Thanks for the enlightenment.
Do you have idea if the Navy in anyway accept 2:2 graduate, or what will be ur advise to such candidates that wants to give it a shot, i.e fill in 2:1 during registration in order to get the chance to sit for the exams then hope for the best during interview if selected.

Hahahahaha You want to buy job before you even do exam? Don’t try it oo.

Please, resumption has absolutely nothing to do with the regulars at Onne. If they leave before the resumption date, fine. But if not, cadets will still resume. But for the sake of the new cadets, I wish they leave before the resumption date, if not some may abandon their luggage and just carry on from camp.

Didn’t say it had anything to do with it. But last I heard, they wanted the officers to leave before the cadets come.

64RC Officers are on course at NNC, Onne. They resumed earlier this month and should be done on the 27th. DSSC25 is not resuming till they leave. Info as of now.
The new commandant as however been handed over to, he was the chairman of selection board for DSSC24. I tell you, that man has no joy, you will feel it.

I believe this job is lucrative and it pays considering those who said you would easily get tired of it,I believe it all depends on the department you are those who dont make contact to the sea or who at rear occasions do are those who actually see the job as frustrating, you can't compare me an hydrographer to a fellow naval officer who is a teacher in a naval school, I know of a guy who works at naval HQ abj in the Acc Dept he is doing very great.
So it all depends in the department you applied to.

Hehehehe

RAdm is the highest rank for everybody, not just DSSC (DRC) people. The only person who passes that rank to Vice Admiral is the CNS.

Yes sir. That’s what I meant, that they can’t be chief.

Thanks for this Information.

Please I also want to find out the restrictions for female officers (if there is any).... How true is it that as female you can't cross a certain rank, and which of the ranks is it if it is true..... Thank you for your reply

There are female R. Admirals (2 star generals) in the Nigerian Navy Officer cadre and they can’t go past that rank cause they’re DRC Officers. The first set of regular female officers are still SLt. Zero restrictions by the books.

Very apt sir. Even regular officers feel this way when they see their mates outside doing way better. I know a sqd ldr, Regular Officer, drown pilot, he got tired and left the job; to mention a few. You have to love the job and be happy to resume everyday to last. Those who just applied and got in cause they were looking for job, it is about turn you will do last last after Lt. Now that every rank is even 5 years and Lt Cdr is 6 years. You go tire.

Sometimes you just look out of the window and see what your former classmates are achieving outside. Then you suddenly realise your university certificate may have fetched you more out there. Then comes the resentment and grumbling. At that point, only those with genuine love for the job will remain. Those with godfathers that smuggled them in will turn about and go home. I can confidently tell you that even Lieutenants and sublieutenants are leaving the job.

Generally it's a good job, but your love will be tested. Only true love will last for long.

Lol... Even if u don't get retired, as a DSSC, without converting into Regular, I don't think u can go beyond d rank of a R. Adm by what is up there on d column.

With DSSC you can’t pass Lt Cdr. You convert to DRC (Direct Regular Commission). It’s different from RC. Army SSC can convert to RC. As DRC, you can reach R. Adm.

Short list for medical consultants is on the site... They are to be in Ojo between 4th April-10th... So the list might still be 2-3 weeks from now at least( if we are to enter Onne together..)

That was for this list. Training should be early May (or a tad earlier). All things being equal.

I call on mr tenderlaw and mr pejay alongside other honorable officers, now that NNBTS batch A will begin training by 7th this month, batch B will go by 25th of october, how will course 25 emerge when the training ground is just onne, and they both were supose to go together?
Thanks

The training grounds are separate. Ratings and DSSC officers train simultaneously at NNC Onne without interference.

I saw this special enlistment advert for consultants in today's newspaper... For those that have experience... Is it normally done this way? Or are the special consultants joining the dssc 25 much later after it has commenced? Sir Pijay, Oga Tenderlaw or any of the Ogas, pls help

No it isn't normally done this way
Everyone will be going for training together so no list till the enlistment process of the meds is concluded.
However, the process is been expedited. There won't be exam, straight up to selection board screening exercise then list.

Why is it only one for religion like that, and alot applied .
Please is there source for this, cos i dont see it credible!

Lmao... oh so you think an officer will just come here to make up things for you and be giving you false info cause his job isn't job enough for him?
Man comes here to render assistance by giving as accurate information as he can to help others be where he is. Go back pages and see how he's helped people. This is the 4th course now. Even his own course he had info to share, accurately.

Plus you think the Navy is building churches and mosques up and down? All the chaps and imams there now don't know the job again?
How many ICT applied? How many A&B applied?
The Navy will only select the number they need based on vacancy not based on how many people applied. Let them be one million that applied, if they need one, they select 1.

Enjoy your Monday gentleman.
