Please help me out on this. My client has requested that the inventory system i developed for her should print customers receipts with thermal printer. I used VB.NET and crystal report for reporting but i dont have idea on printing from crystal report with thermal printer and i have tried googling, no good result. How do i go about this please?

It is very simple. Simply download my software, USB DEFENCE and install on your system. Open the application and plug the flash drive into any of the usb ports and check the box on enable read/write permission on usb devices. Click on OK. Then, remove the flash and plug again. That message it is giving u is the message you will recieve when you use usb defence to protect your flash drive. Give me feed back when u r done.

If you don't want to share your flash with anyone, simply plug your flash drive to your system and just click a button. Then, remove the flash. Do u know u can disable the USB ports of ur system so that when someone pluds a USB device such as flash drive, the device can not show up? Do u also know that u can protect ur flash drive so someone can not copy file into it from any system? We call this privatisation of flash drive. All these are possible. i havent tried any thing yet. Idont even know how to go about the algorithm much less the codeing. I use access database. I want it such that at any pint in time, a selected student will be assigned position in class.

Viewing the report

A software known as ReCOMP has been developed to assist lecturers in their jobs. This software allows a lecturer to register students offering his/her course(s), manage the scores of the student at any time with less less energy and time. The application automatically computes and grades the course scores and generate reports for the students of a particular department. it is true. Am a graduate of elect/elect/computer engrn dept, uniuyo. Further maths is only an added advantage when u gain admission and starte doing engineering maths. U dont need f. Maths for admission. It only helps if u have a D in maths.

Programming

Please, i am building an application for an evening secondary school for adults. The owner of the school wants the application to keep records of the students, compute their result and generate results. Am having proplem in computing result and where am having problem is in positioning each student according to their average scores. I want to read the average of the students from the database and automatically create the position a student falls to and save the position to the student's row. For instance, if there are 5 students with Olu having 63, Chidi having 88, Kazeem having 51, John having 45 and Agbo having 38, it should assign 1st position to Chidi, 2nd position to Olu, 3rd position to Kazeem and so forth till the last which is the 5th position to Agbo. Please help me in any way. I use VB.NET

Yeah, it was one of the challenges i had. Generating report was so hard that it wanted to frustrate me but with patience and hardwork, i made it. Am a guru in it. I can also put a button you will click and the report will be converted to PDF or MS word and saved in a folder, and it tells you the name of the folder ha ha. You will only open the folder to see your report in PDF or MS word.

Yeah, Javanian really understood me. I dont want it to be editable with any software. PDF could be converted to word, edited and converted back to PDF. It could also be edited with adobe professional or similar PDF editor. I want to prevent these. Thanks Javanian for ur understanding.

Thanks guys for your various contributions. I have finished developing the CGPA management system as specified in the requirements but i dont know how to export my reports to PDF with password so the results can not be edited by anyone. I want it to be read only and can not be edited with any software such as adobe acrobat professional. Any help?

The CGPA application u want to develop, is it for individual use by the students or for a whole students in a department to be used by exam officers of the department?? If it is the former, very simple. If it is the later, very tasking as you really have to think and reason the hell out of your brain. I am already developing the one for exam officers for a department but i use VB.NET. You only have to understand the problem you want to solve before you can solve it. All the best.

A good job u (are doing or have done) but am working on offline desktop app for exam officers. I have thought of a similar project before but i was discouraged with some reasons coz before i starte developing any thing, i try to meet those in question to know if what am about bringing out will be accepted.
So, are u through with the job?

Friends, am already progressing in the development but am using mysql database. So far, i have created the following؛‎
login page for exam officer and HOD of the department,
main menu,
module for entering courses,
module for selecting the courses being registered by a student, and with carry over courses under control.
Now working on the module for entering and computation/grading of scores.
I only work on it during week ends and thats why i cant finish it fast.

I think am begining to pick interest in the computerized learning aid. I think it will fetch some money.
