b'day:
FG plan to recruit massively next year
Next year budget is titled:Budget of job creation.
Goodluck!

LOL! Please don't be decieved by the name they chose to tag the budget. The major component of a successful budget is IMPLEMENTATION. 2013 budget performance is very low with less than average implementation. FG cannot be trusted when it comes to budget implementation and those who are supposed to monitor budget performances (i.e legislastive arm) are enjoying from the largesse of these MDAs with poor budget performance.

This has always been the norm, however let us be hopeful that 2014 will be a different year.

ejiykzazi2007: I use to think applicants respond to free advert more than d ones that require a fee for forms. If this is true, den permit me to say that pple applied more for the NYSC advert which had many vancancies more dan d NIS advert. But NYSC ended application on the 3rd nd cal for text on the 21st. Y is NIS takin dis long abeg?

Not exactly bro, even though NYSC announced for more positions, the number of people who applied for NYSC is dwarfed by those who applied for NIS.

There are several people who are currently employed but are willing to leave their current jobs for a paramilitary job mainly because of the pay. Same cannot be said about NYSC. I can 'CATEGORICALLY' tell you that NYSC salary structure is poor compared to NIS and promotion is very slow. I'll leave my current job for NYSC if only I am under a spell. grin

Politics / Federal House Of Reps Leadership To Change Soon? by vicope: 12:05pm On Dec 18, 2013
As it seems, about 8 honorable members of the house of reps may be defecting to APC from PDP today (Wednesday).

From the body language of most honorable members in the House, the leadership of the house is most likely to change (if not before Friday when the house will be going on recess till January, then most definitely as soon as the house resumes in January).

According to strong sources, Tambuwal is most likely to remain (we all know where he stands)........but the deputy speaker, house leader, majority whip etc will be taken over by APC.

Talks are still going on in the senate as more senators are being convinced to defect to APC in order to be able to have a majority needed to effect change in senate leadership.

Do you think the House of Reps will perform its legislative duties better under a new leadership? Please share your constructive opinions! Meanwhile, none of these information has been confirmed, but they are most likely to happen judging from the current affairs in the National Assembly.

EDITED: 37 members (not 8 ) actually defected to APC this morning!

I sincerely apologize to those who are genuinely disappointed with my latest reaction, but if anyone cannot mediate in a matured and diplomatic manner such as the way U and Lawal have gone about it, they should just shut up and move on! I already stated in my previous post, I won't overlook a single insult from any1. If they say 1, I'll reply with 3. @Lawal, your posts always depicts maturity and diplomacy, that I so much respect about U.

If U have noticed from my previous posts, I'm not into the habit of insulting others, but lately these immatured ignorant '8888' feel they can just direct any obnoxious statement to anyone. Respect is reciprocal and should be mutual.......

I don't visit the CDFIPB, so I don't write about NIS exam date, I have only written about the things I saw and confirmed like the various recommendation lists I came across at NASS, the visit of the paramilitary chiefs to NASS, the recently concluded Fire service replacement and the call I received from an uncle working with NSCDC. I rely on this thread for other info such as exam date. Though I have a workplace, I still find time to visit the NASS as often as possible. Any information I give from NASS is eye-witnessed and not hearsay. If anyone chooses to believe me, fine! If u choose not to believe, fine, just keep quiet, ignore me and move on. But making derogatory statements cos U don't believe me? I'll simply tell you to GO AND DIE! I owe no one any apology for any information I give. If u cannot discern between the right and wrong information, that's your fvcking business!

LB: As regard the exam date, Let us always give others the benefit of doubt. If anyone says the exam is 10th, he must have heard something! If it eventually happens not to be 10th, it necessarily doesn't mean that person lied, plans may have just changed from the top, and no one can be held responsible for that! If 10th comes, and we don't hear anything, we can only wait for a new date. Why insult others for sharing information?

Dont tell us u'l giv him a call and get back to us. Who're u fooling? We're all pundits.... We knw what's at stake. Money! So spew the ideas and lets get to be friends, contatc me via ****

I like the fact that u're fortright, however in this case, money isn't everything! Slots are allocated to powerful ppl.......and these ppl determine who gets the slots. How much do U want to to offer a senator, emir, or a member of the CDFIPB?

Most times, people who are given slots usually do not sell them, it is when they give such slot to an uninterested person, that the people close to that person take advantage by selling the slot. I should be right to say buying of jobs are more common in replacement than recruitment.

Please don't be too desperate. U talked about money and still dropped your mobile number. By now, you should have received several calls from people telling you that slots are available for sale, right? Be wise pls.

Perfect response! In addition, let your answer be apt and brief! If possible, summarize it into a sentence or two. Just as he (Nonso) had explained, your answer will depend on the type of organization you are seeking employment into and the position you applied for.

I would have given you an example, but my context may not be applicable to the organisation you are seeking employment. However, if it is about NIS, I don't think this question will ever be asked. Cheers!

My dear to verify if house committee chairman and vice chairman, senate committee chairman and vice or even members of the committee on interior has upper hand on NIS. Get a letter from any of them (rep or senator in the committee), make sure he or she calls (just to confirm if the letter was received) or forward your name, application number and qualification to Abba Moro, CG of NIS, perm sec ministry of interior or even the director of CDFIPSB. If u don't get this current NIS job, then something is wrong spiritually

I think that's the only way u will believe. Give it a trial and see things for your self

NOTE: not just a single call but plus a reminder always or just a single visit in person (this is the best of all if the rep or senator will accord u such opportunity)

You just spoke my mind!

U really know the rule of the game. Just that some people on this thread will not understand. If I say the number of applicants being recommended by the presidency [president, his current wife, the daugther of the first wife, vice president, the presidential aides (especially Reuben Abati, Doyin Okupe and Gulak)], and some other people in the presidency on this immigration recruitment some people here will say its a lie.

Last two weeks a lady working with my cousin in abuja did her documentation in fire service as a grade level 07. I saw the appointment letter with my naked eye

I don't talk much. in fact vicope u have said it all. Let's some people doubt u but the fact remains that what u r saying is the perfect truth, let them go and verify and see things by themselves. God will surely grant us our desires

I don't doubt what some guys on this thread are saying about slots. From what I know and have seen, any rep member or a senator can write a recommendation letter to anybody that approach him if he or she wishes to do so (especially if the person is coming from the constituency he or she represent). But not all those letters are honoured most especially if its not followed up my the rep or senator involved. But if the rep or a senator is a chairman, vice chairman or have an oversight in the agency or ministry doing the recruitment, then most of the applicant recommended will be taking (if he recommend large number of people, most times in order of priority or scale of preference ) or all on the list will be taking (if he recommends few applicants). But I believe that any applicant recommended my the senate president and deputy, speaker and deputy, chief whip and deputy, majority leader and minority leader(thought they recommend large number). Its only God that is the ultimate. Its well

Bravo! You have very great knowledge of how this thing works. To butress your point, a recommendation letter is only effective if the person issuing the letter is a chairman/vice chairman/member of the commitee oversighting that MDA. Also, since recommendation letters come in every day, only those whose letters are backed by calls or physical visit from the issuer of the letter to the head of the MDA in question have better chances. May I also add that when it comes to paramilitary recruitment/replacement, individual recommendation letters are rarely issued instead a compilation of names are sent.

I said David Mark sent over 70 names, some people are crying foul. Whereas David Mark's Legislative aides, PAs or even secretary will still smuggle letters to the Ministry of Interior (though consideration of this type of letter is solely on luck).

A friend of mine got a job last year with a recommendation letter from David Mark. The letter was signed by Mark's PA and I swear that Mark wasn't aware of that letter. The PA hammered the DG with calls claiming he was acting on behalf of Mark........The DG give my guy work sharp sharp grin

femi20: Pls anybody with useful info about fire service, cos I heard something is really going on

Fire service is currently under fire from Fed Character Commission. They did an underG recruitment recently and it became public because they recruited too many and some tribes were favored over others.

For those who have been following up with NSCDC, I ASSURE you that something is going on there now. On tuesday last week, I received a call from an uncle who works with NSCDC and he asked me if I have anyone who studied accounting, economics, business administration or secretarial studies, that those are the disciplines they are currently looking for. I immediately referred my friend who studied accounting to him and he asked my friend to come and fill a form. He was asked to expect a call soon and no dime was collected from him whatsoever. So if you know your onions, now is the time to lobby! God bless.

@suxess001, U are entitled to your opinion! I don't need you to believe my claims......but one thing I won't accept from you is insinuating that I'm lying. Over the past two weeks, I've spent more time at the Nat. Assembly than I have at my work place......all because I've been trying to lobby my Honorable to assist me concerning some things (immigration included).....what would I achieve from lying when my own name hasn't even found its way into any of the numerous recommendation lists flying around? I know what I saw and I repeat that Senator David Mark's letter head sent OVER 70 names. I am not blind o neither do I have mental problem!

@Lawal and Oersted, U guys understand what's really going on. The truth remains that not everyone on David Mark's or Pategi's list will be selected at the end. Its not an automatic ticket. 70-80% might be taken, but I don't think everyone on that list will be selected.

For those asking about traditional rulers, and governors.......they cannot send list directly to the board, they have to go through their representatives in the national assembly. The senators/honorables are more relevant in the sense that they approve budgets, oversight the agencies through their committees and approve nominations for appointment.

suxess001:

And truly, that test we are waiting for is nothing but a charade as the real list is already been compiled already.

Let's still hope on God for the best. This ur information cant b true. Because hon. Pategi is not d chairman of interior but a hon. Member from sokoto state and inlaw 2 fmr. N.S.A. Though i'll not mention name. 2ndly concerning d suspension of d recruitment. House did not suspend it. Whats causing delay is an issue btw d M.O.I. & C.G.I. Which was resolved yesterday. Thirdly d slots given 2 chair house commitee on interior is not up to 30 not 2 talk of one hon. Member of interior. And lastly as at now d date of aptitude test is not fixed contrary 2 rumor on dis forum dat it will hold 1st sat of december. I'll urge everybody 2 pray hard as all of u have equal chance of being shortlisted. Good luck 2 all.

Yes, it was a typo error. Hon Bature is actually the Chairman, the letter I saw was from Hon. Pategi to Hon. Bature. The reason I had the mix-up was because it was Pategi's letter head I saw but it was actually addressed to Bature. Let's call names pls, there is no need hiding anything......Nigerians are aware of what is going on already!

Secondly, I tell u CATEGORICALLY that I saw 30 names on that list. Infact, on Tuesday, I was at NASS again and I came across a list sent by Sen David Mark to the Ministry of interior and in that list were over 70 names (emphasis on over). The list was received and stamped at the Ministry and the acknowledged copy was returned to NASS (which is the one I sighted). I don't know where you got your info abt the House chairman not been entitled to 30 names, when another Hon. who is not even the chairman can recommend up to 30 names.

Thanks for spotting my mistake! Cheers
