Flowers:

Thanks sis. I went to several labs, they don't do the chlamydia culture. The one I eventually called this morning said it's 35k while the gonorrhea culture is 1500. I Don't want to pay 35k and repeat it again in the US. That was my reason for asking.

This test in question must be done in the USA, so my dear don't bother doing it on nigeria, cos u will b asked to repeat, plz check ur doc's correspondence and see d labs u can take along or send a mail asking them to state clearly the lab results u can come along with.

Hello everyone, want to share my POE experience which was Houston! Honestly post from here got me really scared of Houston but I had no choice because hubby n I wanted a direct flight so I decided to do the best thing. Cast everything into God's hand and let his will be done! Simple.
Left lagos Monday night, funny enough I was given priority as a preggie in our own MM airport!
Our flight got in 30mins early so we had to sit in the plane till 5:00am cos that is when immigration resumes. Fast forward to immigration desk......
Officer: hello
Me: morning (gave her my passport)
Officer: May I know why you are here?
Me: to have my baby
Officer: which hospital are you using?
Me: west Houston medical center
Officer: what do u do in nigeria
Me: I answered
Officer: when was your last visit to USA?
Me: Christmas last year
Officer: how much do u have on u?
Me: $4000.
Officer: ok (took my thumbprints n picture and asked me to go for secondary inspection)

At secondary inspection........there were a lot of us from different countries though cos a lot of planes came in at that time, when it was my turn
Officer: hello, y are u here?
Me: to have my baby
Officer: do u have correspondence with your doc?
Me: yes, so I brought out my burden of proof file and gave him dr la's letter showing I had made full payment ahead, also gave him receipt from WHMC showing payment.
Then he saw d next document in my file had us embassy logo so he asked to see it,
I then explained I sent a mail to the embassy stating my intention.
Officer : ok that's fine, how much do you have on u?
Me: $4000
Officer: can I go through the rest of d doc in ur file?
Me : sure! So he went through saw several email correspondence with dr la's office.
Officer: when did u get pregnant?
Me: told him, my guess was he wanted to check with when I applied for visa
Officer: ok lemme c ur cash, showed him then he stamped me in for 6 months,
Officer: please come along with all ur receipts the next time you come to us.
Me: ok thank you
Inside me I was dancing but they couldn't telllllllllll.
Next stop went to declare my food stuff, the officer I met just asked what I had inside, I replied Nigerian food items,
Officer: do I have egusi, ogbono, meat, suya?
Me: I Dnt have egusi meat or suya but I have ogbono and dry fish with pepper soup ingredient.
Officer: ok that's fine, she scanned the bag
I noticed the white couple in front of me, they opened their boxes to be checked after scanning so I asked, should I open the box,
Officer: Not necessary, you can go ma'am!

God is so so so so faithful

Meanwhile, I also had my indomine, Elubo, gari, groundnut, Maggi and dry pepper!

So my people "fear houston POE not" and commit all to God!

Sorry for the long epistle, had to share.

nefertitiram: Hi All,
I lost my babies, poor handling in ICU here in Nigeria, even at 7 months. Another reason why everybody needs to have their baby in the US! I pray no one experiences this kind of loss in Jesus Name,
I have managed to move on. Time to go back to the drawing board, sad loss after trying for a number of years.
I cannot question God.

My heart and soul goes out to you dear, my story is just like yours but they were 20wks old. God was and still is my strength, hold on to him, he will definitely restore in 100 folds. As I pray everyday, affiliction will not rise up again in Jesus name. May the heavens console you. Stay strong and hold on to God. He will never fail u!

Mrsfad2014: @ Ozycy, Thanks so much for the information, am really grateful. Can you advise on the Doctors fee? I planned to use doctor La. Also do you think they will accept all my medical laboratory tests from Nigeria hospital (Reddington)? Regards.

@Mrsfad2014 I plan using Dr la in December, they listed the test result you can bring from nigeria in their email. So check the lab list sent to you.

hawtmum: @web005: i flew United @ 34 weeks. They just asked for my fit to fly. But that was in May tho. I don't think anything has changed recently. This is what i found on their website.

Traveling while pregnant

Any woman in the first eight months of pregnancy will be allowed to travel on a United flight without medical documentation.

A woman traveling during her ninth month of pregnancy must have the original and two copies of an obstetrician’s certificate, which must be dated within three days (72 hours) prior to her flight departure. To best assure the pregnant traveler’s safety, it is preferable to have a certificate dated within one day of flight departure.

The certificate must state that the obstetrician has examined the customer and found her to be physically fit for air travel between the specified dates. The estimated birth date of the baby must be after the date of the last flight on the itinerary.

The customer should provide the original certificate to a United Representative at check-in. The remaining copies are for reference during air travel.

Thank you so much!
Now I can concentrate on looking for accommodation in Houston!
Please house I need help with this

Hello house, I have learnt a lot from this thread. Thanks everyone! Please I need help and advice. I plan flying united airline which is direct to houston, however united airline said their policy is 32wks with a clause
"We recommend 32 weeks as standard policy for travelling pregnant women.
34 weeks may be considered but that will be solely at the discretion of the officer checking you in at the airport."
I plan to travel btw 34-35wks. Has any1 here travelled with united airline after 32wks? Did you have any issue at d airport? Please advise.
Also can any1 recommend accommodation in Houston
Please reply
