I cant believe that this is happening in The richest state in the country, The internally generated revenue from lagos tax payers alone is more than the GDP of 80 countries, when you add the allocation from the Federal govt they have more money than any of the 31 states can dream of yet these is the kind of schools the govt. sends its tax payers children to? What could any one possibly learn from such a dirty and unkempt environment?

I bet Fashola's kids dont go to schools like that? and the house the state govt. built for tinubus dog looks a hundred time better, Politicians like Fashola and tinubu need to be retired by the taxpayers vote in 2015, This kind of infrastructural rot cannot continue in this 21st century

NIGERIA IS OUT OF AFCON 2014, The Eagles tried their best but it wasn't good enough, now we have to regroup and re-strategise for the future of the SE.

At least we did not lose to SA, But they did stop us from going to AFCON.
The Eagles squad did not look that they came to play, they wasted the whole First half.

This stadium is an architectural masterpiece that every Nigerian should be glad to pay money to watch a match here, it promises and experience like no other stadium in Nigeria or west africa, for its Uncommon facade whose lighting pierces the dark tropical nights of Akwa Ibom creating a poetic spectacle, to the inside of the stadium with a green turf thats reminiscent of the famous American field of dreams, the floodlights shinning down from the ceiling of the stadium creating an air of eternal daylight.
The Animated Uyo fans, spurned out of the football crazy culture in Nigeria, who had waited for eternity for their Nest of Champions finally getting their wishes, and ready to relish in every moment they get to be in there cheering for their teams and good football.

If you haven't been in the stadium its time to make your plans to attend a game at the nest of champions its an experience you will never forget in a hurry, A world class facility that Nigerians only experienced when they travel abroad or on TV has manifested itself in Uyo, Avail yourself and family an opportunity of this once in a lifetime experiance!

Akwa Ibom Hosts 8th National School Sports Festival
— Nov 18, 2014 | Leave a comment
After missing two opportunities to host the National School Sports Festival, Akwa Ibom will host the next edition of the festival in the brand new magnificent edifice-the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, officials of the National School Sports Federation have disclosed.

Akwa Ibom was to host the 6th edition but reneged owing to lack of facilities, but at the closing ceremony of the 7th edition held in Otukpo Benue State, vice president four of the NSSF, Mr Emmanuel Ebong revealed that his state government Akwa Ibom, has accepted to host the next edition inside the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo. “We could not host the two editions awarded us because at that time we had no facility to host event of such magnitude but with the construction of the magnificent new stadium in Uyo we are ready and the government of Akwa Ibom has accepted to host the next edition.”

President of the NSSF, Ibrahim Muhammad who confirmed Akwa Ibom’s readiness said they had two opportunities before now but were not forth coming but with what they have on ground now in the new stadium they have no excuse and the entire school children of Nigeria will be willing to storm Akwa Ibom to break more new records in the new international stadium. “Since our official told us Akwa Ibom has accepted to host we are ready to storm Uyo next year. However, we await the state government approval since the tussle has been between Akwa Ibom and Katsina States to host. Now that Akwa Ibom has come forward we accept.” He said
