You might want to read up on the fraud of a book that you are presenting.

Typical muslim

thank u sir LB. All i ask is that u read-up d book(s). Then in ur own words, tell us what u find fraudulent about BEHE's presentation(very simple ain't it?). I have read most so-called rebuttal to his works. Believe me, Though i am not a biologist, i however can tell u That BEHE's arguments will never ever be debunked(safe in the minds of d materialists). Anyways, u may want to correct ur "typical muslim" remark. That's if u do have d faintest idea where i stand. Peace!

As regards the OP. I believe, and do agree that religion in its present context, have birthed more foolishness than Atheism. While, at the same time, do align with the belief that Atheism has contributed the GREATEST foolishness in human evolutionary history. This is quite simply because: as an engineer, it beats my immagination why, a people, who would argue that something as simple as a bicycle could never come into being through Randomness(but rather deliberate design),would yet contend that something as d universe, which is IFINITELY more complex when compared against the simple bicycle ,could've emarged as a product of chance. Where's d consistency? Is not d Existence of our universe equally contingent upon a designer just as d bicycle- When in fact, d universe has greater variables that make d chance notion improbable? Well, this is only my opinion, and it is subject to criticism. Peace!

Produce one scientific paper that claims that evolution is false- the theory is false.

Liar.....back up your claims now

1)Darwin's Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution- By prof. Michael .j. BEHE

and more recently:
2)The Edge Of Evolution- Author: same as above.

give the above a shot. Perhaps, u will begin to look a liitle closer at d organization(s) in the universe as the ABSOLUTE proof(signature) of a designer. Peace!

Here's is a little motivator for ya- FAITH AND REASON

The Believers

Peace Bro'. If your claim is correct, why didn't Muhammad and His companions change their names when they SUPPOSEDLY embraced "ISLAM"? How come they all retained the names the had while they were SUPPOSEDLY "none-muslims"? Did their SUPPOSEDLY "none-muslim" names trans-mutate to the SUPPOSEDLY "muslim" names after they embraced the now "ISLAM"?

Peace To Everybody.

@Justaqad.

I don't think i have the energy to contribute exhaustively on this issue. But i can i assure you that you are spot on.
Here is a link to our website shedding greater light on the matter- HERE. You may take the information there and share it here if you choose.

I will only say a few words and hopefully a food for thought.

Mr. Justaqad, you have not only LOST your identity to the ARABS, but you have lost the religion all together to the Arabs. What you see around you as ISLAM today is simply the "ARAB RELIGION". The religion(or more accurately a system of conduct) envisioned in the Qur'an negates that which you know as "ISLAM" today. Don't take my word for it; the content of posts made my "muslims" on Nairaland ISlam section is evidence enough.

Here is a food for thought. The so-called "Islamic names" Umar, Muhammad, Fatimah, Aisha, Jamal etc all existed prior to Muhammad's Prophet-hood and were names used by both Pagan arabs, Christian arabs etc. How then can one claim these names are "Muslim names"?

The truth is, these names have nothing to do with the religion envisioned in the Qur'an. God does not care what you call yourself. He deliberately created us of different cultures, tribes and ethnicity for us to appreciate the wisdom in creation. I seriously doubt that the same God will urge us to adopt someone Else's culture. No one culture is superior to another.

The Only Criterion For Distinguishing Among The People

[49:13] O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

NB: there is no harm in embracing other people's culture which we admire. The harm is when we attribute it to GOD or religion.

zayhal: Hmm. SMH @justaqad. If you're been praised and cheered by non-believers, truly you should be concerned about yourSELF. I'd be very worried if my sayings attracts non-believers singing my praise, especially when other muslim(s) are condemned by them.

Remember we shall account for everything we do/say. Even the seemingly harmless internet banters.

Peace Ma'am.

I think your comment above is rather prejudice and a malicious one. How do you lump people together and label them NON-BELIEVERS? HOW do you know they are non-believers?

Please desist from making these kinda statements; it paints you ugly. No harm intended.

@Logicboy- Peace to you brother. Honorable acknowledgement from you. I think your observations isn't far-fetched. Justaqad is "Free-minder"; a good trait.

@Justaqad.

Peace to you brother. It's been a while, hope you doing fine.

Anyway, my contribution here is only to give you some words of encouragement. Do not let comments like that of Zayhal,BetaThings and their ilk deter you from questing for truth/knowledge even if it means questioning the generally accepted status quo. You must realize that you are an individual- and as such- your judgment with God will be as a consequence of your actions in this world and not that of others(you reap what you sow). Understanding this, your objective as a human being is to please God and not to please the majority who call themselves "muslims". Finding God is no easy feat; you must be a deep thinker, a questioner, an avid researcher, an objectively rational being, and overall- a "Free Man"(One who is not a slave to religion, science et al).

I really do like you. You remind me of myself a Lil' while ago. You are not afraid to question irrational ideas. This is the very first step in freeing thyself from RELIGIOUS ENSLAVEMENT.

It was not a mistake when i mentioned your name on this THREAD. Drop me your Email again, please.

[33:3]And put your trust in GOD. GOD suffices as an advocate.

[33:48] Do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites, disregard their insults, and put your trust in GOD; GOD suffices as an advocate.

Peace Sir. Thanks for the compliment. Why are you afraid of what people may think of what i write about. Don't they have a mind of their own. You see, it's these sort of obscurantist ideology that has really made most people backward and ignorant. You owe it to yourself to investigate all evidences before discounting them. Do you have any reason to believe Rashad Khalifa was not what he claims? Also remember i summoned you to a debate/discussion whatever you feel like calling it?. But you chickened out even before considering it. I also asked you state to me just one thing you are confident you do as dictated in the Quran......i am still waiting.

Tbaba Sir, you have no idea..............

pointblank 321: In my own opinion, quran was not from the true God. The Devil sat for a long time planning to oppose God and deceive mankind after Jesus death. After about 650 years Jesus had gone, he chose Muhammad to implement his well planned strategies.

Because he (satan) is not all-knowing, errors and inconsistencies are found his revelations. He thought is perfect but the Holy Ghost exposed him.

Please refer to these threads: 'The Meaning of Al-Quran' and 'Allah's Teaching' for more.

Peace Sir. We all have our necks to worry about. If to you the Quran is a book inspired by the devil, then that's your perspective. I have seen your thread, for a person like me the answers are the easiest and the most straightforward. I did not comment there simply because i was not convinced you were honest enough for me to attend to. I leave that to those who have the accurate history you know of. But if for some reason you are confident that you can debate on theological and philosophical issues, please give me a buzz....the LORD will provide me with the necessary ammunition to combat your kind. The history of Muhammad is re-written on 25th December 2012 to cover the errors in the quran. Great! Great! Great!

I am quite certain you were not part of such history. By what yardstick do we then, authenticate the veracity/accuracy of such history? The same kind o' fellas who re-wrote the the history of Jesus, were those who re-wrote the true history of Muhammad. What folks like me are simply doing is to try to reclaim the original history of those two great historical personalities. I invite you to ally yourself with the true soldiers of GOD, who fight day and night on the internet, promoting the truth about GOD, Jesus and Muhammad. PEACE!!

Paris Love:
Lemme just ask this simple question; smiley

"The quran is not in chronological order, all real scholar agree to this! But there was such order obviously. The first "revelation" came to muhammad in the cave. But it has number 96 in the quran. There are medina-surahs (came first). And mecca-surahs (came later). Now the order is completely mixed up !!
So, this is my question; WHO HAS CORRUPTED THE QURAN BY PLACING SURAHS IN THE WRONG ORDER ? AND WHEN ?? AND MOST IF ALL ...WHY !!! REMEMBER: YOUR ALLAH DOES NOT LIKE HIS WORDS BEING CHANGED FROM THEIR RIGHT PLACES (SURAH5:13).
AND THIS TIME NO SILLY EXCUSES AND LOGICAL FALLACIES, BUT A DIRECT HONEST ANSWER WITH REFERENCES, ETC...PLEASE"

Peace to you distinguished Paris_Love, the great Christian Mujahideen. You seem to be renowned in the knowledge of ISLAM even more than the Muslims cheesy. Well, i am gonna be a FAKE scholar here. I will attempt to give you the answers to the questions you asked.

1) The whole quran was revealed to Muhammad all at once. It was the release of the quran from Muhammad's memory to writing it down and proclaiming it to the people that took 23 three years. and there is a reason to that. God wanted Muhammad and hopefully some of his followers to memorize the quran. Also, the arrangement we find it today was done by Muhammad as he was instructed by GOD through Angel Gabriele's mediation. If it was arranged by other than Muhammad, quite naturally(as anyone would), they would be compelled to arrange it according to the chronological order of revelation. But there is a divine system in the Quran that we can only attribute to a super intelligence. When you go through our websites, the first thing you come in contact with is this divine system in the quran. It is one of the ULTIMATE MIRACLES of the BOOK.

[17:106] A Quran that we have released slowly, in order for you to read it to the people over a long period, although we sent it down all at once.

[25:32] Those who disbelieved said, "Why did not the Quran come through him all at once?" We have released it to you gradually, in order to fix it in your memory. We have recited it in a specific sequence.

The sequence of arrangement is not an error. It was done by Muhammad himself. Forget all the tales you read in HADITHS and other sources. This is SATAN trying hard to divert people from the path of GOD.

2) Muhammad was not an illiterate man. He wrote the Quran. The first revelation(chp. 96) talks about reading/recitation/proclamation. It also talks about God teaching Man by the use of the pen. The Second revelation(chp. 69) talks about the pen and its function. It is clear that you cannot dictate or ask an illiterate person to write anything down. Muhammad was a successful merchant; a merchant at his time could never be illiterate. The quran tells us Muhammad wrote God's word in no uncertain terms. It is the ignorant scholars centuries later who made the claim of Muhammad's illiteracy in order to make it seem he could not have been the author of the book, when people started questioning the authenticity of the Quran. They even had the audacity to distort the meaning of quranic word used to describe Muhammad and claimed this to be their proof. The word "UMMY" does not mean an illiterate as they claimed, this word means a GENTILE. i.e one who does not follow any scripture. When you go through most translations, you would find how GOD exposes this falsehood when they failed to translated all occurrences of this same word in all cases, since they know the verses won't make sense if translated as unlettered. Anyway, ain't got time for that now.

3)The quran was revealed during the 27th night of the Month of Ramadhan. i.e LAITUL QADR(night of destiny)

[97:1] We revealed it in the Night of Destiny.

Muhammad was not ordered to read/recite or squeezed by the Angel three times until he almost lost his breath. He did not run to his wife because he was terrified, there was no need to. These are lies by EVIL people trying to depict GOD as a sadistic, violent and wicked being. The angel Gabriel usually appears in the form a human being to Muhammad and help give the details of the message which was already placed in his heart. No human being has ever seen an Angel in their true form. When God sends Angels to the prophets, the come in human form. Unfortunately, the story tellers have messed up this quranic truth to some people who believe them. And they come in peace, and not to terrify the messengers. It was the case with MARY(19:17-18), LOT(11:77-81), ABRAHAM(11:69-70) etcetera. Why would it be different in Muhammad's case?

[6:8] They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited.

tobechi20:
Take a neutral position,go through the two books.which has a better representation of God. Dont be biased. Give reason.

Peace Bro'. I will just give my two cents, it's up to you to make informed decision from that.

Both scriptures contain the truth about GOD. However, for theological and philosophical reasons, i simply cannot accept the 'entire' BIBLE as being the word of GOD. The bible we have today has been re-authored, and this has contributed to a distorted representation of GOD and Jesus himself. This is no wonder why the vast majority of Christians(depending on the faction) are at odds with each other regarding the interpretation of the bible. Even the identity of Jesus today is being questioned by historians......this is the consequence of subversion of the message preached by Jesus some few centuries(during the council of NICEA- 325AD) after his DEATH.

I have reasons/Evidence to believe that the Quran is unquestionably the word of GOD. At a time when i had serious contemplation on my very existence and the possibility of a 'GOD', i became disillusioned with RELIGIOUS teachings about GOD and the purpose of our existence. Even though i was raised in a Muslim home, was taught Islam, and also memorized a great portion of the Quran- something was still amiss as regard the portrayal/nature of of GOD. The whole doctrine seemed antithetical to my understanding of GOD which i believe is innately placed in all of us. But as a junior scientist(in secondary school), and now a young Engineer- i simply could not allow my FATE to be decided by the clergymen. If i was going to burn in HELL for eternity, let it be by my own hands rather that the foolishness of others. So i sought for answers. For many years of my life, i studied various religions, researching day and night about where the truth lies. And i never forgot even for once to always pray in my heart that if there is a GOD, that He should come to my aid and show me the light. GOD listened, for He knows those who are sincere and honestly seeking out TRUTH and not arrogant. That was when i was led to the message of the quran, yet AGAIN. But this time, i actually could understand what the quran was proclaiming, as opposed to when i read it through the spectacles of the clergymen.

The message in the Quran is not for "Muslims", it's a beacon to all those who acknowledge TRUTH. ISLAM and MUSLIM are not proper names, but rather a description. Any entity(human or none-human) who submits/surrenders peacefully to God's laws in the scriptures and in creation/nature is termed Muslim(Submitter). Whether he/she follows the quran or not. This is why you find the Quran calls all the prophets and messengers as Muslims. Obviously, Jesus, Abraham, Moses, Jonah,John etcetera did not call themselves with the arabic word "Muslims", but rather with the descriptive qualification of that word in their various languages. Submitting to GOD simply means believing that GOD ALONE is almighty and all powerful. That no other entity possesses any power independent of GOD.

The Quran tells us that the basic requirement of making it into God's kingdom are simply three-fold(2:62, 5:69), regardless of the name you call yourself. As long as you do not idolize any entity(Angels, Muhammad, Jesus, Mary etcetera) besides the MOST GRACIOUS.

I will firstly need to assert this:" that the scriptures from God can only be understood by those with pure hearts; those who acknowledge truth whenever it is made clear and evident to them. Our Faculty comes first before the reading of the book. Because without our God given Mind/reason/Brain, we cannot grasp God's messages".

I will present to you from the bible what i believe is the truth about GOD and Jesus. If you are able to acknowledge this; you'll be amongst the Muslim-Christian(a Christian who submits his will to GOD). I will also Give some Quranic references and then will go on to tell you why i believe the Quran to be the word of the OMNISCIENT CREATOR.

WHAT JESUS TRULY SAID ABOUT GOD IN THE BIBLE

Jesus proclaimed aloud: "Whoever puts faith in me believes not so much in me as in him who sent me; ..... For I have not spoken on my own; no, the Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to speak. Since I know that his commandment means eternal life, whatever I say is spoken just as he instructed me." [ John 12:44-50 ]

"I cannot do anything of myself. I judge as I hear, and my judgment is honest because I am not seeking my own will but the will of him who sent me." [ John 5:30 ]

Jesus said: "My doctrine is not my own; it comes from him who sent me." [ John 7:16 ]

"Men of Israel, listen to me! Jesus the Nazorean was a man whom God sent to you with miracles, wonders, and signs as his credentials. These God worked through him in your midst, as you well know." [ Acts 2:22 ]

"...The man who hears my word and has faith in him who sent me possesses eternal life." [ John 5:24 ]

"Whoever welcomes me welcomes, not me, but him who sent me." [ Matthew 10:40, Mark 9:37, Luke 9:48, & John 13:20 ]

"...I have not come of myself. I was sent by One who has the right to send, and him you do not know. I know him because it is from him I come; he sent me." [ John 7:28-29 ]

Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "...Eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and him whom you have sent, Jesus Christ." [ John 17:1-3 ]

All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. [ Romans 8:14 ]

Jesus looked upward and said, "Father, I thank you for having heard me. I know that you always hear me but I have said this for the sake of the crowd, that they may believe that you sent me." [ John 11:41-42 ]

As he was setting out on a journey a man came running up, knelt down before him and asked, "Good Teacher, what must I do to share in everlasting life?" Jesus answered, "Why do you call me good[.b]? No one is good but God alone." [ Mark 10:17-18 ]

"None of those who call me 'Lord' will enter the kingdom of God, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven
." [ Matthew 7:21 ]

"...Go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. " [ John 20:17 ]

(THE MYTH OF GOD INCARNATE, John Hick, ed., The Westminster Press, Philadelphia, 1977 & THE MYTH MAKER, Hyam Maccoby,Harper & Row 1986). Today's Christianity is the product of Nicene (AD 325).

THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE QURAN

Minimum criteria for salvation; as long as we do not indulge in idol-worship(shirk) by reverencing human beings or other entities besides GOD.

[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

[5:69] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the converts, and the Christians; any of them who (1) believe in GOD and (2) believe in the Last Day, and (3) lead a righteous life, have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

RIGHTEOUS JEWS AND CHRISTIANS:

[3:113] They are not all the same; among the followers of the scripture(Jews and Christians), there are those who are righteous. They recite GOD's revelations through the night, and they fall prostrate.

Idol Worship Nullifies All Work:

[39:65] It has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you ever commit idol worship, all your works will be nullified, and you will be with the losers.

The Greatest Criterion:

[39:45] When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.

Everyone who claims to believe in GOD should meditate on the above verse carefully.

The sad reality: The Majority of Believers Destined for Hell

[12:106] The majority of those who believe in GOD do not do so without committing idol worship.

The above verse is one of the many verses in the quran that tell us that majority of those who think that they believe in GOD(whether Muslim, Christian , Grailist, Jewish ecetera) actually comit idol worship and consequently are destined for hell. Since the quran tell us that idol worship is the only unforgivable sin if maintained until death(4:48, 4:116, 4:18).

WHY I BELIEVE THE QURAN IS THE WORD OF GOD

1) The Quran contains innumerable and astonishingly accurate scientific facts that could not have been know during the ancient times, and only now can we make out what the quran truly meant by them. e.g

i) the quran gives the Geo-spherical shape of the earth with a very accurate description. This rules out the possibility of a haphazard guess or plagiarism, as the common speculation then was a round or circular earth. But the quran says it is egg-shaped(very accurate).

[79:30]He made the earth egg-shaped(Wal arda ba'ada zalika dahhaahaa)

The Arabic word "dahhaahaa" is derived from "Dahhyah" which means "egg."

ii) The quest for origin of the universe has led scientist to the well know 'BIG BA.NG" as the very beginning.

I being and Electrical/Computer Engineer know very well what the theory idealizes; by spatially measuring the residual background radiation which followed the BA.NG, an evenly distributed radiated energy is observed. At the same time, it also proves that the universe is in continual expansion which was first postulated by Edwin Hubble. This expansion phenomenon is also evidential by observation of cosmic bodies which recede from each other. Many many years before when a man like 'Einstein' could not believe in an dynamic expanding universe, rather subscribing to a static one; the quran says the following:

[21:30]Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?

[51:47]We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it.

There are countless of such information in the quran. Simply go through a THREAD i had started hoping i could call the attention of "objectively rational" people. Unfortunately, MOST people aren't!! See HERE.

2) Even if the quran can be shown to be the word of GOD, there must/should be a way of confirming that every single letter of if is from GOD; that nothing has been added to or deleted from it. Yes, the quran equally contains such mechanism. There are certain mysterious letters at the start of certain chapters which most Muslim scholars unanimously agree none knows their meaning. In fact, those letters are the ultimate EVIDENCE GOD has provided to the world as confirmation of the existence of a super intelligence out there. Those letters serve as the key for decrypting an awesome mathematical system in the quran. The author of the Quran, which i believe is GOD en-ciphered the quran using a mathematical system that is to serve as the proof of the quran. The quran tells us there is a secret in the quran based on the number 19, that when this secret is unfolded, it will help guide those who are sincere among the Muslims, Christians, Jews and all. This prophecy was fulfilled through a man called RASHAD KHALIFA.

You can watch the video in the thread link i gave earlier. Also, here is a link that demonstrates partially what i am talking about. QURAN's MATHEMATICAL MIRACLE.

3) Finally, Quran is the only book that truly answers the most important questions that all DEEP THINKERS should ask. Why are we here? How did we get? What is the purpose of our existence? Where do we go from here?

For instance, the quran tell us we were all part of a heavenly society until a certain feud occurred(38:69). It was after this feud that GOD sent all of us here(7:172). In other words, we all existed before. And this world is our final chance to redeem ourselves after the great crime we committed.

The Quran also tells us that the description of HEAVEN AND HELL are allegorical; no one actually knows what they are.

Please read the Introduction of this QURAN translation by RASHAD KHALIFA. There are too many facts about the quran i really wish i could share with you guys, but.......*Sighs*!! GOD will guide those who deserve guidance.

Claim48:
Moses and the Injil? Jesus is born more than 1,000 years after Moses, but in 7:157 Allah speaks to Moses about what is written in the Injil [the book given to Jesus].

Refutation 48

In 7:157 God does not speak to Moses.

To analyze the meaning of 7:157 we must start reading from 7:155:

[7:155] "Moses then selected seventy men from among his people, to come to our appointed audience. When the quake shook them, he said, "My Lord, You could have annihilated them in the past, together with me, if You so willed. Would You annihilate us for the deeds of those among us who are foolish? This must be the test that You have instituted for us. With it, You condemn whomever You will, and guide whomever You will. You are our Lord and Master, so forgive us, shower us with Your mercy; You are the best Forgiver."

[7:156] "And decree for us righteousness in this world, and in the Hereafter. We have repented to You." He said, "My retribution befalls whomever I will. But My mercy encompasses all things. However, I will specify it for those who (1) lead a righteous life, (2) give the obligatory charity (Zakat) (3) believe in our revelations, and

[7:157] "(4) follow the messenger, the gentile prophet, whom they find written in their Torah and Gospel. He exhorts them to be righteous, enjoins them from evil, allows for them all good food, and prohibits that which is bad, and unloads the burdens and the shackles imposed upon them. Those who believe in him, respect him, support him, and follow the light that came with him are the successful ones."

To resolve the truth of this claim it is first necessary to determine who is referred to in 7:157 as the "the messenger, the gentile prophet".

The author claims that in this verse God is speaking to Moses. It can be shown that this is quite impossible. If we assume that God is speaking to Moses in this verse, then "the messenger, the gentile prophet" cannot be Moses himself, since it would make no sense for God to ask Moses to follow himself! Equally, and if God is speaking to Moses in this verse, "the messenger, the gentile prophet" could not be Jesus nor Muhammad since it would make no sense for God to ask Moses to follow a prophet who would come after his time.

The person who is described as "the messenger, the gentile prophet", and who is Muhammad, is in fact the clue in verifying the ones who are addressed in this verse.

The confirmation that it is Muhammad who is referred to as "the messenger, the gentile prophet", is found in the verse that follows:

[7:158] "Say, (O Muhammad) "O people, I am God's messenger to all of you. To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except He. He controls life and death." Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messenger, the gentile prophet, who believes in GOD and His words. Follow him, that you may be guided."

By reading all four verses, we can see that in 7:157 God is not speaking to Moses at all, God is speaking to all Jews, not only those at the time of Moses, but for all time.

What God is saying to all Jews is that He will specify His Mercy to those who:

(1) lead a righteous life

(2) give the obligatory charity (Zakat)

(3) believe in Our revelations

(4) follow the messenger, the gentile prophet, whom they find written in their Torah and Gospel.

If we look at the third condition (believe in Our revelations) it implies that God expects each people to believe in the revelations given to them. At the time of Moses, the Jews who were entitled to earn God's Mercy, were those who believed in the Torah given to Moses.

At the time of Jesus, the Jews who would earn God's Mercy were those who believed in the Torah as well as the Injil (Gospel) which was given to Jesus. This means that all the Jews who disbelieved in Jesus and labelled him as a false prophet, will not earn God's Mercy.

Finally, from the time of the revelation of the Quran onwards, the Jews who believed in the Torah, the Injil (Gospel) and also the Quran would be entitled to God's mercy.

@Maclatunji.

first, i say peace to you. Mr. MAC, i think your style of moderating is seriously questionable. I started a thread with the title "Qur'an Rejects Blind Faith" yesterday, for some unexplained reason(s), you deleted it. I ask this: Shouldn't you have at least notified me before deleting it. i.e if for some strange reason you construed it as been offensive/derogatory or in violation of the forum rules? Should i not be told to modify the part(s) that appear derogatory before striking it out, if indeed there were? Your system is oppressive, and if you are at all in tune with the message in the quran, you would know that oppression according to GOD is worse that murder. I leave the judgement to GOD. The more you delete my threads, the more you give me greater conviction to trust in GOD, and to follow the message He has endeared to the true believers in the quran. If you find my preaching the message of Quran Alone/God Alone repugnant, then know that you are in a battle with GOD and not me. And you and i know who the victor shall be.

@Paris-Love. Peace Ma'am.

It's pointless addressing your question here. He(the Mod) may end up deleting it. So I'll just give some links to our various sites addressing women issues, and i hope you find them useful too. They'll shed light on the questions you have and may want to ask about "Women's Right in the Qur'an".

I have this hunch you are the same person as Saint_Paris. Am i right? My hunch is given further evidence by the correlation between the dates the two handles were registered and the fact that the two o' you kind o' like questioning about women's right in Islam. Just speculating.......correct?

Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Qur'an Alone? by usisky(m): 10:48pm On Dec 13, 2012

Paris-Love:

Yea friend, actually i do. It's more important issue than that of Salat. It's a crime against humanity and mostly women, it's about ràpe. The simple fact that the Hadith is the only source for providing any punishment for this matter.(Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 38, Number 4366)"

Even the Hadith is considered weak and many like lagoshia wouldn't even accept them if they put up a particular argument
against Islam. So please clear me on this one, maybe that's why in many islamic countries rape victims often punished by Islamic courts as adulterers. Like you've pointed out above, Allah has punishments for sexuàl sins like adultery and fornication. So my friend why couldn't i even find a single verse in the Quran dealing with this matter?

Does Allah believe that ràpe of women is not important to address?

*Any Muslim is free to answer as well. Thankssmiley

Peace Ma'am/Sir. You have asked an interesting question, and God willing, i will address it. Not immediately though....perhaps tomorrow.

As for the highlighted above- You and I know you've never really studied the Quran. But regardless, i will try put together something intelligible that addresses this. But know this; just like i had explained to Mr. MAC in my earlier post- the quran in certain cases provides general rules/guidelines that accommodates various situations- if only we studied it carefully and applied our God given wisdom.

PEACE!!

Claim47:
When/how are the fates determined? "Night of power is better than a thousand months. The angels and spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees." [97:3,4] "Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night." [44:3] To Muslims, the "Night of Power" is a blessed night on which fates are settled and on which everything relating to life, death, etc., which occurs throughout the year is decreed. It is said to be the night on which Allah's decrees for the year are brought down to the earthly plane. In other words, matters of creation are decreed a year at a time. Contradicting this, Sura 57:22 says, "No affliction befalls in the earth or in yourselves, but it is in a Book before we create it." This means it is written in the Preserved Tablet, being totally fixed in Allah's knowledge before anyone was created. All of the above is contradicted by "And every man's fate We have fastened to his own neck." This says that man alone is responsible for what he does and what happens to him. [17:13]

REFUTATION 47

The author is using non-Quranic hearsay to attack the Quran! The Quranic verses that speak about the Night of Destiny do not contradict one another.

What some Muslims believe or say is not the subject nor the defense of this study. The main concern here is the Quran. For only the Quran, being the true word of God harbors no contradiction.

"We revealed it in the Night of Destiny. How awesome is the Night of Destiny! The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by their Lord's leave, to carry out every command." 97:1-4

"We have sent it down in a blessed night, for we are to warn." 44:3

"We have recorded the fate of every human being; it is tied to his neck. On the Day of Resurrection we will hand him a record that is accessible." 17:13

The night of Destiny, believed to be the 27th night of the month of Ramadan, was the night the Quran was descended unto the soul of Muhammad. It is thus described in the Quran as a "blessed night".

The author has detailed a number of concepts that have no basis in the Quran, and used them to attack the Quran and claim that it contains contradiction:

1- The author says: To Muslims, the "Night of Power" is a blessed night on which fates are settled and on which everything relating to life, death, etc., which occurs throughout the year is decreed.

It is said to be the night on which Allah's decrees for the year are brought down to the earthly plane. In other words, matters of creation are decreed a year at a time.

It is true that the Quran speaks of the night of Destiny to be blessed since it was the night when the Quran was placed in the heart of Muhammad, however, there is no indication in the Quran whatsoever of the false yearly concept (where all fates ...etc are decided once a year)! If some Muslims believe that, they must be getting their information from outside the Quran. The Quran asserts quite the opposite of that. 57:22 confirms that everything in the heavens and the earth is already recorded from before creation (57:22), and not settled on yearly basis !

The author here used a false non-Quranic concept (the yearly concept) to attack a correct Quranic truth (matters are already recorded from before creation 57:22)

2- The author then says:

"All of the above is contradicted by "And every man's fate We have fastened to his own neck." This says that man alone is responsible for what he does and what happens to him. [17:13]"

What the author is addressing here is the old puzzle of (Is man master of his own fate or not?)

In other words, if everyone's fate is already recorded before hand, how can God say that we have the choice to be believers or not?

As explained in claim 21, the theory of relativity has helped clarify this very old debate. Relativity says that there is no such thing as absolute time, furthermore it states that time was created when the universe was created. At the initial moment of the Big Bang, Matter, Space and Time were all created simultaneously.

What this means is that outside our physical universe there is no such thing as time. Outside the physical universe there is no such thing as yesterday, today or tomorrow. It follows therefore that from God's point of view, and since God is not subject to time as we know it, all matters, past, present and future are already recorded.

@Saint Paris

It is not about prooving that the Quran is not complete without the Hadith. may God forbid such thought. But that the Hadith is not relevant is also trash. While i understand that the Hadith may be corrupt and will be careful with the message, it is not worthy for a Muslim to say it is crap. it is a sign of disbelief in itself. The Prophet lived the Quran, he was described as a walking Quran, is such a life not worthy of being studied, is it not wisdom to want to view "how did the Prophet interprete the Quran?" He will agree that no ones understanding of the Quran can surpass the Prophets` hence emulation of the prophets ways. If an hadith now says the Prophet does something contrary to the Quran, it can be ignored or seen as trash but not regarding the Hadith generally as trash-it is a sign of disbelief

Sometimes it really is difficult to explain things to you guys. Some bunch of medieval arab story-tellers gather around some two centuries after the death of the prophet, produce for you what they call his Hadith/Sunnah and you believed them? The truth is most of you have never ever undertaken any serious research/study regarding the Hadiths. I bet you don't even have a copy of the VOLUMES of Sahih al-bukahry for instance. Yet you claim you're following the Prophet.

If the prophet followed the quran so much as you have confessed. Why then is it hard for you to follow his example by following the Quran?

Islam for Muslims / Re: Divorce And Remarriage, Weird Laws by usisky(m): 4:18pm On Dec 11, 2012
Saint paris: Geez, Why you trying so hard to prove that your Quran is incomplete and useless without some man made narration? The Quran claims to be the Qur’an, on repeated occasions reiterates its claim to be a clear book (5:15) easy to understand (44:58, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40) explained in detail (6:114), conveyed clearly , (5:16, 10:15) with no doubt in it (2:1), with clear ordinances , ( 98:3 ), of divine nature , ( 10:37 ) full of wisdom , ( 36:2 ) etc. Yet you tell us that we must first learn its “hadiths” in order to understand its meaning or Islam. If that is the case then what shall we make of the above claims of the clarity of the Qur’an? If we first need to learn the “hadiths” before we begin to understand it, then the claim that the book is clear and easy to understand is false.

Goodluck to you in your quest of trying to prove that the quran is incomplete. Not sure if you'll need it, still cheesy

May GOD bless you Sir/Ma'am. You have spoken some words of wisdom. Only those who are deep thinkers will understand.

[17:9] This Quran guides to the best path, and brings good news to the believers who lead a righteous life, that they have deserved a great recompense.

[17:89] We have cited for the people in this Quran all kinds of examples, but most people insist upon disbelieving.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Salaat From Quran- Invitation to Sweetnecta by usisky(m): 11:07pm On Dec 10, 2012

PEACE Brother. I will address the first part of your post separately. Let me address these ones for now.

BetaThings: Fajr and Maghrib
And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.11:114

What is the difference between end of the day and approach of the night?

Firstly, the translation you are using above does not really do justice to the verse. You had erroneously thought this verse talks about two prayers instead of three due to poor translation.

Here is a better translation:

Three of the Five Prayers(Fajr, Maghrib and E'sha):

[11:114] You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) at both ends of the day, and during the night....

Here is the Arabic for confirmation:

وَأَقِمِ الصَّلوٰةَ طَرَفَىِ النَّهارِ and observe Salat at both end of the day(Dawn- fajr and Sunset(Dusk)- maghrib)

وَزُلَفًا مِنَ الَّيلِ and during the Night(E'sha)

Please do observe that the verse only talks about the prayer times and not their names. Names can be found in other verses. See 24:58.

BetaThings: When does the night prayer start? When does it end?

Night comes after SUNSET(Dusk) and ends before DAWN. It therefore logically follows that the Night prayer should be observed any time between after sunset and before dawn. I believe this is simple enough.

BetaThings: Zuhr
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.17:78

How does this tell me cross over point between Zuhr and Asr (the middle prayer)

Poor translation. Here:

The Noon Prayer(Zuhr)
[17:78]You shall observe the Contact Prayer (Salat) when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe (the recitation of) the Quran at dawn.(Reciting) the Quran at dawn is witnessed.

I think this is pretty straightforward. The Noon prayer(Zuhr) is observed....well during the "NOON". I mean the verse is very clear...."When the sun declines from its highest point"- simple!!

BetaThings: Zuhr
And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.30:18This does not talk about salat ("contact prayer"wink. If you interpret it as salat. Then it validates prayer in the night.

Sorry about that. It was a mistake. I will correct it. Anyway, the "noon" salat is mentioned in 17:78.

BetaThings: Asr
Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah , devoutly obedient 2:238

This does not tell me the starting point of the middle prayer

BTW if you cannot convince me that end of the day is the same as approach of the night, the number of prayer become 3. Middle prayer (Zuhr which you interpret as Asr) then starts from the decline of the sun and ends at the end of the day.

[2:238]You shall consistently observe the Contact Prayers, especially the middle prayer, and devote yourselves totally to God.

We have seen in 11:114 that three salat(DAWN,SUNSET and NIGHT) are referenced. We also know the NOON salat is given in 17:78, Making a total of four salat. Now this verse talks about Middle salat. Obviously you cannot have a middle if the number of salat was EVEN numbered. And it definitely cannot be three salat as we have already seen from other
verses. The only conclusion here is that this verse is speaking about the AFTERNOON(Asr) salat, which totals the salats to five. As for the timing; It is between NOON and SUNSET i.e AFTER-NOON.

BetaThings: Please always quote the Qur'an in full. If you are trying to convince anyone that they are making mistakes, your evidence must be free from any bias. The slightest hint of bias taints you and your intentions. Let us quote the Qur'an and see what we have

This was not intentional. At the time i posted this, the Nairaland interface some how did not permit me to use dots[........] to denote partially quoted statement. I will correct that.

BetaThings: Reading the verses in full we don't get the understanding you are trying to push ie that the Prophet (PBUH) has the duty of delivering the Qur'an but not to explain it. What comes across is that he should deliver the message, but he will not be held accountable if people did not submit or follow his teachings
Huge difference!

That is exactly what i meant. His duty was to simply deliver the message(quran) to the people. But quite naturally, as the living messenger of God then, he definitely would call the people's attention to the correct way of observance of the laws in the quran when need be. As for explaining the Quran, that was not his duty. He was categorically forbidden by God from explaining the Quran(75:16-19).

[75:16] Do not move your tongue to hasten it.
[75:17] It is we who will collect it into Quran.
[75:18] Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.
[75:19] Then it is we who will explain it.

According to the Quran, God is the one who teaches it:

[55:1] The Most Gracious.
[55:2] Teacher of the Quran.

The truth is this: the quran contains certain information that can only be understood long after the prophet passed away. The prophet couldn't have known the meanings. If he did, why don't we have a document where he explained the numerous scientific statements made in the quran? or better still, why with all the explanations, the muslims yet fail to understand some basic things about the Quran. The quran is very clear, anybody who opens his/her heart to it will grasp its message.

Please see this thread HERE. Watch VIDEO number eight(Does Hadith Explain the Quran?)

All the evidences i can ever provide are documented in those videos. If only you guys will reserve some time to watch them?!!

BetaThings: That part in bold type is very very untrue
So the hadith where the Prophet told people to pray as they saw him prayed has been removed from the Ahadeeth books?
And there is a hadith of the man who prayed badly and whom the Prophet (PBUH) directed to repeat it until he admitted he could not pray better than he had upon which the Prophet (PBUH) taught him to pray. Is the hadith missing too?

BTW every prophet (AS) had his Sharia. That is why the offsprings of Adam lawfully married each other. But that is no longer so.
Finally, if we are to do things in accordance to Abraham's ways, how are we to know the details? By what means of transmission. You have drawn our attention to the application of certain verses in the Qur'an. How did you know this interpretation.

You quoted from a website. I don't think you should be doing that since the Qur'an is complete, clear and does not require ahadeeth to explain it.

PLEASE sir, watch VIDEO number eight from the thread link I'd given above. It explains all you are asking.

BetaThings: You have drawn our attention to the application of certain verses in the Qur'an. How did you know this interpretation

Because the Quran is very clear and easy to understand. It is a message meant for guiding the entire human race(the chinese, german, greek, dutch, american, haitian, indian, african etc) to the path of GOD. I seriously doubt that GOD would reveal a scripture that is so difficult to grasp and yet expect people to take guidance from it. Why? You have been told it's difficult to understand, your mind has accepted that as being true- hence, it becomes difficult for you to understand. But if you believe what God tells you in many many many verses that the book is clear and easy to understand, then he will open your heart to its understanding.

BetaThings: You applied Qur'an 87:1 to prostration and Qur'an 56:74 to bowing. Why? Why not the reverse?

You miss the whole idea. This is simply a confirmation that the quran does contain most all that is recited in the salaat. Like i have emphasized, the salaat was a traditional practice prior to Muhammad's prophethood. People observed the salat even before the advent of the quran. The Mushrikh arabs at the time of the prophet prayed salaat. Muhammad simply followed the way they observed salaat; of course with the purification of the corruption added to it. The pagan arabs were followers of the religion(ISLAM) practiced by Abraham via Ismael. The only thing was that they had corrupted their practices and by setting-up idols(alaat, uzza and mannat)they called intercessors at GOD. This is why the quran terms them as Muhsriks(those who ascribe partners with GOD). All these facts are documented in the quran. Quite frankly, how many of you learned the salaat from the hadith? Almost all of us learned it from our parents. This was how salaat was passed down through the generations. It's just that whenever the practices are distorted, God always sends messengers to correct them. That was the case with Muhammad too. People prayed alongside the prophet, they learned the salaat; taught it to their children, children grew up and in turn teach it to their children and on and on, until today. Unfortunately, the salaat has been distorted yet again through the hadith innovations. The form is exactly the same, but certain idolatrous aspects must be eliminated as these have nothing to do with the SALAAT Muhammad observed.

BetaThings: You applied Qur'an 3:18 to tashahhud. What is the proof that that is what it applies to? Where is the proof that there is something

You don't know what tashhuud means? Tahshuud means- "BEAR WITNESS TO" or "BEAR TESTIMONY TO".

The Quran clearly tells us the SHAHADAh is "LA ELLAHA ELLA LAH" - there's no god other than GOD.

شَهِدَ اللَّهُ - SHAHEEDAH ALLAHU(GOD bears witness)

أَنَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ - ANNAHU LA ELLAHA ELLA HO(that there's no god but HE)

وَالمَلٰئِكَةُ - WAL MALAEKAH(Also the Angels)

وَأُولُوا العِلمِ - WA ULUL ILM(and people with knowledge)

[3:18] GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise.

This is the shahadah as dictated by GOD in the Quran. What you know as the shahadah today was innovated through hadiths. Can you imagine prophet Muhammad standing before GOD and proclaiming: "There is no god but ALLAH and Muhammad is His Messenger"? Will Muhammad be acknowledging his own messenger-ship before himself and before God?. Is this not ridiculous? The sentence "Muhammad rasoollillah" was added to the shahadah many many years after Muhammad's death. This reflects the highest degree of SHIRK(setting up partners with GOD); to put any entity next to GOD is an unforgivable SIN if maintained till death. The quran teaches us that ALL messenger came with ONE shahadaah: "there is no god but ALLAH(GOD)" 21:25

[21:25]We did not send any messenger before you except with the inspiration: "There is no god except Me; you shall worship Me alone."

Muhammad could never have been proclaiming before himself that he was God's messenger- this is a pernicious innovation!!

The Tashuud you recite when you are seated during your salaat alone tells you Muhammad was dead and gone when such innovations were added. What is the meaning of this sentence you say in your tashuud during salaat..." Assalamu alaika ayyuha ANNABI"?

It means: "peace and blessings on you O Prophet"!!!!! How on earth can you people not see from this alone that the prophet could not have taught this. Did the prophet recite the same thing on himself when he was alive? If he didn't do it, why then are millions of Muslims doing something they have no evidence of? We really need to put on our thinking caps if our intentions to observe GOD is genuine and sincere.

I am not done yet.

^^^ just remembered some verses to augment my previous response with. here:

Do Not Prohibit What God did not specifically make Ulawful:
[3:93] All food used to be lawful for the Children of Israel, until Israel imposed certain prohibitions on themselves before the Torah was sent down. Say, "Bring the Torah and read it, if you are truthful."

[3:94] Those who fabricate false prohibitions after this, and attribute them to GOD, are truly wicked.

This is what the Jews did. The made several dietary prohibition and imposed it on the people without God's approval. Verse 94 informs us that anyone who prohibits what God did not is in fact a wicked soul. However, this system is a recurrent practice. For instance, God in the Quran prohibited only four types of food(5:3,6:145, 16:115-116), but according to hadith- there are hundreds of prohibited food. The same thing the Jewish people did, the muslim also did same in spite of the clear commandment in the quran.

Only Four Foods Prohibited:

[16:115] He only prohibits for you dead animals, blood, the meat of pigs, and food which is dedicated to other than GOD. If one is forced (to eat these), without being deliberate or malicious, then GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[16:116] You shall not utter lies with your own tongues stating: "This is lawful, and this is unlawful," to fabricate lies and attribute them to GOD. Surely, those who fabricate lies and attribute them to GOD will never succeed.

So you see why it's a gross transgression against God to prohibit what He did not, and even worse, attributing such lies to Him. Even with the clear commandment above, you have numerous prohibitions made in the hadith books all in the name of "Obeying the Messenger".
