richy16: Kindly ensure you are financially capable of paying your full fees including accommodation, tuition, maintenance and living expenses before traveling abroad either to Cyprus, USA, UK, Germany and Iraq or even South Africa. if you are going abroad for a master program; considering my experience and most international students in various countries; ensure you already have 80% of the entire fees if you are not given 100% scholarship. For undergrad ensure at least 2.5 years fees is fully ready and standby. Best wishes! richy16: Did you receive email about Ban from EMU? Please read the message from the earlier poster clearly; it says NEU! Also, if you’re have a specific questions relating to your admission or fees payment; I encourage you to email or call EMU; the university has professionals that handles international students queries. As I have mentioned in some of my earlier posts in some months ago, universities and immigration in Cyprus are currently working on modalities to ban or institute some conditions for applicants from certain countries. Only academically and financially ready students will be accommodated. If some of the proposals come approved; they may impose: —full tuition for entire study period —restrict number of applicants that will be allowed yearly from such country —many others |

magastefan: Registration for FALL is too early, so kindly wait. And generally university refund only when visa is refused but as I said no need to panic since FALL is still very very far we are even yet to start exam for spring semester and summer is still not started yet. |

richy16: Cyprus would prefer students that want to study and complete their studies in Cyprus not using Cyprus as a bridge. If you want to go/study in another country, you can apply directly to that country instead of going from one to another; doing this will make visa and admission difficult for genuine students from your country that want to complete their education in Cyprus. This has already affected and affecting Cameroonian applicants, now universities in Cyprus started blocking or making admission much difficult for Cameroonians. |

richy16: Cyprus don’t need a block account that’s done for students traveling to study in Germany. You only need a bank statement that attest to your financial capabilities during visa documentation. |
Travel / Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 5:51pm On Jun 04, 2021 |
richy16: EMU admission letter is written well if you carefully read it. Anyway, all fees in the admission letter already included/applied the 50% discount. So what you are paying is the discounted fees, ensure you are paying directly into EMU bank account to avoid stories. After your payment is confirmed by EMU, your details will be forwarded to Turkish embassy so you can apply for a visa and you will also receive payment confirmation letter which you will supply to the embassy as well. |

iyb: It’s easy, all emu graduates are issued alumni email address and you can easily use this email to request for that. If you did not activate this email, You have two options: 1. Direct option: Fill the WES form with all the details, sign it and email it to the registrar office. There is a person that handles this; they will tell you how much it cost for official transcript and how much to post it to WES and means of payment. So go ahead and pay; ensure you ask when it will be sent and if there are any tracking (generally they used normal post office for cheapest option which cost less but you may request them use MNG OR Aras Kargo which is faster but more expensive). You may first contact the registration office via email first for the procedure to request your transcript and send to WES; they may already have a template and procedure to take. 2. Indirect option: if you still have a friend or someone you know at EMU; send the filled WES form to them person; email EMU registrar office and copied the friend email. Let the person follow up for WES transcript sending; this may be faster but may be expensive if you are to pay the person for follow up. Generally EMU is fast and already be doing this process for ages so you won’t have issues with that. When I did mine in 2015, I used MNG kargo to WES Canada it cost me 50$ and arrived 4 days after and emu charged 100 TL for official transcript then. Now transcript might have increased to 150 TL (am unsure) and MNG kargo is around 70$ to Canada/USA as of 2 months ago while post office will cost just 30 TL and takes 15-30 days to arrive. |

lexuswagon: Yea all new students who are not native speakers take the entry English test. For any Nigerian; it’s easiest test which is just basic but I have seen a recent trend that even many Nigerian failed the test and the university sends them to English preparatory school. If you have English test scores you will be exempted, otherwise you will take the test before you are fully registered. Best wishes! |

Oduok: This is good and well done. What about CO2 emissions and other pollution as a result of the system you created? The orange colour of the flame indicates that it is not totally clean energy. Are you addressing that or how do you intend to address it in your design? Have you considered a biomass gasification system that is both commercially and environmentally beneficial? You can scale your design into a biomass-gasification conversion system for highly efficient power generation or you can design a similar system with some modifications to produce hydrogen gas or directly generate electricity. Hydrogen Energy's Benefits It is essentially a non-polluting energy source : When hydrogen is used to make fuel, the byproducts are completely harmless, with no known adverse effects. Hydrogen is used as a source of drinking water in the aerospace industry. Hydrogen is usually transformed into drinking water for astronauts on ships or space stations after it has been used. Hydrogen Energy is Non-toxic: It's non-toxic and uncommon as a source of energy. This indicates it's environmentally benign and doesn't harm or destroy human health in any way. This distinguishes it from other forms of energy, such as nuclear power and natural gas, which are both exceedingly dangerous and difficult to harness properly. Use of Hydrogen Greatly Reduces Pollution: When hydrogen and oxygen are mixed in a fuel cell, electricity is generated, which can be used to power automobiles, run an electric motor as a heat source, and a variety of other things. The sole byproducts of hydrogen's reaction with oxygen are water and heat, which is one of the benefits of using hydrogen as an energy carrier. Take note it has some disadvantages as well mainly storage complications and still new tech. Now the biomass can be converted to Hydrogen gas (see attached paper) or another type of cooking gas or for direct electricity generation. 4 Likes 2 Shares

Clue188: First, the university will not announce the date god you to depart, however, university advise all new students only to arrive just few weeks (1-2 weeks) to the start of their semester. One important thing to note is that, all students must have a legal resident permit which you can only apply after the university completely registered you into the immigration database. The university will only register new students completely when that semester starts. To answer your question: before pandemic; university and immigration will only allow any new students arrive the country 1-3 weeks to start of the course/semester. Due to pandemic; this rule has been relaxed since education is mostly online. But the question still remains why coming to Cyprus in June when your semester starts in September? The country is still partly locked due to pandemic, house rent and living expenses are on the high side. Jobs are scarce so what is motivating you to come early ? To enjoy the summer hot sun or the clean beach? Which will likely be closed to avoid virus spreading. Best wishes! |

nams77: Yes, as far as I'm aware, there are a variety of scholarship opportunities in Chemistry and other science-related fields. With the current pandemic, several funding organisations are diverting funds to study this or potential topics in that corridor, as well as environmental issues. Now to increase my chances of getting a fully- funded Ph.D scholarship, I'm being swayed to look in the direction Microbiology again. Microbiology is a fascinating discipline that has contributed to many scientific breakthroughs. If you like it, go for it, and because you already know what you're doing, it'll be a lot simpler. The most critical is to conduct research in areas that allow for cross-disciplinary collaboration, commercial benefit, and near industrial application, as well as areas that contribute significantly to current and future challenges. Too many people are pursuing a PhD these days, either because they want to be called a doctor or because they believe it will help them solve their current problems. However, a PhD programme should go above and beyond that. I wish you luck while you work on it. There are so many fields of applied microbiology research that you can investigate. 2 Likes |

Just Published: Ferrite based Materials for decontamination of antibiotic wastewater and bacterial contamination The removal of antibiotic residues and metabolites from aqueous environments is crucial because antibiotic resistance induced by excessive consumption of antibiotics is an increasing global health hazard that leads to higher medical costs and increased mortality. The study: here, we developed high-performance silver-doped ferrites for the rapid killing of bacteria species in contaminated water and antibiotic decontamination. This study will be valuable for those working in photocatalysis, bacterial killing and environmental management. Modified Graphene for Magnetic Hyperthermia cancer therapy Cancer treatment with high accuracy is a major concern of medical community. The typical therapies in-practice for cancer treatment include radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery. However, apart from being painful, these therapies lead to several side effects. Our approach: Here, we developed modified magnetic graphene for magnetic hyperthermia which is an alternative and promising non-invasive approach for cancer treatment. The magnetic thermoseeds are injected directly into the tumor area of the patient then the area is heated to an elevated temperature. Researchers: this is research is supervised by Prof.wip7, carried out by one new phd student and two master students. Interested in such research ? [quote author=BrainArch post=101604854]@wip7 , I was given admission msc in grine American university on March 15 last session and have paid my school fees of $1000. Could not travel because the session have started a week after my admission letter. Can I transfer to the next session?? . Am supposed to on 26th may. *How can i change me session cause I head it can only be changed once. Contact the university to change your admission letter to the upcoming semester. *plan on traveling on may 26th, it’s that a good time to travel for next session since admission have started for that Are you planning to join GAU for the summer semester? Generally, summer starts Around July, hence, travelling on May 26th is a waste of resources and noting you will be doing. If you are joining GAU for the Fall semester (September); it's totally unwise decision to come this early. Accommodation cost is averagely high and living expenses; its advisable to arrive just 10-15 days to the start of any semester you are joining. |
