Politics / Re: MalcolmX's Fair Assessment Of Buhari's And Atiku's Chances In The 2019 Polls by uwa1(m): 4:41pm On Nov 09, 2018
MalcoImX:
A fair assessment of Buhari's and Atiku's chances in the 2019 elections

[s]This analysis is hypothetical, but akin to the electoral college system practiced in many countries. It may still consists of lapses but still better than emotional permutations which most people (especially here) are fond of doing.

Here, Nigeria is divided into six (6) geopolitical regions and each region is allocated 100% which will later equate to 100 points. It does not mean you have all the votes in the region, but like the electoral college system you take all the points allocated to that region if you have higher presence/advantages or votes. And, in the event where there's a perception of a tight race, the votes or points are split 50/50 between contenders.

Here we go:

BUHARI

North East: 100%
North West: 100%
North Central: 50%
South West: 100%
South East: 0%
South South: 0%

Total = 350 Points

ATIKU

North East: 0%
North West: 0%
North Central: 50%
South West: 0%
South East: 100%
South South: 100%

Total = 250 Points

So, by this methodology, it could be seen that Atiku would have 250 points as against Buhari's 350 points, and therefore, by that Buhari is expected to trounce Atiku by as much as 100 points.

As you BuhaRebuild and Atikulate, remember you first heard it hear.[/s]

Politics / Re: Is This How Atiku Wants To Run The Economy? by uwa1(m): 7:58am On Oct 11, 2018
Deji7474:
Is this how Atiku wants to run the economy?

The PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, keeps saying based on his antecedents, he is the best man to fix the country’s economy. He must really think Nigerians are either daft or are suffering from amnesia. Below are records of his ‘achievements’ when he was head of President Olusegun Obasanjo’s economic team and chairman of the National Council on Privatization (NCP) from 1999 to 2007.

~16 billion dollars set aside for the upgrade of power supply infrastructure disappeared into thin air. No improvement in power supply to show for the humongous figure.

~In 2007, both a Senate panel, chaired by Victor Ndoma-Egba and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) indicted Atiku for diverting 145 million dollars meant for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) to various bank accounts linked to him between 1999 and 2006.

~In 2010, the United States Senate Permanent Sub-Committee on Investigations exposed a pattern of wire transfers of more than 40 million dollars from offshore companies like Siemens into bank accounts controlled by Atiku and one of his wives, Jemila Abubakar (formerly Jennifer Iwenjora, later Jennifer Douglas). To avoid being arrested and jailed for this and other scandals, Atiku has avoided the US like a plague for years.

~He was also indicted by the former IGP Mike Okiro panel for sharing the 74 million dollars proceeds of the famous Halliburton bribe scandal to other top officials of the very corrupt administration in which he served.

~He sold national assets in fraudulent circumstances to himself and cronies and was heavily involved in the corruption-laden incorporation of Transcorp.

~US investigators also named Atiku as the collector of the famous 6 million dollars bribe from officials of Willbros Group, Inc., a global engineering and contractor company based in Houston, Texas. He was said to have demanded and collected the bribe to facilitate illicit and illegal deals for the company in Nigeria.

The truth is, you guys are making him more popular and formidable... KEEP THE GOOD WORK GOING..

newsbook:
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reacted to the barrage of attacks by presidency officials on its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, saying it was evidence that President Muhammadu Buhari’s were jittery and afraid he would lose to its candidate in the 2019 general elections.

All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, who met with Buhari Wednesday in Abuja, however, replied the PDP and said they were ready to take on Atiku, stating that Buhari was sure to win the impending contest.

OP it is obvious what u are trying to achieve, am wondering why you have to go through this channel to achieve your goal. Why rubbish/destroy the reputation of a man who has contributed to the growth of our economy. If just 50% of our politicians have invested in our economy like Atiku did, I don't think Nigeria will be where it is today considering the amount of stolen public funds in their possession...

Let me quickly remind you that the Atiku u spent so much time trying to rubbish/destroy his reputation owns the following businesses established in Nigeria..

Integrated Logistics Services Nigeria Limited, popularly known as INTEL, a microfinance bank that has moved 45,000 families out of poverty and Rica Gado, a livestock feed company.

OP... Fear God oh... Fear God...

bellonaija:
The Director of Media for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), has alleged that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar made money through illegal means and cheating the system.

He said Atiku was running private businesses as a customs officer in contravention of public service rules.

Keyamo also claimed that Atiku’s only successful business was Integrated Logistics Services Nigeria Limited, popularly known as INTEL.

He said, “Firstly, the myth about Atiku’s business acumen is one of the biggest and fattest lies ever sold to Nigerians. He has never run a successful business.

“He only has one company, which is a cash cow through which he invests in other things and that company is known as INTELS.

“He acquired shares in INTELS in 1982 when he was still a customs officer which was in clear violation of the code of conduct for public officers where he acquired shares in a company that had something to do with the customs and government
.

“The company is not run in a competitive manner but a monopolistic manner where all other persons are totally shut out. All governments in this country until now had been compromised by this company until now.”

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has told its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, things to look out for as he searches for his Vice ahead of 2019.

The leadership of the party, led by its National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, met with Atiku to discuss the issue.

The meeting was held at the party’s presidential campaign office, otherwise known as Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, on Sunday night, according to Punch.

Some criteria were set for who should partner Atiku to enable it to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 14, 2019 presidential election.

Atiku and his team were the first to arrive for the meeting before Secondus and his team, who were delayed with flight schedule from Port Harcourt.

The meeting started late in the night and lasted for about two hours.

Atiku was mandated to submit list of his preferred candidates as running mates to the party.

The ex-VP was told told that the running mate should be younger than him and be grounded in the economy, according to Punch.

The newspaper also reported that series of meetings would be held within the week in order to enable the party meet the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the submission of candidates’ names for the elections.

Politics / Re: Atiku Media Slams Buhari & APC, Lists Achievements by uwa1(m): 8:06am On Oct 10, 2018
9Ebiscoo:
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has fired another shot at President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement from his media office in Abuja on Tuesday, Atiku said President Buhari had never been a good businessman.

There have been verbal exchanges from the camp of both politicians since Sunday the former Vice President picked the PDP sole ticket.

The fight has been mainly between the Buhari Campaign Organization and the Atiku Abubakar Campaign team.

Atiku’s statement said, “The open, democratic and free and fair election (something alien to the APC, according to Buhari’s own wife) on Sunday of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, as the Presidential candidate for the PDP has clearly left the APC in a state of panic and confusion.

“On Sunday, the Buhari Campaign Organisation launched the first weak salvo. And on Monday, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary unleashed his own knee-jerk reaction, accusing Atiku of being desperate.

“Our response to the APC is to ask who is desperate between a Muhammadu Buhari who said, ‘If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood’ and an Atiku Abubakar who said, ‘Love and peace should not only be preached, but must also be put into practice for the sake of sustaining the peace in our land’?

“It is left for Nigerians to judge, but even a blind person can see that Nigeria has been ‘soaked in blood’ ever since she was unfortunate enough to have fallen under the leadership of a man whose words are destructive and never productive.

“Some of Atiku Abubakar’s achievements as Nigeria’s Vice President are that as head of the National Council of Privatisation, he superintended over the GSM revolution that saw Nigeria go from 50,000 to 100 million GSM lines, has added 500,000 direct jobs to the Nigerian economy and attracted $27bn to our GDP. Our question to President Buhari and the APC is how many jobs have they created?

“Another of Abubakar’s achievements is the successful privatisation of many public enterprises that hitherto consumed government resources without yielding a profit. In response, we ask President Buhari how many loopholes in public expenditure has he plugged? The spectacular failure of the 419 Nigeria Air is still fresh in the memory of Nigerians.

“Finally, the APC spokesman had the guts to question His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar’s source of wealth.

“We wish to remind APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, that Atiku Abubakar is not like President Buhari who has never run a successful private business throughout his life.

“Unlike Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku Abubakar is an expert job creator who has founded many successful and thriving businesses including the American University of Nigeria, Yola; a microfinance bank that has moved 45,000 families out of poverty and Rica Gado, a livestock feed company that has significantly reduced instances of herdsmen/farmers clashes by providing a business-friendly solution instead of asking Nigerians to give up their lands for cattle ranching or face death, as the Buhari government did.”

The statement added that unlike President Buhari, Atiku does not believe Nigerian youths are lazy.

“How could he when 25,000 out of his 50,000 employees are youths,”? he asked.

It urged the Buhari Presidency and the APC to mention even one successful private endeavour that the President had successfully run.

“And by private enterprises, we are not referring to 150 cows that never increase in number, year in year out,” the statement added.
