kensmoney: Good morning, You can only get attestation letter if the province you want to study already developed a process to get it. As of now, only Quebec province already has its process done. The deadline for provinces to develop a process to get attestation letter is March 31st, 2024. Do your research and keep your eyes on the province you want to study. 2 Likes |

Toniamelody: In my opinion, if you don't pay up your tuition fee, you admission may be revoked. If your admission is revoked, and your study visa later approved, you may need to reapply to the school again if allowed. If not allowed by the school, you will have to forfeit your study permit as you can't use a study visa approval linked to one school to attend the other. In this case, you will have to submit another study permit application. In other way, if you pay up, and your study permit is refused for example, you can defer your intake to next intake and reapply. If you decide you don't want to reapply, you can request for a refund of your tuition paid by showing your school your refusal letter. Although every school with their conditions, some school may fully refund you, while some school will remove an amount and refund you the balance depends on your school refund policy. You may check your school refund policy for more My Opinion Pay up your fees and have faith. Either good or bad, you can still use your paid tuition receipt to reapply. However, have faith and pray, it will surely end in praise. 3 Likes |

AskGod07:Okay, if you have shown enough funds and with enough evidence, then your LOE would have be the problem maybe. If you are planning to reapply either it's visitor or same visa, then I will say explain the funds and it's sources in tabular form. The Funds, The Source and The Amount in CAD. Then reference your proof of each sources in another space in the table. So when the VO look at it, they will go straight to the proof you shown through that reference for each funds. With that they will understand better. Kindly note that, the visa officer that reviewed your own application may not be the one that will review theirs since it was submitted separately. So if you are planning to reapply, kindly ensure you explain well in your LOE as every applications are treated on its own merit. In addition, kindly note that visitor's visa holder can't work in Canada unless you are able to covert it to closed work permit in Canada with eligible LMIA employer which may not come so fast as expected. |

AskGod07: First thing first, you need to review the funds submitted for your wife. Is it sufficient? What sufficient to you may not sufficient to the VO. Most of the time, if you submitted sufficient funds and you been denied based on insufficient funds is mostly you didn't submit enough evidence as per the source/s of the funds. You need to show how your wife accumulated her savings. If she's a business owner, show previous receipts of job/contract done and the business bank statement with her personal bank statement. If she's an employee of a company, she will need to show employment letter and payslip. Another thing is that of you need to show CAD30k for example, ensure you add minimum of CAD5k in case of exchange rate fluctuations. As for your kids, that reason is associated with the purpose of their study. I think that has to do with your SOP or not inline with their previous studies. Ensure you explain in such a way that a kindergarten boy will find it quite easy to understand. You may also order their GCMS Notes to see the real reason behind the refusals. 1 Like |

Xpemech: You don't need much. 1. Letter from the company or the person stating why they want to sponsor you. 2. The company's/person's Bank Statement 3. Enough evidence pertaining to the source of funds of the company or the person. 4. Ensure you explain those documents in details in SOP/LOE 5. All other documents about you like your CV and your Academic Records. Make sure you also submit your personal bank statement and have some money in your account. 6. If you are employed, ensure you include your employment letter and your pay slip. 7. If they are sending the money to your account, ensure you do gift deed to back it up. 8. Ensure you have strong home ties and explain it in LOE 3 Likes |

Lijay92: You can request for your GCMS note to know the actual reason. But to my understanding, having denied your application wasn't because you don't have money, it may probably because you didn't show proofs of the source of the money. Secondly, you didn't explain the source in your LOE/SOP. Here is my advice, firstly, let you dad send the money to your account and you do a gift deed to back it up. Secondly, let your dad show proofs of the source of the funds like job/contract letter from clients or previous receipts of contracts done. If your dad pay tax, include tax payment receipt. Mostly importantly, explain those documents in your SOP/LOE. In my case, I was rejected for financial reason, although I'm a self sponsored. I reapply again and include those documents mentioned above to show the source of funds in my personal account without applying for GCMS note and I was approved in my second application. Although, I later applied for GCMS note after I had submitted my application, that was exactly the concern of the officer. He said limited evidence pertaining to the source funds, and that he wasn't convinced that the money is sufficient and that the money was only for show purpose to be able to meet the financial requirement. So, don't relent. Get strong documents to back up the source of your dad's income. It will end in praise. 7 Likes |

augustine128: I think you should reapply to same school and same program to avoid reapplying for new study permit, you will only need to send the new offer letter to IRCC via webform. If you want to change your school, you will have to apply for new study permit with the new offer letter from the school because tuition can't be the same. |

bobodudu100: PR? Have you submitted your profile to express entry pool? Have you received ITA? If yes, then you can apply for your PR and apply for your PhD when you get to Canada. If no, it's not possible to apply for PR. You can only submit your profile to express entry pool and wait till you receive ITA (invitation to apply) |

My input is that everyone should not have such high expectations going to Canada, you may be disappointed. Canada is not heaven and every country with her own challenges. Which is why you should have cogent reason and motive behind your going to Canada and not making money. Know that at the beginning, it will be very hard, but pays at the end for those who can stand and rugged it. 5 Likes |

Victorious1000: The new rule will apply to your application, no work permit for you if your spouse is going for undergraduate program, diploma or certificate program except if your spouse is a master or PhD student. Currently, as said by Mac Miller, processing of study permit will be paused till March 31st to enable provinces to build a process for issuance of attestation letter. Note that this letter must be included in study permit application. So, no study permit application for now till march 31st 2 Likes

AtoningBlood: If your school is public college/university, you don't have issue with PGWP eligibility. Those institutions affected are private institutions which are not PGWP eligible but was licensed to offer public Institutions curriculum. It refers to as Public-Private Model Institutions. Example of public colleges/Universities are UBC, UoT, Centennial College, Seneca College, Humber College etc. Example of Private-Public Colleges/Universities are University Canada West, CCTB, Alpha College etc. Just research your school on Google to confirm. Iyke6505: Sorry for your wife refusal. I can understand, I've experienced same before. However, don't relent, just reapply with stronger proof. I think the VO question your wife years in business being less than 3 years. Did you explain in your SOP that your wife has been in the business for some years back and show proof to back it up? In my own case, although I started my business in 2012 and registered it in 2016 which I explained in SOP and showed my Facebook page creation date that shows 2012 to convince the VO. In my opinion, if there's proof you can show to back up your claim that your wife has been operating her business for the years you claimed, it may convince the VO. Sorry for the refusal bro. 3 Likes |

People should not misunderstand the statement of the minister about PGWP eligibility for colleges. He said, "Starting September 1, 2024, international students who begin a study program that is part of a curriculum licensing arrangement will no longer be eligible for a postgraduation work permit upon graduation. Under curriculum licensing agreements, students physically attend a private college that has been licensed to deliver the curriculum of an associated public college. These programs have seen significant growth in attracting international students in recent years, though they have less oversight than public colleges and they act as a loophole with regards to post-graduation work permit eligibility" That is, there are some private colleges licenced as an affiliate of a public colleges to deliver public colleges programs. For example, you applied to UBC, and the program was delivered in their licenced affiliate private colleges initially which are not PGWP eligible colleges, you will not be eligible for PGWP. So ensure you choose your school wisely and know how your program will be delivered. Thank you 2 Likes

You will submit your passport to where you did your biometric for stamping either in person or by any courier company. However, if you choose to submit yourself, you will have to book an appointment online. I just sent mine yesterday too to same Lagos. Is it detailed enough now? |
