politics / Re: Ayade Schools Dr. Abati On Live TV by udumosam23(m): 2:14pm On May 20, 2023
Ayade is sound and thoughtful. Maybe has good visions for the state. But truth is that he failed.

I just like listening to him. This interview is thought provoking, he still lies all through.
Politics / Re: Details You Did Not Know About The Ekweremadu Case By Emeka Ugwuonye by udumosam23(m): 12:14am On May 07, 2023
Gajagojo:

Are we to believe that
That the boy believed
He wou!d go to the UK
Donate a kidney for
whatever payment
And return to Nigeria quietly

I am.trying to understand the permutations of what he might have believed
Or been made to believe
The deal.was

Boy agreed to kidney donation before he was taken to the UK. He was promised a good life in the UK possibly education.

Things however went south and the deal couldn't fly which wasn't his fault. He was then compensated with a meagre sum and arrangement commenced for his return.

Boy refused and preferred to stay in the UK. His insistence didn't sink well with the Ekweremadu. So, they locked him up in a room and starve him to force him to comply to returning to Nigeria.

Boy escaped from the room and reported self to the nearest police station at such a way he'll be sure he isn't send back to Nigeria.

I'm sure he was guided on what to say or what to do too. But I still blame the Ekweremadus for lack of kindness. I for one would've first made that boy feel at home and give him a hope at least for willing to sacrifice.
Politics / Re: Details You Did Not Know About The Ekweremadu Case By Emeka Ugwuonye by udumosam23(m): 12:53pm On May 06, 2023
GeneralPula:
For instance, it was at the police station that they asked him if he was paid money and he said yes he was paid N270,000. When the police checked the WhatsApp chats between Ekweremadu and Dr. Obeta they realized that Ekweremadu actually paid 4.5 million for Obeta to pay to David. But Obeta only paid David N270,000 and pocketed the rest.

Imagine this. Why would the Dr offered the boy 270k? Both 4.5m & 270k are useless! A kidney is nothing less than 35M !

They attempted to Jonze the Boy & he fought back! Nah real Guy he be!

Boy was not even concerned about the money so to say. His only wish was to stay in the UK. Rather than grant his wish for the sacrifice he was willing to make, they choose to force him to return.

Guy was like, I'll rather die here. So he improvised after they've starved him dirty.

This people are toiling with our emotions. Let it be made clear that the Nigerian youths are the ones contesting this election and challenging it through Obi.

It is for us a due process of taking back our country from corrupt and evil politicians. If it is not working through this method, then do not blame us for applying what we know best.

I got excited seeing Sowore standing next to Obi. I'll honestly like them to walk together. Obi, Datti, Sowore, Osinbajo, Duke, Sanusi, Kwankwaso are all people who can give this Nation a face-lift.
Politics / Re: CBN Releases Video Of Bank In Ekiti Hoarding N6million Amidst Cash Scarcity (VID by udumosam23(m): 9:33am On Feb 06, 2023
CBN just make the cash available. Effect the withdrawal limits and set perimeters for effective monitoring.

It's not difficult after all.

- give banks enough money. Monitor withdrawals both from ATM and OTC to ensure compliance with policy.

- mandate banks to engage their POS agents. They're the ones to deliver to rural areas.

- Recruit more cash swap agents and send them directly across all banks, they can also function as your monitors b/w the banks and POS agents to ensure strict compliance.
Politics / Re: The Arrogance Of The Hausa Fulani Is Fed By Other Tribes by udumosam23(m): 8:19pm On Feb 01, 2023
Many are yet to see it that all this unnecessary policy is to impede Tinibu's chances in other to give Atiku an advantage. It's all Northern conspiracy to continue to hold to power.

I expect Tinubu to make a sacrifice at this point. Sacrifice his ambition for the southern unity. Let's give this northern charlatans a run once and for all.

It will be a win win for him after all. He will retire happily. He will be more famous and imprints his name in the history of Nigeria as a man who United the South.

Just one more anointing against his ambition will do the magic.
Business / Re: Banks Will Accept Old Naira Notes After Deadline - Emefiele by udumosam23(m): 3:04pm On Jan 31, 2023
Dreal1247:
What is the meaning of this statement? We need further explanation.

It means, the CBN by the directives of the president, will periodically open a window of 5-10 days for people stuck with old cash to deposit or swap with the new cash. Only the new cash officially remains a legal tender after the deadline.

This also means, the old note will be like foreign currency, you can't use it to to buy a thing until it's been changed either from the bank or official vendors.
Politics / Re: Which Of These Banks Would You Invest “Your Inherited Fixed Money” by udumosam23(m): 3:29pm On Jan 30, 2023
In this premise, I'll move my money to bank A. Owing to experience and confidence. I wouldn't bank my money in a new generation bank.

But I'll still vote Obi.
Politics / Re: CBN Extends Deadline For Old Naira Notes To February 10 by udumosam23(m): 2:17pm On Jan 29, 2023
Padipadi:
Buhari's has no ball. Common sense suppose tell him he's to give 6 months notice ahead for the new notes to be in full circulation. If he did the policy in order to curb politicians, then it has failed with the extension.
I just don't like a man that pretends to be good but is very bad!
At the end, people ll hate APC more cos the common man has nothing more to go and change in the bank.
The looters has 10 more days to loot/exchange old notes. So...I disagree with the president on this extension. If I m in his shoes, I would v implemented this policy since early last year and give 6 months maximum notice with eagles eyes to watch who's exchanging huge cash. I go catch lots of people and ask where they saw huge cash to exchange.

Guy, allow them to bring in all the cash first naa. Let us just get the monies in the bank first. Then the questioning can come in latter. I'm sure EFCC and other security departments are warming up. The number of cases that will come up after this will amaze you.

Honestly, even if Obi isn't in the poll. I would either not vote at all, or vote for Sowore if I must.

Both APC and PDP are a senseless option.

Politics / Re: Buhari: Those Who Called Me Jubril Of Sudan Mischievous by udumosam23(m): 3:46pm On Dec 24, 2022
MandelaLives:
As for me, every day, I have more reasons to believe that the person running Nigeria now is NOT Buhari. See some reasons I have for saying so:

1. Why would a woman whose husband is truly the President of a country, leave that country and go live in another country for years? It looks like she couldn't take it. Then, the cabal took years to convince her to return and save them the embarrassment.

2. What did Tinubu mean when he said that if the APC ticket eluded him, he would let the cat out of the bag? Why did they allow him to have the ticket after the threat? Are they hiding something?

3. The level of corruption in this government is so much that I can't imagine the true Buhari allowing it.

Then,

Looks like Tinubu has forgotten he bought the ticket he's running on and that it shows he lacks INTEGRITY. Meanwhile, I want to see the unedited video where he said this. I need to check something.

Honestly my thoughts has been running lately as regards this issue.

The present crises with the CBN governor has made it so obvious.
The accusation of the CBN governors involvement in sponsoring terrorism is a direct indictment to the office of the presidency, especially owing to the fact they've been seen together till recently.

In all the controversies going on, there is no that executive sting. One is out in the media crying the president has set a committee to investigate, another is trying to get an order from the court.

The whole scene makes the president's office irrelevant.
