MrOposter: Let me tell you how the police will handle it: The mother of the buyer will pay an amount for bail. The police will extort the buyer for buying stolen goods. The brother (accused thief) of the owner will be arrested on sight by the police, the brother can be pressured to produce his brother before the solar system can be returned to him. Police can extort the family of the owner when the seller is arrested and or charge the case to court. The case is highly in favor of Nigeria Police - it is an opportunity to extort the buyer, seller and owner. The owner and buyer could have reached an agreement to settle out of court. The owner can confirm from his brother how much he obtained from the buyer and his family can do a refund to the buyer while the buyer in exchange return the solar system to the owner. The owner's brother is someone to keep at arm's length and he may be a common and wicked criminal. |

Nemere2020: CBN should withdraw all the licences of BDC operators asap. |
![]() |
In view of the FOREX exchange rate, after the CBN chose to float the exchange rate in the official market, that is now ridiculously high in value against the Naira, especially the dollar. I have observed some intervention efforts by CBN but I hope we can discuss some possible solutions and efforts that CBN can introduce to improve the situation of the Naira. I personally feel CBN needs to withdraw all BDC licenses with immediate effect and encourage all legitimate buyers and sellers of forex to approach commercial banks or DMBs. CBN must ensure FOREX liquidity of DMBs to meet legitimate demands for FOREX and ensure all banks properly document, with evidence, and report all transactions for proper tracking and confirmation of the use. CBN should also enforce a threshold or maximum amount of FOREX that DMBs can hold on their account for speculative purpose, all the excess should be sold into the market to meet demands of legitimate buyers. The federal government must complement CBN by criminalizing open transactions in FOREX within nigeria, instead of with the DMBs, and prosecution of offenders promptly in compliance with the laws. These steps will help to arrest the increasing demand for dollars and other forex. A lot of persons and organizations, including airline operators, oil and gas companies, property managers and developers and others chose to transact on businesses within Nigeria in FOREX. This is abnormal. |

Follow the court case instituted by the lawyers. Hopefully, it will not take so long to decide the case. We will all have a better understanding upon hearing the judgement. Stay safe. |

Jemex003: We are not all carefree and unskilled at assessing people and opportunities. When I say incompetent, I mean Paseiro is incompetent. I would rather have an Eguavon A. or Amunike or Siasia than Paseiro. |

yemex04: Investigator, read through my comments on this post. I indicated that I got an exemption through my Alma Mater via the process you have just enumerated. You have no business with my year of exemption. I have worked with these documents in several private organizations, even till date. You can register for mobilization but the question was: who filed your documents with NYSC? You just answered the simple question - "Okay, your School through the office of Dean, Students Affairs upload the names of all graduated Students called "Senate Lists" to the NYSC Portal" Your additional information is noted anyway. Do you even know why the filing has to be done by your higher institution or Alma Mater? |

Even if Paseiro wins AFCON 2024, I still want him sacked. I don't think he is competent 18 Likes |

Jackiedemie: I asked about filing for National Youth Service not mobilization. However, thanks for you input. Let's follow the case in court and see the outcome. |

djon78: The courts interpretes NYSC act, supersedes NYSC office and staff and your opinion. The issue with Kemi Adeosun is simply that the exemption certificate given to her was forged. Let me ask a question about this - "personally went to NYSC headquarters in Abuja to get clarification whether I should serve or exempt after returning to Nigeria" : who filed your documents with NYSC? Was it you or your Alma mater? |
![]() |
DeOTR: Who files your document with NYSC? Is it yourself or your tertiary institution? So if you agree that the person to file is your Alma mater, why would the school not file within a period of 1year upon your graduation when you were less than 30years old? Why would your school file your documents with NYSC several years after you and your mates graduated? Didn't your Alma mater file your documents with NYSC when you actually graduated? If they did and for some reasons you didn't go for service, what happened to the previous filing? Can someone be filed for NYSC service twice? There is a lot of issues with your position if you must argue in favor of it. You have a lot of questions to answer to defend your argument above. Don't worry, the matter is in court already so let us wait for the outcome. |
![]() |
Jackiedemie: Did the law tell you what happens with people who were below 30years old when they graduated but we're not filed to serve with NYSC for whatever reason and later turn up after they are above 30 years for service. The question you should ask is: who files your application for service with NYSC? Is it yourself or your Alma Mater or higher institution? However, this is not an argument worth my while because the matter is in court. You will do well to tell that to the court. You can apply to be joined as an interested party in the case. Thanks for your opinion, it is noted. |
![]() |
OGHENAOGIE: You be judge? If court says otherwise to your opinion, abeg go carry placard for protest and question the court. You are welcome to the file at the court to be joined as a party in the case in court. Run and make it ASAP. LOL ![]() Nigerians no go just gree for anybody even when wrong! |

Jackiedemie: Where there is a lacuna or vague information in the law, the courts interpret the law and give explicit position on it to prevent misinterpretation. This matter is already in court so wait for the outcome. You are not a judge and you position is simply your own interpretation of the NYSC act. The position of the court supersedes all other positions, though you can appeal it to the highest (supreme) court in Nigeria. Just follow the event in court as it unfolds. |
![]() |
Jackiedemie: I disagree with you, just like the various senior advocates of Nigeria - lawyers - disagree with your interpretation of the NYSC act. The only organization that can clarify us is the court so keep your argument pending till the court makes a pronouncement on it. We are not courts or judges. Simple. |
![]() |

The part of the act that you kept in bold does not explicitly address the age and eligibility confusion we are discussing. That is the reason some persons in connivance with NYSC officials tend to take advantage of the lacuna in the law. Never mind, there is no need for this argument, the matter is in court already. Let's see the interpretation of the courts on the age and eligibility confusion concerning NYSC. When a law isn't explicit, the courts provide clarity. |
![]() |
Jman06: There is no point for this argument, the matter is in court already. Let's see the interpretation of the courts on the age and eligibility confusion concerning NYSC. |
![]() |
DeOTR: I am also talking to you from my experience point of view too. I got an exemption from NYSC service because I was above 30 years of age when my Alma mater filed our documents. That act was not very explicit on the age matter hence the reason a few, in connivance with NYSC exploit it to their advantage. I believe that is the reason the lawyers (SANs) are filing the case in court to have the court establish clarity on that age and eligibility confusion. Otherwise, why do some falsify their age to qualify for NYSC service? |
![]() |
yemex04: Can you prove that "NYSC reckons with Age at Graduation for mobilization and you will be mobilized for NYSC even 30 years after graduation" by referencing and quoting the NYSC act, not what you think? NYSC issues service certificates to participants and NYSC also issues exemption certificates to those who are above 30 years old. You only need the NYSC certificate or NYSC exemption certificate or letter to get a job with both public and private organizations in Nigeria and to get government appointments. Open up your mind and learn, stop talking thrash on public media space. |

DeOTR: No! What you are entitled to get is an exemption from NYSC service. Simple! 1 Like |

Hedonisco: If you see older persons serving during NYSC, it means they falsified their ages or NYSC decided to compromise on the requirements of the act that established NYSC 1 Like |
![]() |
Hedonisco: That is not true. Once you are above the admissible age at filing for call-up, you are expected to get an exemption from NYSC service. Mind you, an exemption still qualifies you for private or public service and government appointments. 16 Likes 1 Share |
