According to Vanguard, a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged to court for kidnapping and defiling a 3-year-old girl for 5
days.

Abdulkadir Salihu was brought to Lokoja Magistrate Court on two court charges of Kidnapping and rape.

Corporal Ubi Ubana who presented the prosecution said the case was reported to the police by the girl's Uncle, Adama Ibrahim on 20th October 2014.

Moses Onianwa, a 25 year old man who works with OShimili North LGA of delta state was reportedly shot by the policemen of Ibusa
Police station in delta state.

According to his friends, Moses was with three other of his friends monitoring the Local Government Election on Saturday when the
police men pursued and shot at them around Asaba.

Two of them ran away while the other two stayed back with the driver in the vehicle.

When the policemen arrived,his friend christopher 29,was badly beaten and out of fright, moses ran away immediately and was

A 23-year-old Nigerian, Desmond Adesanya was reportedly caught by the secret service agents
and their dogs yesterday 22nd October after jumping the fence of the White House.

Desmond Adesanya who studied at Stevenson University for business administration andmanagement and at Hartford Community

No fewer than four Christians were killed in Pelachiroma community of Hawul, Borno state on Tuesday, October 21 by suspected insurgents. Two churches and over 50 houses were also razed down in the attack

According to some of the fleeing residents of Pelachiroma, the insurgents stormed the village at about 9pm on motorcycles, well armed with ak47 rifles and petrol bombs.

They were said to have started shooting sporadically at anyone in sight while the people ran in all directions for safety.

Speaking in a telephone call, Mr. John Markus, a resident of Pelachiroma said: " They came
with motorcycles and well armed with ak47 rifles and petrol bombs targeting christian faithful and our places of worship.

"As I am talking to you now we have all deserted our community as the insurgents who were chanting Allahu Akbar (God is great) vowed to eliminate Christians in Haul Local government area.

The Enugu State police have arrested one Ozoemena Nwankwo, described as a serial wife beater, for allegedly beating his 4-month pregnant wife, Ndidi, to death at their Akpawfu village residence in Nkanu-East Local Government Area in Enugu on October 17th, Vanguard reports.

The state's Police PRO, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident in a statement…

"Close family source informed the
command that the suspect had been using his wife as punching bag. The suspects wife is four months pregnant.

Due to the beating she got from the
husband on that fateful day which
inflicted injuries on her right leg and on her vital organs, she was rushed to hospital.

She was unconscious at the nearby
hospital where she was rush to and the doctors on duty confirmed her dead.

The Wife of the governor of Ekiti State, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose, has revealed the travails she and her husband went through for eight years after they were sacked from Government House on October 16, 2006.

Speaking at a thanksgiving testimony at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Ado Ekiti today, she said:

"God revealed to me that my husband, Mr Ayodele Fayose will return as the governor, but he never told me the time.

God told me that our return would be done in such a way that will beat the people's imagination.

But because of the trouble we went through, at a time I prayed to God to please push my husband out of politics. Later, God told me that He will leave him there for Him to prove His power.

"After we left, Gen Tunji Olurin came, Segun Oni and come Governor Kayode Fayemi and today God has manifested His power. This is not by our power or strength, but by the grace of God."

A Policeman was confirmed dead as he slumped at died during a police promotional exam for the rank of Sergeant and Inspector at
the Police College, Ikeja.

The Victim who was known as Lekan is attached to the Oyo state police command.. His Colleagues told Vanguard that he has been sick before coming to the exam.

They also added that he was involved in an auto accident back in Oyo state and due to the exams,he came with his bad health condition to still participate in the promotional exam.

According to his friend who spoke to Vanguard, Lekan passed the promotional exam.

On the day of Installation of ranks,50 policemen who were to be installed all stood in line with senior officers awaiting the arrival of the Inspector general of Police;only for Lekan to slump at that point.
