Ha! Na wa oh.. does it mean no one else has done theirs? Please nah, you people should come and drop your experiences so we that are yet to have our session can be motivated.. I’m literally having a panic attack seeing this thread dry like this.. come out ohh plis dears cry
Lol. To be sincere, if you don't prepare well, you would regret of attending the interview. Those guys are intelligent and have a way of making you say the truth. So it's better you don't lie or back up your lies with enough evidence. Don't rush your words and don't mistakenly say what you ain't supposed to say...... I'm sorry if I just scared you but it's better to tell you what to expect so as to make you know how well you should prepare.

Your own is small. If it was assurance they it is understandable why you are complaining
I'm not the kind that stalk people but I'm just curious to know the kind of person you are inasmuch I tried to avoid that..

On May 31st this year around 4:28am, you claimed to be a final year student from the department of Finance,UNILAG under the Unilever Graduate Program thread.

On May 30 this year, around 9:16am, you asked people to share their interview experience under the Unilever Graduate Program Thread, claiming you are in your final year due to Corona virus and you asked people to share their interview experience so that you can prepare yourself for the future.

However on June 5 this year, around 3:47pm, you ended up attending the interview after deceiving them on the thread that you are a final year student and you only needed it the interview questions for life after school so as to prepare yourself.

Even on March 17, around 8:09pm on this PWC graduate program 2020, you asked people to spill out their test experience. You even asked them to tell you the questions because you were yet to do yours and needed "expo".

But it's so surprising that on Aug 9,around 2:50pm, you discouraged someone that dropped her interview experience for others to benefit and you even claimed it would affect your chance of getting the job coz you've done yours.

Can you please give more clarifications to everything I typed?

Kindly find the sources to my observations below while you use the date stated for easy verification.

I just had my interview. First session was "how do you think Nigeria can tackle unemployment?"

Lottssss of behavioural questions, Lots of them...I was probably asked all the behavioral questions that have been shared here, and more.

-What's the most challenging job you've done?
-Give us an example of when you've had to seek an opinion in carry out an assignment.
-Share an experience of your integrity being tested. Can't remember a lot of them, but I answered 10 or more

Interview lasted for 55mins. A part of me is happy that I finally got this interview off my chest, but this is another level of anxiety for me.

Goodluck man. Hope you had time to ask them questions too

Yeah, my friend and I were interviewed on the same day by the same panel.

I think the interview starts by 10am and ends around 4pm so yeah 6 people per day.
So it's safe to say 132 people made it to the interview unlike over 200 that usually make it to the interview in the past. Hence, the economy situation was included in their recruitment process this year making it more competitive.

Conclusion of my hypothesis : 60 >= 70 might be employed

I like your thought pattern but I believe your analysis is faulty.

As someone who made it to last year graduate associate interview but was unsuccessful, let me use my past experience to provide a more informed analysis regarding the subject matter. I hope this helps everyone with such questions.

Interviews would normally run for a full 31 days besides the holidays inbetween I think. That said, there are normally 2 panels comprising of 3 members, with each day having 10 candidates, and so this means that each panel of 3 interviews 5 candidates. On the day I interviewed last year, only 9 of us showed up. So it's possible that some won't turn up.

Judging by this analysis.

So far, I think this year has 24 interview days. I also believe that there are at least 10 candidates per day and two panels as well. Although I know that some persons again, May not honour their interview dates.

This means that at least 240 people have been scheduled for this interview, implying that at least 120 of those would be successful and this includes tax, assurance and advisory.

I believe PwC already have a quota figure in mind, but that does not necessarily mean that if more people do well, they would not be taken.

Good luck everyone!

P.S: These are just My own thoughts given my previous experience with the form last year.

Thanks for the insight! Well appreciated.

Tho I only based my assumption on this after confirming from two people that had their interview on the same day that the same panel interviewed them and not forgetting the fact that this year interview is not like last year..

But I could be wrong after your clarification. Thanks

OnyiNicole:
Lol Erica you’re cute.
Hi guys.. so quick question. Do they take the same number of people for both tax and assurance? Or does assurance take more applicants?
Let's analyze the number of people that made it to the interview stage first.

DISCLAIMER: The analysis you are about to see is based on assumption. You are advised not to believe it.

The interview started July 20th and expected to end Aug 20th (4 weeks). The first candidate is usually interviewed 11am each day and assumed to end 5pm. So for each day, 6 people are "assumed" to be interviewed.

Hence for the month of July, people were interviewed from July 20th to July 29th making it 8 days excluding Saturday and Sunday. Hence 48 people (8days * 6 people) were interviewed in July based on the assumption that it ended 5pm for each day.

For the month of August, the interview should last from 3rd August to 20th August making it 14 days excluding Saturday and Sunday. Hence 84 people (14days * 6 people) would be interviewed in August.

Hence 132 people (48 + 84) made it to the interview stage i.e on the assumption that the interview ends 5pm for each day which is not confirmed. But if it's 4pm, then it is assumed 110 made it to the interview.

Back to your question, following past trends, Assurance are usually more than Tax, while Tax are usually more than Advisory. Hence, Advisory is very competitive.

If you agree with my analysis, you can decide on your own the number of people that would be employed for each LOS. But if you really want to go by my analysis, to guide your judgment on how to project the number of people that would be employed, then we can compare the number of people employed in 2016 when there was economic downturn to the number of people that would be employed in 2020 using 2016 as the basis for assumption.

Unconfirmed source stated 120 made it to the interview stage in 2016 while less than 60 were employed due to the economic situation. It might not be the same in 2020... It is called "forecasting" in Economics. It could be right or wrong, so it is opened to criticism.

Why is the thread dry na?? Please continue dropping your experience to motivate others that are yet to do.

To those that sent me private messages, I'm sorry I didn't reply immediately. I've been quite very busy. I've replied your messages.

But if it's about the interview experience, kindly drop your questions here for others to benefit but if it's something personal, no wahala.

Eryckah911 would have dropped her yesterday's experience but someone reported her new account after banning the first one. So she's trying to resolve that

Finally!!!!!

I almost shouted "ahhh" when I was asked to speak on my topic but thank God I was stronger than my village people. The topic was on impulse buying.

Then the other questions were majorly to access "leadership, teamwork and excellence".. Tho I was only asked 3 behavioural questions and they focused more on my CV.

Please go and marry your CV oo

I beg you, don't go and be forming UK accent there oo coz some questions will not only restore you back to factory settings but to your dialect if you are not careful grin

Finally, make sure you ask the right questions!!

BTW, my network went off and logged me out during the interview. You can imagine the situation I was. I don't want to talk about it coz I almost cried. Tho I later logged in again but I don't know if it would count against me.

I need to attend to my inlaws.

cycklerhimself:
Guys anchoring bias is real, so you’d want to avoid it. If you’re yet to interview, please don’t let this unnecessary fixation on possible topics for section 1 make you nervous and unsettled.

It should be fairly obvious by now that anyone can be asked to discuss anything which implies that one is better-off focusing on interview discussion principles and techniques. Also, I believe that most of the topics you’re going to be asked to discuss are topics that on a normal day, you’d have tons of ideas about and can discuss for at least 5 minutes.

Here are a few tips for section 1 – that I think – that will enable you to come across as confident, strategic, and methodical.

1. Have a pen and paper with you so that you can write out the topic when it is being read out to you as well as relevant points about the topic that may immediately come to mind. Then request to read out to them what you just wrote and ask them to confirm if it’s correct. After this is when your time would start to count. The reason why (I think) this is crucial is that it enables you to buy some time to think about what to say.

2. Next, take a minute or two at the max to think about and write down relevant points. This leaves you with about 3 or 4 minutes to speak. The reason I consider this step a vital one is that it makes you come across as smart and strategic as opposed to someone that is quick to talk without thinking. Even if you’ve got a lot to say about a topic, it’s always good to take a couple of seconds to gather your thoughts.

3. Start with an introduction e.g., “here are 4 things that I think about this” or “what I think about this is three-fold” and take a minute to talk about each, if you fancy this approach.

4. Finally, just in case it happens that you’re presented with a topic that you’ve got zero ideas about, you could link that topic to a related one that you’re familiar with and discuss it. For e.g., say you were asked to discuss cybersecurity and you don’t really have any opinions about it, you could link it to cybercrime and discuss that instead. In this case, your intro would be sth like: “Unfortunately, I haven’t kept up with the developments on cybersecurity, but I do, however, think that it is tightly connected to the cybercrime that a handful of unemployed Nigerian youths are heavily involved with.” This makes you appear tactfully brilliant.

Disclaimer: I no be expert o! Just sharing my thoughts with anyone that might find it helpful.

Goodluck.
You too much!!!
