mekanta7: Yeah the university can start your visa process when all documents have been received but you must pay your tuition before the visa is issued. Read the acceptance letter given to you all conditions are stated, otherwise call the university they are usually helpful. Best wishes |

mekanta7: I work with an American college South Cyprus as their agent recruiting students. You have to pay tuition fees first before the visa can commence; you can email the university to switch your agent to me. I will guide you FREELY to secure your visa. You will need to travel to Abuja for documents attestation. Send me an email with your acceptance letter. Best wishes! |

mekanta7: This your agent wants to build the 5th longest bridge in Africa with this excessive charges (400k). Tell him or her you will do it yourself. Visa to south Cyprus Universities is processed by the universities there. Have you paid the tuition fee? All non-EU students, who apply to the Universities in South Cyprus, require a visa to enter Cyprus. Provided that all the required documents and payments have been received, the University will submit the student’s documents to the Migration Authorities and Ministry of Education for further approval. Once the visa application is approved, the visa will be issued in Cyprus and the student will be informed accordingly. A copy of the visa will be sent to the student as this will be required for the student to travel. The visa fee cost 80-150 euro depends on the university processing it. To apply for the visa, email the university there or call them, the step to take will be given FREELY to use and they will initiate the visa process for you. Here are the general documents required for South Cyprus Student Visa: 1. Student Visa Fee (visa application will not be processed without this non-refundable fee) 2. Original attested copy of High School Leaving Certificate and transcript 3. Original attested passport copy 4. Original attested Police Clearance Certificate (6 months validity period) 5. Original attested bank letter (6 months validity period) stating that the student’s sponsor has the financial ability to support his/her living, tuition and repatriation expenses. Sponsor may only be Father/Mother/ Self. In case of another Sponsor, please supply a Court Affidavit. The letter must also clearly state the relationship between Sponsor and student 6. Original attested bank statement (1-month validity) which clearly shows the minimum amount of €7,000 in the sponsor’s account 7. Original attested blood test results for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C (4 months validity) 8. Original attested chest X-ray report for Tuberculosis (4 months validity) Best wishes! 2 Likes |

solidworks: Turkish embassy does not state any amount or range of money to be in your account for a visa. However, they look the account to see if you can pay your entire fees and accommodation and living expenses and still have some money left. For accommodation you will need minimum 2000$/yr in EMU region, minimum 100-150$ monthly expenses, your total master fee will be around 6800$ if you are not going to overstay. So use your initiative to play with thy figure considering above. 1 Like |

mekanta7: Because the north uses Turkish lira as national currency and wages in same which is far lower than euro currency use by the south. Living expenses are higher in the south and wages are in euro, hence to balance it, the fees will be higher. Compare to the north, wages are paid in Turkish lira and fees in (dollar, euro) so the North will benefit more hence can afford to have lower tuition. 1 Like |

harlardeen: Visit the Turkish embassy website and Mz visa website for the latest details regarding documents for the visa including which documents needs to be attested. Those are the people that deal with visa, not Nairaland. For any university, read the acceptance letter you have obtained, required list of documents needed are stated there or email or visit the university website, this is Nairaland, not NEU website. Here is for general information not specific in most cases, and as a prospective student, you must be able to use the internet to seek answers directly from the source. If you are misinformed here, who will you blame? random people? Embassy and universities websites are up to provide what you need. Best wishes |

Adesolomon2014: If is already published then you can’t publish a published article. For reputable journals general and self-plagiarism should be less than 6%. If your work is online then the software used by the journals will detect if you are copying pasting.. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Adesolomon2014: I am happy to hear that you completed your studies with degrees from Econs and Energy Econs. That's very good and well done. As per publishing your thesis in reputable journals: Usually, a normal research article is ranged within 2000-6000 words including manuscript, figure captions/table and references. So work in that line. I will attach a paper here now, try to download that paper and see what they have done. So if you have done something related in your Bsc and Msc and the data can be combined that's fine, if not if both are worthy and different, you can publish them differently. 1. First, visit the following sites scienceDirect.com, https://link.springer.com/, https://www.tandfonline.com/action/doSearch?AllField Type in keywords related to the title of your intended article and you will get lots of published work. Download related ones and see how it was arranged. 2. Secondly, If you are satisfied, select the journal of interest from the search above. The majority (98%) of journals published by Elsevier, Taylors and Springer publishers are reputable. Check the journal's authors guide and read what is expected of you. Best wishes 5 Likes 1 Share

harlardeen: Option 1: 1. Wear a nice dress and apply some natural perfume 2. Print out your NEU acceptance letter which contains the university bank details 3. Go to your bank either with your euro or naira equivalents and show them the acceptance letter and ask them to transfer to the university for you. 4. After transfer is done, request for the telex copy and send that to NEU so they can send your details to embassy 5. Apply for a visa by visiting Turkish embassy Abuja website for details and procedures. Option 2: If you have dormiciliary account (usually foreign currency based), log into your account online or mobile then extract NEU bank details after you loaded your money in your dorm account and transfer yourself. After few days your bank should issue your telex copy. 1 Like |

Ujawissy: Thank you sir/ma....I humbly appreciate you for the kind words! I am trying to create avenue for the young and old African with respect to research and academics. I have so much thirst for knowledge, so I spend time to read many things and try to know many things. I think human brain is quite powerful, it grows and thinks faster depending on how frequent it’s being used and what kind of information is loaded. I have strong passion for programming and computing, so I self-taught myself and become super good. I never studied electrical engineering but I read tonnage of books from undergrad to graduate level in electrical engineering and later I became vice dean of faculty of engineering .... So I believe many people can do the same, just by loading the right information, spend time on what they love, sharpen their brains and minds to enhance its creativity. I had a plan and target to become a professor at a younger age, I know what it takes to do it and had a laser focus on that.....I did it! So I believe when people focus, plan well and strongly determine to succeed irrespective of their situations/environments they will reach their goals. I hope this motivate and ginger someone today.... 17 Likes 4 Shares |

Current research in my lab: Flexible Energy storage device derived from sugar In this research: our goal is to design a very low-cost energy storage device that can store energy from sunlight (photovoltaic connected) or AC. Hence, we have fabricated a high-performance electrode material from sugar and doped it with boron to improve its energy and power density. We focused on improving its efficiency (specific capacitance) by using artificial intelligence modelling (machine learning) to understand the effects of certain variables. Researchers: Professor Wip7 and 4 of my PhD Students in the Departments of electrical and energy system. University: Eastern Mediterranean University 1 Like

ekrizz: Send me your email address (find my email in my signature), I will send you an invite that will allow Researchgate to accept your application. (2) For the search on ScienceDirect and GoogleScholar you recommended, is it to get a topic to research and write article on? To find topics and understand the article writing styles, challenges that need solutions and literature review. (3) My undergraduate project topic was "Economic Analysis of an Oil Rim Reservoir in the Niger Delta." It was actually about an oil rim reservoir that was produced (on simulation) using two production methods. The simulation was done using a Petroleum Engineering simulation software called Eclipse (owned by Schlumberger). Economic analysis was done on the two methods of production using some key economic parameters, and the one that's more profitable was recommended to be used to properly develop and produce the reservoir. Although, when my supervisor then approved the final chapter, he said I didn't do any investigation (I didn't even understand him). My specialty is Reservoir Engineering. Moreso, I did a project on "PVT Analysis of an Oil Condensate Reservoir" during my fourth year IT at Shell, Port-Harcourt. If your results are great, discussions and trend are worthy, then find a suitable journal to publish your findings. (4) My programming skill set include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, NodeJS, Java, Python, C# and C. But currently, I'm trying to build my online portfolio. I believe it'll help boost my CV. I've also developed interest in Data Analysis/Data Science, and I've started gathering resources to help me on it. I was glad to know that most mathematical backbone of Data Science was among the maths courses I did in my undergraduate days, and maths is one of my strengths. Fantastic, all those skills you have are needed these days. So let me tell you how I use those skills (my personal case). With my C#, python and MySQL skills: 1. I have designed a custom chemical database that searches FTIR (surface functional groups) and XRD (X-ray diffraction) peaks in unknown material and compare with well-known and reported material. This is currently in use in my department and customized commercially for two relatively new universities within my region. 2. I work a lot on wastewater treatment which requires heavy calculations on adsorption kinetics and isotherms. I have used C#, python and excel macros to build a personal software that does these calculations within 5 minutes, unlike the manual that takes weeks. Is currently being test-run by my PhD students to ensure all is fine. Then, I will share with related scientists in my field before going commercial. 3. Working on electrochemical biosensors for detection of analytes in food, wastes, sweat, water etc. I am designing a mobile-enabled app using Xamarin and Flutter on this. The sensors are expected to also go commercial and our focus on this is developing countries that are suffering from contaminants like Arsenic in Bangladesh, food poisonings etc and with a target of 1.5$ per sensor will likely strike a deal with UN, UNICEF, WHO and this will go commercial. We have collected over 1000 data from sites in Canada (the project is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada). My advice to you: With python, try to enhance your machine learning skills and interface it with artificial intelligence this is hotcake anywhere. With your C#. python and database skills: try design both desktop and mobile apps that will allow researchers to compare some unknown target to established target, you can also design a visualization software like GraphPad this is hotcake and many will buy it if is worthy. (5) Sir, what if I decide to do the Master's degree without scholarships and very limited funds? Will I be able to survive with the students' part-time jobs available? I hope international students can work part-time jobs in most American and European countries legally? I'm a dogged person, and I like abiding by laws of the land. Why I'm asking about this is because I like considering every scenario (both best and worst cases i.e with and without scholarships) in my dealings. If you are able to pay for at least 1-year tuition, accommodation and some living expenses, you should be fine with those computing skills you have. From my computing skills, I realized around 17, 000$ in 2019 and all these apps are custom-based imagine if it goes viral. Best wishes and let me know how I can be of help. Also, when am free can point you more app development ideas. 4 Likes 3 Shares |

ProfDave123: Good day, Once again congrats for your research efforts and I will encourage you to do more. I have gone through the journals you have published your research findings, very unfortunate, these journals are not reputable journals or rather not classified/indexed in databases which are internationally recognized as reputable journals. There are lots of journals worldwide, however, reputable universities worldwide accept publications that are indexed in Web of Science (WOS), SCI (Science Citation Index), SSCI (Social Science), AHSCI ( Arts and Humanities), MCI (Medical) or expanded forms. None of the above journals in which you have published is found in WOS or Clarivate. . You have a great results and have done brilliantly with your research and am happy with your progress. I will encourage you for your next research publication to first check the following and ensure the journals you have selected to publish are found in WOS or Clarivate; Below links will be of great help: Clarivate: https://mjl.clarivate.com/search-results WOS: https://www.webofknowledge.com/ Please I want to know how I can earn from my publications? Only articles published in the journals found in WOS are paid for by majority of Educational funding organizations. You may ask the university you are attached to, in case they have another rule. For the Turkish and Canadian universities, I am attached to pay for only journals in WOS/Clarivate. Also, I heard the University of Ilorin in Nigeria does the same pays around 150k naira (as I was told). May I know what exactly you are working on? I have couples of research works and some published on medical-related with special focus on antibacterial materials and biosensors for point of care. Best wishes and let me know if I can be of further help. 7 Likes 2 Shares

ejibaba: It’s a good way of support to researchers and also this encourages them to do more and in turn the country ranking will increase significantly. I was at the meeting of the stakeholders around early January 2020; the Turkish government scientific units budgeted around 13 billions dollar to support researchers in year 2020 and additional 5 billion usd expected from the private sector to enhance start-up from educational sector and research. Also, the lion's share in Turkey's 2019 budget was allocated to education with $30.5 billion. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

WOS number of your paper 2. IBAN from Turkish bank where the account name is same as that on the published paper 3. International passport number Update me if all are ready via email, I shall direct you on how to apply and get paid. To maximize or get more money, I go for more journal range between 5000-15,000 TL. Research on biofuel from insects wastes: FUNDED My lab has just received EU funding of around 200,000 euros for research on biofuel production from insects wastes. I am the leading professor in the project. Recent results from experiments show that insect waste can produce methane in similar quantities to manure and sewage, making it a viable source of renewable biofuel. According the reports from the Journal of Cleaner Production, using insect waste to produce methane gas could boost the environmentally friendly credentials of insect farming for animal and human food.
