thank you so much. it has finally installed in my system and the reports showed successfully but the voucher report and pay summary were modified. The first set up is not like this second one. This second one downloads all the files for the application but I've been unable to download it successfully but i think its network problem. The only time i thought the download was complete, it popped out message that some file needed for the installation was missing. So, i believe its network. I've decided to use one of the best cyber cafe here and hope to give you feed back soon. Thanks for your patience

Pls sorry for the delay. I use the campus wireless lan to gain access to the internet but its shut down on friday and up again on monday till friday. That's why i haven't downloaded the set up file you provided link to but, i promise to do so and give you feedback with screenshots as you requested. we extracted it and installed. It loaded and we entered password and username. Error message talking about microsoft jet oledb came up. "admin" for both password and user name. So, i suspected it could be because of the payroll database which it could not find, i then copied the database to the same folder as the release folder but the same error came up.

I've done it as you directed and published again, it still can't load the report as it gives the same error. Would you like to see the codes? I would love it if you can publish it for me and tell me what you did. Honestly, the stuff is frustrating.

Bros thank you. But i tried it by copyin the report from the bin folder to the same folder with the set up. The same error message, "fail to load report". I just wish i could send it to you to do it for me. I really appreciate your assistance. Its actually my final year project i'm battlin with like this. Thanks broo

thanks for the reply. Please, i seem to be having little problem in the report creation. I did everythin and included the codes with the necessary modifications but the error message is :fail to load report. Its been so hard to succeed in i creating at least, one simple report. Thank you all for your replies. I later discovered that i'm supposed to put "sqlexpress" after "name of computer\" in the server name text box. When i correctued it, it tried to connect but displayed a message that i can't use sql studio 2005 wit sql server 2008. So i have to install sql mgt. Studio 2008. Thanks so much cos I've learnt.

I've finally deployed it by changin the connection string so the database will be in drive c of any computer but another problem while runnin it is that the reports can't load. This is really stressful.

Pls guys help me out. I installed visual studio.net 2010 express and later uninstalled it when a friend gave me professional edition 2008. I want to develope a sql server database for my windows application with my visual studio but it can't even connect even using sql server management studio express i downloaded. Is it that i don't have sql server installed? But i checked my installed programs and microsoft sql server 2008 is there. I tried to repair it but it could not as a file was missing. What's happenin because i'm new into programmin and i wish to go into .NET. Should i download another one and which site? Does it mean i don't have the server yet? Pls bear with my questions. I don't know much about it. I thank God i have you guys here for help. Thanks for contributing anything.

i'm in 400 level computer engineering. i actually want to do my final year project myself. i actually developed interest in .NET but have not started yet so, i downloaded and installed visualstudio.net express 2010. as i started, i found out that its only for learning. i am considering free softwares i can use for my project like WAMP SERVER but i don't know much about other things that go with it. i have to develope my web based software, and present to my lecturers since i can't give them my laptop. please help me with your advice because i can't afford the prize of those costly software.
