Abrahamtaylour:Haha... Thank you Abraham, but my faith is running out on daily basis... ![]() ![]() I appreciate your effort in following up the training for us from your own end, you've helped to calm nerves here and reduce BPs. ![]() ![]() ![]() They should tidy up necessary stuffs and get to us, we want learn! |
![]() |
charleslifted:Well I don't really think so since it's a special training it might not necessarily follow their academic calendar but I'm not sure cos there's one in October too. If anyone can get across to them should let us know. |
![]() |
Happy new month people! We are in a new month and the wait continues, but while we wait we can brainstorm on what to expect from the training. Practicals, Field trips etc Like what are your expectations? |
![]() |
charleslifted:Okay! Which budget are you talking about? 2016? The training was advertised in early 2015, I think March 2015 as oil and gas training and later modified to geoscience training in August 2015 so one will want to think that it was captured in 2015 budget. If it's 2016 budget then it will take a long time to commence. The MD has been replaced with the director in charge of training so this shouldn't be a problem for him as he won't need time to hit the ground running. So I'm still wondering what is delaying the commencement of this training. One needs to charge his brain soon! ![]() ![]() |

charleslifted:Sorry I'm not being apprehensive, it's just a way to keep tabs on a weekly basis. This wait is even small, check other threads, peeps have been waiting for more than three years now... Besides, this is not the only opportunity, maybe when they'll be ready, I might not be interested again. ![]() Cheers |

Abrahamtaylour:Thank you Abraham for your efforts. |
![]() |
Saryea83:Yes, their plans keep changing, earlier it was oil and gas training. After, several months, they cancelled it to geosciences training. What should we expect now? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() |
Another week is here, what should we expect? Continuous silence or the anticipated information? The wait continues... |

I have been following the programme for a while now. At times I do not understand why government projects are always very slow, at times it can take years. For this programme, if they have finished shortlisting candidates, why not publish it pending when the programme starts. They came up with this training in August and till date no message to the applicant on what to expect until some people had to pay them a visit to enquire about what is going on. They should understand that we also have plans, some of us won't like to abandon the programmes we have enrolled in half way to attend to this one or abandon this one to attend to another. This is January, so many opportunities will pop up, we need to tick some and leave some. It's better we know our stands early enough so we know how to plan. Some people might have to leave their state of residence down to Port Harcourt thereby abandoning what one had already started! I want to believe that before they opened for applications they had already planned everything, so why does it look like they didn't have a plan in the first place? Please don't tell me about funding, that must have been captured in the 2015 budget so what is causing all this delay and waste of time? |

InsaneTamie:You see what I am talking about. So what is the criteria for opening a thread? Oh I see, when Tonto Dike prepares a watery soup Or when Ini Edo wears a sexy outfit for AMAA awards Or when Maheeda releases raunchy photos Or when Tiwa slips while on stage Or a pastor is caught having sex with somebody's wife in his office Etc You surely need help bro, you IQ is low that's why intelligent topics are not appealing to you. ![]() |

Nairaland these days lack interesting intellectual topic for discuss. If someone post any long article, the response you get is, 'too long', 'can read', etc. How does the youth intend competing with their mates from other climes without an intellectual discuss? |

Topics like this doesn't seem to interest Africans nay Nigerians, why? ![]() |

misspicy:Women should come out clean! That's my point. Have you read the whole post in the blog? |
![]() |
misspicy: No, that's not the point. They use these gadgets to cover up their emptiness as they are always glued to them. In a gathering, it is sensible enough to drop your gadgets and stop pinging and chatting and discuss with people. It is more lively! |
