Basically, LGA card is an attestation issued by your LG, usually on an A6 paper. The form is the one you printed out from the navy website.

The commander said if u no u fall short of any the requirement eg age, qualification, medicals etc. Please just dont waste ur precious time and hard earned money coming to Onne, portharcourt even if u are shortlisted 4 interview. Secondly u are in competition with peeople of same state with u, not inter state competition. Thirdly, go and get ur National Id(dats if u met dall naval requirement above and is invited 4 interview). DECIDE WE U STAND NOW!!! No deceive urself o!

Very true, screening process is strict. In April, over 600 of about 900+ on camp were sent back home cause of age, qualification and medicals. Some states were left with about 3-5 of 25+ that were invited for interview after the first week

It "might" be true, because people in camp presently are to leave by January ending/early February(they resumed august 2017). Tho dssc24 had interviews in april2017(after writing exams in dec2016).

They resumed 5th July, 2017
So 6 months ends this month

Try go to any police station to get it signed today, if you can. Hopefully they won't even ask for the forms during the exam but it only makes sense to be on the safe side. I'd advise you go with all the print out tho'

This is same thing as indigene certificate nah, your local Government ought to have representatives in every state nah, they usually have those things....

Your indigene certificate is different from the LGA attestation form you printed out.

I can't but laugh at all these questions and confusion.

Instructions are clearly stated, some questions shouldn't be asked. However, let me help, with my little experience, clarify some things.

1. Whoever should sign whatever form is clearly stated on the form. Meet appropriate persons to sign.

2. Go to your exam center on Saturday with all your printed out forms, signed and photocopied. Along with PHOTOCOPIES of your credentials.
You may or may not have to tender them as it wasn't demanded last year. But be safe and smart.
Again, photocopies of credentials not originals. If you go with originals and misplace them in the middle of running up and down for exam, you're on your own.

3. Don't think it's going to be calm and straightforward, you'd enjoy he military chair for a while on Saturday. But keep your calm and stay focused.
And let me clear your doubt, calculators won't be allowed for the exam.
Follow strictly all instructions stated on the website

4. There's no dress code. Nonetheless, dress decent in Clothings that allow for easy and free movement. No need to shave at this stage.
Eat well before going for exam.

My question is, I am not close to my state of origin and also where I reside is far from my the state capital of my place of residence. Can a Lt col or colnel in the Nigerian Army that is from my state sign for me? He asked me to come for the signature tomorrow.

Commander or equivalent means navy commander or equivalent of that rank in the sister forces. That'd be Lt. col of army or wing commander of the Air Force.

You don't need to have one. There are other categories of people stated in the form that can sign for you. Having a military personnel sign doesn't better your chances nor does having your local government chairman weaken your chances. Just have it signed by one of the under listed persons and pray. Prepare well for the exam and if you get to screen stage, do your best and keep praying.

A quick question for the officers on this very helpful forum and this is to clarify this age thing. I happen to be 28 years right now but I would be 29 come January 23rd 2018. Which means I would be 29 before 31st of January, usually the age criteria for the previous years stated one be 28 before 31st of December of that year, which if it was so... i wouldnt be bothered. Dont know why they decided to change that this year. Anyways, I just hope this doesn't become a problem, but if it does at least I wouldn't regret d fact that i didn't try, due to the fact that I will be 7-8 days older than the stated age criteria.

Anyhow sha, navy was very very strict with age during the last enlistment and people who were 28 the year or registration but 29 the year of screening were screened out. But nothing is impossible. Better you're screened out than regret you didn't try. No harm, they won't beat you, they'd only tell you to carry your bag and go home.

All 3 that were selected from oyo this year had no connection. No military personnel even signed their guarantors form. Do your best and pray to your God if you have no connection. Nothing is impossible.

Make photocopies when all is duly signed and stamped.
